Yup. That's the one thing about this otherwise perfect track.
The "sweetening" from the string section sounds suspiciously like a Nashville producer's idea of somehow making it more radio friendly.
I hold hope that at some future point there will be a "stripped" version of the record released that allows us to just hear these women bring it.

Recall how I happened to know that the owner of such a soulful voice, singer-songwriter Amanda Shires, lives on Earth. It was three or four years ago, when I stumbled upon her intervention on Blackberry Smoke rendition of "You Got Lucky"... Read her name on the screen. Then I sought her on TH-cam, and on the Wikipedia. I heard "You Are My Home", and "Traveling Alone" (by her husband Jason Isbell, and she... with her beautiful blonde braids, on the fiddle). Saludos from Guadalajara (Mexico). 20230727 (Thursday).

Love it! Love you!!! You have such a beautiful voice, I really wish you two would've slowed it down just a bit though. I have all the respect in the world for both of you. I didn't feel as relaxed through the song as I wish I could have. It's just my opinion, for me then, it would've been perfect. Plus, then it would've stretched out the amazing talent you both have to offer.
