- Well this only took 3 attempts but they say third time is the charm and I’m glad because this looks AWESOME! I absolutely love the double 5% now I need to order some more tint to make the driver side match and have double 5% all the way around. Do not squeegee dry. Wet the tint against the glass and ontop of the tint. Learning with cheap tint actually makes you better. If you can make it look good you can use better tint
I learned that in my first fail video haha. Now I spray soapy water on it anytime I’m using the squeegee.
One thing I've learned it Quality Tint Matters lol I also learned I'm bad at doing a windshield but Can do Doors perfectly 😂
quick question so I heard that with tint tickets they can turn into a C misdemeanor is this true ? i really wanna get my windows blacked out , i live in Illinois btw i currently got 50 on the windshield and 15 on the sides they haven’t bothered me for it
I did 5 on 5 and it’s stupid ungodly way too dark at night. Like at stop signs or pulling out a driveway I have to roll windows down to be sure that nothings coming which too me is just unnecessary work for something that with just one layer was fine. Y I decided to do 5 on 5 idk but on a real sunny day I love it but that’s the only time I love it. 20 on 5 is what I should’ve done

Honestly i suggest anyone who is new to tinting that if you have the "know how" it will make it super easy if you pull the glass where you can. Lot easier to tint with the glass in your lap than in the truck
Honestly that would be a million times easier, most definitely if the truck is lifted or lowered putting you in an awkward angle.
I did that but I only did it for my back window love it ❤❤
I had to put new outer bearings in rear. End axles they were smoked in the purple truck

I’ve worked with all kinds (precut, gila, professional grade, shit even Walmart tint). I’ve never had a problem with either but I’ve had a lot of practice lmao nevertheless it looks good ! keep it up.

same i have walmart black magic on my truck right now and it came out really good just gotta be reaaaal carful with cheap tint lmao. honestly my only issue with the cheaper tint is the color. you expect it to look black and some of it looks blue or even grey. i did 2.5% on my truck and it looks grey i hate it. definitely gonna re do it lets see for the like 5th time? haha

@@AaronCates yeah my 5% walmart black magic is pretty black honestly it looks clean. but for some reason the 2.5% black magic looks grey like you can totally tell its not black and its even more apparent being that my entire truck is black. i also have my entire windshield done in 35% from an actual tint shop and its black af but sooooo clear its insane. can definitely tells when its high quality.
What kind of cleaner were you using? Or was it just water??
Soapy water. A couple drops of dish soap.

I didn't get double 5% percentage because I wanted it darker than that. I drive perfectly fine with it at night. And again... if it was pointless... I wouldn't have done it.

You know how much they charge?!?! its almost $400 For one layer of tint. 2 layers they charge another $200. I been to three places before i did it myself and i love my Double 5% Tint
