    Between Abiriba and Osumenyi, Abiriba wins hands down. I previously argued that Abiriba was the most beautiful villa in Nigeria...that was until i watched a TH-cam clip of Ohafia few days ago. Abiriba has more beautiful and exquisite mansions than Ohafia, but Ohafia has that je ne sais quoi....that special something that makes it come tops. It's more serene, calm, unhurried, has more of that village feelling, is more environmetally clean and green, yet still has some nice mansions to top it all up.

    • @outravelandtour
      @outravelandtour  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Ohafia is a much larger community than Abiriba, But those town can not be compared, Everything you see in Ohafia, you all see twice of it in Abiriba except for financial institution likes bank.. Ohafia has good government presence because of its status as the Local Government Headquarters of the Local Government Area... Abiriba has a better taste for Architecture, Has more more better road. Ohafia doesn't have that, Abiriba is much better planned too...

    The truth has been laid bare. The only reason Abiriba is lagging behind road network is because 90% of roads in Abiriba were built by communal effort. We started early with hustling, the first importers before and after the war ended included Abiribans. We also started migrating abroad when other regions were still travelling to their cities. Abiribans simply love investing back home

    To me, I give it to Abiriba, no doubt, check out the topography with the hills this people still find suitable architecture for every site, then talking about number of expensive mansions,Abiriba still stand top I will just give them 70/30. If Abia state government can give the same attention Giving by Anambra state government in terms of road construction which is the responsibility of every government then u will see that this comparison will definitely be baseless because Abiriba has more planned areas. Abiriba is the most beautiful village in Nigeria not just in the East.

    Abiriba homes are truly majestic. However, I caution all Igbos to stop describing the building of palatial homes development. You have to consider other infrastructures like hospitals, schools, markets, malls, recreational centers, etc. In addition, pipeborn water, electricity, and planned environment.
    Abiriba is very scarcely populated when compared to towns in Anambra, for example. This is why you see estates with excess land. They also have acres of undeveloped communal lands. They must start early establishing town and city planning. However, I like their homes, even though personally I am not into massive mansions.

Also with the other developments of the city, such as schools, market squares, corridors, etc., they are being built by the people

    This demonstration really does not fly, to be frank.
    Yes, indeed they look beautiful, but they are not villages.
    Osumenyi is a SUBURB of Nnewi. It is really part of its metropolis. Far more than even Lugbe is part of Abuja city metropolis.
    Ogbunike is also a suburb of Onitsha.
    Abiriba, Arochukwu and Ohafia have over 60,000 inhabitants. Those are TOWNS, not villages.
    Places in other parts of Nigeria with similar population sizes like Abaji, Otukpa, Gbongan, Kwale, Ikom etc. OR even with *far smaller* population sizes like Ajaokuta, Omu-Aran, Iperu, Mokwa, Obunagha, Tambawal etc. are not regarded as "villages".
    A village is somewhere I would find less than 5,000 (if not even 2,000) people. Part of the essential qualities of villages is that: they are places where everyone knows everyone. You don't get that in places with over 60,000 people.
