Rammstein is like good wine the older they get, the better. "Zeit", "Lügen" and "Angst" from their last album are absolute masterpieces, you can't go wrong with any Rammstein song.
When Rammstein has a concert in Europe, there are 70 trucks carrying their equipment, the routes of the planes are diverted from that area, and the sound can be heard from a few kilometers. Till is completely dedicated to his music and if you see blood in the concert, it is usually real blood. His "sweat" is actually thermal protection because the heat from the flames is so great that he would have burns if he were not protected. Even the spectators who sit in the first 2-3 rows feel the warmth released by the flames. Flake, the one on the keyboard, asked at one point to have a treadmill during the concert so that he could consume his extra energy. Since then, he uses it in almost all concerts. The visual effects on the keyboard are added later to the post-editing but there were moments, including in this concert in which they used Tesla coils for effects, and those are really real. Anyway, a Rammstein concert is an event that will remain in your memory for the rest of your life.

They have just started their north American concert tour and it looks amazing.nice reaction guys 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🇳🇿🥝
Exactly, any concert footage on a DVD or sales as a live performance, there is editing no matter what. The editing goes with the performance, this wasn't on a one take concert, It's blended and edited but the results, wonderful!
This song is kind of a play on words. In German „Du hast“ (you have) is pronounced the same as „Du hasst“ (you hate). And this play on words really fits here, because both of them would fit well here. The song goes like this: „Du hast mich gefragt, du hast mich gefragt, du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt“ (You have asked me, you have asked me, you have asked me and I said nothing) „Willst du bis der Tod uns scheidet, treu ihr sein für alle Tage“ (Will you be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) (Female background voice: Yes / Singer: No!) „Willst du bis zum Tod der scheide, sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen? (Will you love until death do you part, even on bad days?) (Female background voice: Yes / Singer: No!) It’s hard to explain but I think the English translation describes best, why the play on words fits well here. Greetings from Germany.
They are all 50+ now, the singer is even close to 60 and they still rule on the stage. They are formed in 1994 and never changed their line up. Btw, this song is one of my least favourute Rammstein songs, but it is probably the most famous and the live performance of it is always crazy. I think you should watch both live performances and official videos. There are songs which are better if you listen to their studio versons, some are better live... I recommend "Ich tu dir weh" live from Medison Square Garden next. Or official video for "Zeit" (with lyrics!) Greetings from Serbia!
I don't know how old these guys are, but I think around 60. I mean, ... I am getting older, too! Frist time I saw Rammstein live was back in the year 1995! That's 27 years ago ... *omg!!! I am not getting old, I am already old! *lol
Oh I love new Du Hast Paris reactions! Every. Single. One...stops a few seconds in and asks, "is that dude on a treadmill?!" Yes, keyboardist, Flake (pronounced FLAW-KAWH) began using it so that he didn't look awkward on stage between his parts. He can walk up to 17miles per show! Rammstein members are mid to late 50s. The song's refrain, "du Hast mich" is you hate me. Although there's always duality in the lyrics. The band has some epic original videos...which ppl will tell you specifically to watch. Otherwise, this is one of the best live bands in the world! Known for insane pyrotechnic stunts and props, they are best viewed live! To see a taste of amazing live show...check out Engel live at Madison Square Garden. Wolf, drummer Christophe Schneider plays a custom DW Jazz Series kit with.mixed symbols, that gives the band a signature sound. He's an absolute beast...and showy, too!
Thank you Amy! Great drums and the tuning is amazing and tight. I love talking about gear btw!! Drives Suesue crazy sometimes😄 mainly because I have a problem!! If I see something unique that I don’t own I must have it !!!!
@@jeffhoffman8370 Collecting is a great hobby as long as you don't break the bank! I've known Christophe since b4 I knew he was in a band! His sound developed over the years...but adding that DW Jazz kit was genius! Till Lindemann, the singer, was a drummer in another band b4 Rammstein. I have more friends who are drummers than is normal, so I geek out at drum cam videos!
It used to be that I would spend a Norma’s amount of money on keyboards when in reality I had everything I needed in just a couple :-) now the issue is instruments that are so unique and I don’t on them. For example I want a Hurdy Gurdy, I didgeridoo and some bagpipes :-)
The Paris concert was filmed with 70 professional film cameras and Jonas Akerlund, a professional director made the film. He added the lightnings on the keyboard, which I do not like.
