There are 6 spots under the plate on the left that is housing the needle and walking foot bars that also need to be oiled. Juki recommends on a daily basis. And every 8 hours, take the top plate off and service the oiling points and wicks underneath there. Lots more to do than what is in this video. Check you manual.
Thanks so very much! I’ll do this tomorrow. I’m anxious to turn my new machine on. We really appreciate your time, effort and talent in presenting these instructional videos. We’d be lost without them! Merry Christmas ❤️🎄🎁🎄❤️
Thank you. I had a high pitched squeak on my Juki 1541, so I oiled everything as you suggested, and ran the machine to make sure the oil was ‘ dispersed.’ I still hear the squeak! Any suggestions?
Not related to oiling but what’s the maximum underfoot clearance on the 1541? Can you get 5/8” under the presser foot? My 1181N claims 13mm underfoot, but it’s tight at 13mm. Loosening the tension on both presser feet, helps a little.

What part of the machine is it coming from? Are you sure it is not the motor?
Would you be required to oil the DDL 8700 similar to demo? Ty
No. The DDL-8700 is self-oiling. You put oil in the oil pan and change it once a year.

The DNU-1541S will raise 5/8".
