Between Abiriba and Osumenyi, Abiriba wins hands down. I previously argued that Abiriba was the most beautiful villa in Nigeria...that was until i watched a TH-cam clip of Ohafia few days ago. Abiriba has more beautiful and exquisite mansions than Ohafia, but Ohafia has that je ne sais quoi....that special something that makes it come tops. It's more serene, calm, unhurried, has more of that village feelling, is more environmetally clean and green, yet still has some nice mansions to top it all up.
Ohafia is a much larger community than Abiriba, But those town can not be compared, Everything you see in Ohafia, you all see twice of it in Abiriba except for financial institution likes bank.. Ohafia has good government presence because of its status as the Local Government Headquarters of the Local Government Area... Abiriba has a better taste for Architecture, Has more more better road. Ohafia doesn't have that, Abiriba is much better planned too...
The truth has been laid bare. The only reason Abiriba is lagging behind road network is because 90% of roads in Abiriba were built by communal effort. We started early with hustling, the first importers before and after the war ended included Abiribans. We also started migrating abroad when other regions were still travelling to their cities. Abiribans simply love investing back home

Make sure you tour Abiriba very well go to ogozi ,many places its a small london ,those people build their roads themselves schools and hospitals am sure that the hospital in osumanyi can't beat abiriba general hospital build by the community
It might be difficult to differentiate between a village, a town and a city in Igbo land. Eg what we know as Onitsha is made up of Nkpor, Oboso, Oba, Ogidi, and so on. This are villages, towns or cities depending on the person defining it.
I will suggest you visit Abba in nwagele local government in IMO state, I think Abba should be on this conversation or even edge them in good mansions and road network, I have been to osumenyi and abiriba, and I have been to Abba too so I'm talking of experience

You have to consider other infrastructures like hospitals, schools, markets, malls, recreational centers, etc. In addition, pipeborn water, electricity, and planned environment. Abiriba is very scarcely populated when compared to towns in Anambra, for example. This is why you see estates with excess land. They also have acres of undeveloped communal lands. They must start early establishing town and city planning. However, I like their homes, even though personally I am not into massive mansions.

Places in other parts of Nigeria with similar population sizes like Abaji, Otukpa, Gbongan, Kwale, Ikom etc. OR even with *far smaller* population sizes like Ajaokuta, Omu-Aran, Iperu, Mokwa, Obunagha, Tambawal etc. are not regarded as "villages". A village is somewhere I would find less than 5,000 (if not even 2,000) people. Part of the essential qualities of villages is that: they are places where everyone knows everyone. You don't get that in places with over 60,000 people.
