This song tackles on materialism basically. Carcacha means Jalopy. She basically is telling other girls that she doesn't care if her boyfriend isn't the best looking or has a fancy car. In this scenario his jalopy is very old and broken. She isn't embarrassed of him nor does she care if he's poor. He treats her like a Queen regardless. She says what matters the most is that her boyfriend is faithful.

This Astrodome is in 1995. Her family is finally going to release the 1993 and 1994 Astrodome full concert footage this year. Fans have been begging for years and were finally getting them. 🥳🥳🥳🥳

You notice her red lipstick on her mic? She would hold it so close to her mouth when singing, it got all stained. She would usually cleaned it afterwards with a brush, but for some reason she didn’t after this concert. So her mic currently still has the lipstick stains on it and it’s on her museum in Corpus Christi, Tx.

I visited the Selena museum in 2017 and the mic 🎤 she used in this performance looks like it was just used. It’s amazing how well preserved the lipstick on it is. Being in Corpus a d visiting the Selena sites was an experience I will NEVER forget🥰

The bass player is her brother and the guitar player is her Husband and her sister also played the drums but missed this performance

Her sister is the drummer (sadly she was sick during this concert, she said she's really sad because she wasn't in Selena's last concert before she passed). Her brother is her producer (the guy with the glasses and he did the count down). Her father is her manager. Her husband is the guitarist (he was the one who did the guitar solo in this performance).

I get excited when I see people experiencing Selena for the first time. She was truly special. The thing that set her apart was that she wasn’t only amazingly talented, but that she was extremely kind and close with her fans. She was known to never refuse a photograph or an autograph because she always shared how grateful she was for her supporters. Even at her highest peak, she always remained humble. Everyone couldn’t help but LOVE Selena.
Plus, she was a HUGE representation for Mexican-Americans and those of us who grew up with dual cultures, i.e., Mexican and American culture.
She seems absolutely amazing! We just did Como la Flor today! Her voice wowd me!

I've been a fan of Selena since I was a young boy in the 90's. To this day, I still rock her music and no, I still do not know what all of her lyrics mean, but great music is great music. She and her band were so great together!

The song is about her boyfriend having a Carcacha (old car) and her friends making fun of him, but she doesn't care because he treats her like a queen. She was 23 in this performance!.

My friend told me this song is about her man/boyfriend or her “crush” that she likes so much; he has a very old car and her friends (in the song) give her 💩 for it but she says no matter what she’s not ashamed and she still loves him for his loyalty, personality, etc. “Look ladies, I don’t regret nor am I ashamed of my gentleman. Even if he’s poor and has an old car he treats me like a queen; a true man.” Carcacha is Spanish for very old car that’s barely able to run almost 😂. Thanks to my friend for translating 😂

She had all the elements to becomes even a bigger artist: talent, natural beauty, charisma, and most importantly she was really humble and loved her fans. She was already a big star in Latin America and was ready to conquer the English market . She was recording her first English album when she was killed. "Dreaming of you" and "I could fall in love" were 2 songs released from that album she was working on.
Those were singles for the album, she had more English songs in there too.

Carcacha is a slang word for jalopy, and the song talks about a girl that's waiting for her guy cuz she's going out in a date, and her friends are making fun of her cuz he shows up with a jalopy and he's poor, but she is in love with him even he has no money and he just have a carcacha (jalopy) but he's faithful, and still treat her as a queen, and the chorus of the song says "Oh jalopy little by little, don't stop running now, oh Jalopy little by little don't let us down now " in Spanish its just a fun lyric and catchy song
