I'm not an expert but that sounds like fuel starvation. If it runs perfectly at lower revs, but only jerks when you hit a specific rev range, then this is exactly what happens when the fuel flow isn't enough for the power that the bike is demanding. On fuel injection systems like yours, it's likely to be a) dirt in the fuel system (check any fuel filters and fuel lines and injectors, clean/replace as necessary). Then b) the fuel pump, which seems unlikely on a newish bike, but would be fixed by replacing the pump, then c) the electronic system that controls how much fuel is being injected (which may be expensive to fix). Fingers crossed it's just dirt, even a small speck of dirt in the injector would give you problems.

Just because you have a rev counter that shows the red line at 8000 rpm does not mean that your motorcycle is capable of those revs!! You have a long-stroke air-cooled engine with a classic design, it's not a Ktm Duke 690. However, if it chokes at 4500 rpm, you actually have a problem, but please take pity on the engine and use it at acceptable speeds.

No worries, I just gave an example of how I redline my sportbikes in the past.
Note: I don't redline my sportbikes when riding casually on the street.
No, I wasn't redlining this Imperiale 400 (before the jerking problem at 4500RPM started).
I can't redline this bike now for sure, because the jerking and choking start at 4500RPM so I have to shift up immediately.

@rheamdc21 I have a Mash SixHundred and mine had problems with the TPS sensor due to the rain, basically there were wires in the sensor that were exposed to the rain and if they were not sealed the bike would go out of control, when starting the bike the revving would go up to 3500rpm sometimes 4000 rpm and the bike was always running fast, after a new tps and sealing the wires the problem was solved, I don't think you have the same problem, Maybe it's the ECU but as I'm not an expert it's worth having the mechanic check it out I hope you're lucky because in general I haven't heard of problems with the Imperial 400 I hope you're lucky because it's a cool bike to meditate in peace👍

I haven't brought it yet to a mechanic to check.
I will wait until the next oil and filter change.
      Thank you, my friend.

I understand the problem! But what are you going to do about it it's in the electronics design that way! I don't know how to fix it if it's a part of the brain box and it's been engineered that way! Talk to some qualified Filipino mechanics get advice or other call Benelli service professionals? Or get rid of this bike get a Honda or a Triumph my friend God bless Jesus is coming soon

Ang benelli at Bristol. Mga overpriced Rusi lang yan. Basta china wala kang aasahan na reliability. Sunod nyan mga motor na galing india. Mabilis din masira.
