I had a clever idea in our kitchen where I installed the garbage disposal button next to the faucet too. Only most times my love is using water and stuffing peelings or just anything disposable and uses the button w/wet hands. Now she covers the button with a dishcloth. Maybe the best location for the vacuum switch would be inside the sink mounted highest on one of the sides.
