I bought a strap that goes around my chest and shoulders for my tripltek because of the weight. I recommend it as you can let go of the controller and it's secure while you turn the drone on or off, etc...
With the position of the USB connection you would absolutely need a mount that accomidates it. The tripltek's connection is on the side so i had options, but again because of the thickness the options were limited.
Excellent overview. They have another, heavier version of this that has physical buttons and a heavily armored case. Mounting one to my motorcycle for mapping/navigation.
Wow, tripltek will have to change their website from "brightest tablet on the market" to " 2nd brightest..." And this one is much cheaper even at $499! Other than the ruggedness of the tripltek, this one seems a better buy for most drone enthusiasts.
A company no one has heard of. A mere 30 day warranty. And a $500 price tag makes this a hard choice at this time. I DO want to believe but if a new company doesn't have enough confidence in their own product to offer a decent warranty it's hard to feel good about laying down the cash. Just because they can wire a circuit board doesn't mean it's going to keep up with android and google changes over time. These issues are not a given and there is no indication they will continue to update the firmware as the world changes.
You're right, I couldn't find any warranty info on their website. That 30-day warranty is an Amazon warranty. I checked with Hugerock and they say the warranty is for one-year. I will circle back and ask them to make sure that is included wherever they list the product.

Any new codes? That one appears to be expired as of 5/24
@@sorryociffer They just reactivated it but unfortunately it’s only $30 off now.

What's it called? I'm gonna look that up and maybe do an update video.

Yea I tried a few options and none of them worked.

Oh that's a cool use case for this.
But how does the mount attach to the controller?
And will that mount let other Tablets attech to it?
This mount is only for the X7. It clamps onto the DJI controller. It’s pretty simple.
How hot does unit get
I haven't tested it on a really hot day yet, but so far it has not gotten very warm.
Can you increase the RAM?
You do an outstanding job of narrating! Like you I wish a lanyard was available. I wonder if there is someway to attach one?
A guy in the comments came up with a way to rig one up. It seems like a lot to do so I don't know if I'll go that route.
Thank you :)👍

Yep, almost half the price.
I have read in at least one review that you can not download non dji drone apps, such as Potensic and Femi. Is this true?
That is not true. I recently flew the Potensic Atom. This is an agnostic tablet running Android.
That is good news! Thanks, and keep up the good work!@@GadgetInspector
3d print a mount. :)
I have been meaning to get into 3D printers.....still working on that. Any that you would recommend for a beginner?
@@GadgetInspector Hard to go wrong with a Prusa MK4. Not the cheapest but has the best community and support.
