Hello, first of all thanks a lot for your beneficial simulation, I have a question also. Could shear with me how many pressure load did you apply on it?
Hi, I have applied a displacement boundary condition (not a load), see 14:57 on the video. You can give some tens centimeters on the middle line of the poutre
@@vandangtran6454 thanks for your replying, I used the displacement in my model, and for boundary condition in two sides under the model, I used displacement boundary condition with initial step, after that I ran the model, and running completely finished. But I didn't get the simulation same yours. I think , I did a mistake in boundary condition. Could you tell me how did you apply the boundary condition?
Hi! the engineering constant (EC) material is a simple type of the orthotropic material. The EC material have been used in this case (for wood) to simplify the model and to reduce the number of parameter. The more the model is simple, the more it is well controlled. You can read the detail of the orthotropic material in the abaqus document (online). Regards!
yes! thanks for your note! it was cut without attention when making video. one second in this video, you see, I have shown the load part with displacement condition, some cm, following vertical negative direction, may be put at the mid-span
Hello, I see that you haven't made a lateral contact (penalty + hard contact) between the element.
Sir please share any videos on fatigue analysis of headed stud shear connectors in steel concrete composite beams

Why use engineering constant material instead of orthotropic? Please explain? Thanks! Btw I love Vietnam

Are there any possibility to get the final file from this video? thanks for a good video
hi,
did you used the same properties for your finger joint in the paper (interaction,...) ?
thanks !
yes, I did, because the properties of interaction used in the paper come from the experimental tests as well

thanks !
hi sir, why did you give plasticity to the material? and where have you obtained the plasticity values from?
Hi, yes I did. the plastic values of timber in compression and tension have been taken directly from experimental tests.
Hello Sir,
could you please make a modeling for cross laminated timber with voids between their lamellas in Abaqus ?
hi, send your section beam to me. i'll make video as possible
sorry Sir it looks that you missed the load part

greating dear.... please how can simulate post tension girder in abaqus
hi! see you soon
@@vandangtran6454 My PhD thesis.... is about post-tension bridge girder exposed to partially damage strand under considerable dead load
hello Dr, could u please make a Abaqus Modeling for charring rate of glulam timber. i highly appreciate ur help. thanks
Hello, sorry! but i have never solved this problem. You may find on the other channel. good luck!
Thanks sir
Good vid, questions to follow X
