It is a Thanksgiving ceremony done as a Sign of Gratitude and Appreciation to the Sun god Misi Saljong for the blessings (the good harvest)! It was believed and still believed that if we are not thankful to the blesser for the blessings, it is going to be a bad omen. We may not be having a good harvest next year or maybe we may have sickness or disease because of the god’s wrath!
