    Thank you Teresa. You are a very good piano teacher. You are very detail-oriented in your technique. The horizontal weight transfer without a drop-off makes a quite difference.

    This is excellent -- pretty much the whole reason God invented the Internet, I think. One thing that I never see mentioned much is the time factor required for our bodies to learn new patterns -- if the body could change instantly, or with just a few repetitions, then we would have no constancy or continuity of selfhood. So you have to apply the right kind of pressure for a long enough period of time that the brain and body, synapses and muscles, will eventually morph to conform. It goes from being strange and uncomfortable to entirely natural and automatic, but only through the course of weeks, months, and years. So much of what feels completely natural we learned as children, when we were unconscious of our progress, or how the time was passing.
