What do you mean? Your main damage comes from your q "autos", consistent physical damage. Why wouldn't you buy armor pen? because your passive auto, your e and ult burst damage are magic? Plus, if you buy collector because of its passive that is not a good reason to buy that item. You buy it because it's a cheap first item with good raw ad, lethality and crit. The passive is a bonus and might as well not exist because the number of times when people proc it is legit so low.
1 Most of zeris magic damage is passively applied, almost every active damage you can do outside of E pass through is physical damage. Her Q/W make up most of her damage (75-85%) so LDR is still an amazing item to get even if just for their base mr. Go into a practice tool and test out some builds vs dummies with armour and you’ll see how drastic the difference is. Besides she needs the crit and how many real not dogshit crit item options are there.

Even on zeri becasue she does so well with crit, the ad and crit alone make it a good first spike purchase. There is only 10 lethality on the item meaning the ad/crit is the most.
