None of the Lenovo options offer a mini led screen... I wish! I bought the 4090 version and I love the laptop! Don't hesitate to buy this if you're on the fence.. you can extend warranty up to 4 years for 180$ after you purchase.. lenovo is the only way to go when it comes to gaming laptops.
the sku for mini led is on the spec sheet and is currently available in china its just nowhere else "yet". Whether we will see them maybe, maybe not but it sure would be nice!

$1700?? Picked mine up for $1900 on Black Friday. One thing I'd like to point out is that the quiet mode (while actually very quiet) cuts the CPU power a little too aggressively for my taste, but I'm sure that can be alleviated by setting up a custom profile, haven't tried yet. On battery power I get extremely noticeable stuttering, unless I switch the profile to quiet. Even on quiet mode, it should run literally everything at 60+ fps, including new AAA releases at high, maybe with DLSS on. It runs siege at 150+ fps on battery power, old game but still. Performance is insanely good, cpu seems to hold it back a touch in games like siege, especially in quiet mode. Cyberpunk w/pathtracing is playable, which is insanely impressive. Battery life seems to be on the atrocious side, but for watching a movie or a few hours of tv/ youtube it should be fine. Maybe pick up an extended power cable if you want to watch a lot of movie in bed or something. 240hz is very nice. It's a really nice machine, hope you enjoy yours.

I’d never be gaming on battery, matter of fact outside of taking it to class a few times it only moves in my house with the power supply haha. Do you mostly prefer it in quiet mode? And what are your overall feelings on its build quality and screen? I’ve heard people critical of the display but I thought it looked really nice and I’m coming from a 300 nit panel so it’ll probably feel great to me no matter what lol
I don’t understand why Best Buy don’t sell the 4080 Model 🤷🏾♂️seems like Lenovo has some deal with AntOnline or maybe that Company somehow has it available and other Retailers Companies get it from there
I bought this recently and I'm having an issue where the HDMI works on an external monitor for a bit then the external monitor cant detect the laptop and i have to turn the laptop off everytime! Its so frustrating! I hope someone can help

man can u please be honest and tell me the honest thermals in all modes. Cause i have been looking at reviews and its good tbh. But as a user can u please guide me if i should buy this or not. And also does it have any coil whine??
Thats actually good for a laptop. 80c is LOW for this high level of performance. It's not till you start reaching the 99c + temps that you need to worry about thermal throttling and 105c +is where you really need to be concerned.
ordering straight from Lenovo is a proven mistake. I ordered a 4090 variant of this and got one with a poorly installed keyboard (It's electronically fine, but everything left of TGB rattles and flexes the characters around it VISIBLY, and everything on the right is fine. it took a month to build the machine and ship it originally, and now, month 2 waiting for their replacement to show up. Ordered another machine from them, curious if it'd get here first, and it's also been a month wait and 3 shipping delays. They asked me to review it, only to moderate my Review and not let it post, so they're also hard curating their reviews. DO NOT buy straight from Lenovo.
I just bought the 4090 a few days ago. Hopefully I can get by end of month because I'm leaving the country. Couldn't find anything that met all of my wants. Lenovo has a subtle classy design which I like but then I found out what they left out compared to last gen. WTF?! At this price point nobody is going to care about an extra few dollars just make it premium and give me a 17 or 18in screen!! I almost bought the Dell m18 but I'm sick of Dell after spending nearly a year trying to fix my Alienware x17 lemon. Lenovo gave me a good discount so I bought this on the spot as I was just tired of searching. Praying that this is a good laptop. Performance is supposed to be at or near the top of the heap so we'll see. Another big thing that gets me worked up is how Nvidia overcharges on their mobile video cards. RTX 4090 only performs as well as a desktop 3070!!! They shouldn't be able to name it a 4090 and force people to pay a premium. Oh well I just bought one so...I guess if people are paying then they obviously won't care. lol

In my desperation I looked everywhere and almost bought on Kijiji (not dropping over $4kCAD unless I pick up in person). Fortunately, I found one on eBay for a fair price and paid for express shipping. That's something you might consider. So far this beast runs a hell of a lot better that my Dell. To think that I was going to make another mistake and buy the m18. LOL

I wish the track pad was aligned with the center. I also miss the nub from the classic Thinkpads.

what are your thermals gaming ? i had like 65 first few days now it gets into 80's even with fans ramped up...higher if i go balanced too...

Left t4 io not supporting charging features. I Tried with pd, only rear io can charge.😅
There is not a mini-led option. There is only one IPS panel available.

The speakers sound worse than my 2019 y740 legion 😂 and all plastic now, not metal. But I like it and am happy with the 4080