I remember when this song was released and first played on the Atlanta rock stations in the late '80s. I was in high school. I could never find it on cassette anywhere. Apparently no one had an appreciation for it and soon I didn't hear it anymore. It's a damn shame, really. I just wished their North American tour had a stop in ATL.
I just saw some footage from Rammsteins outdoor gig in Tallin Estonia and their pyrotechnics were shooting flames about 50ft long towards the sky. And another footage from far away behind a forest where you could still see the tips of the flames and huge black smoke. :D
Wrong. Oli, the bassist is the youngest. Born in 1971. Second youngest is Richard, born in 1967, than Schneider and Flake, both 1966, than there is Paul, born 1964 and Till who was born on 4rth of January 1993. So, who is the youngest?
@@jeffhoffman8370Till will be 60 next year, I've never heard the other birth years for them. Have to investigate. The band was founded in -94, the first album was "Herzeleid" -95. My first Rammstein album was "Mutter" (2001) which the title track would do nice for reaction, i think.(added: "Sonne" is something to consider too)
The vocalist, Till Lindemann are 59 years old and trained pyrotechnician. I think their bodies are covered with non flamable gel on stage considering all the fire 🔥
Hi! They were born and raised in East Germany, and I believe one of the guitarist - Richard Kruspe - escaped to the West. I don't know how old exactly they are but surely not under 30 although probably 50+ will be closer. Some parts of the video were edited, like this electric stuff going from the fingers were added. They sing "du hast mich" and yes, it mean "you have me" but if written "hasst" it would mean "you hate me" - it's pronounced the same. I think I read somewhere that they wanted to leave it open for interpretation. Besides, the rest of the lyrics is basically a marital oath, asking if one will remain loyal until death, followed with shouted "nein" (no). So it can be either "you have me" or "you hate me". Take care! :)
Hi Maciak!! Some others mentioned they were some of them mid to late 50’s!! Gives me hope that I might have a larger music career at 60!! I write a lot of instrumentals and have small opportunities to score Indy films No illusions of playing live but maybe I can keep rocking a little longer 🤘
"Du hast mich" is an unfinished sentence and as such it has no rational meaning (= "You have me") but which he then - after repeating it several times - will finish into "Du hast mich gefragt" meaning "You have asked me"..BUT those 3 words "Du hast mich" sound phonetically exactly as like as saying "Du hasst mich" which means "You hate me"...so he is actually tricking the listener until he reveals the whole sentence. The whole stanza is basically consisting out of 2 short and simple sentences: "You have asked me" "But I didn´t say anything" (= actual meaning in that context "I didn´t respond") but the first sentence is disservered presented... like literally: You You have You have me (= till to this stage it got repeated several times) You have me asked (= German syntax for "You have asked me" and also got repeated ) But I didn´t say anything And the chorus is then the old traditional German ecclesial marriage vow which at the marriage ceremony the priest is asking the couple right before he declares them to be married: "Do you want to be loyal for all days till death will tear you both apart" (But instead of answering the expected "Yes" he says fully emphisized "No") - "NO" "Do you want to love her for all days till death will tear you both apart" - "NO" And that are the whole lyrics literally translated. The chorus reveals why he is the listener making believe that he allegedly said "You hate me" although he actually didn´t say it because he responded to the 2 questions of the marriage vow fervently with "No" instead of saying devotedly "Yes" which means he is actually busting the marriage ceremony in front of the wedding altar...because according to the stanza it very likely seemed to be that he got dragged into the wedding by his girl friend and in front of the wedding altar he then pulled the ripcord by saying "No".
Welcome to the world of Rammstein, check out Mein Herz Brennt, Links 2 3 4, Mutter, Sonne. There's loads to choose from. Definitely check out Zeit which means Time beautiful song and video. Loved the reaction. Rammstein never let's you down the guys are crazy and funny at same time. Zick Zack and Dicke Titten are funny typical Rammstein.

The concerts from Ramstein are all sold out in Europe ❤Hugh's for the dog
Rammstein does both phenomenally - video clips and live productions. I would recommend the video clips: Zeit, Angst, Radio, Sonne, Ausländer, Keine Lust, Ich will, Mein Herz brennt (normal Version and Piano Version), America. And I would recommend the live recordings of: Engel und Benzin im Madison Square Garden. By the way (you asked), I listen to completely different things otherwise: Yes, Gentle Giant, Kansas, Rush, Echolyn, King Crimson, Steven Wilson, David Sylvian, Kate Bush ... But I think no band is as sophisticated and artistic in visuals as Rammstein. Best Videos! I would take the latest video clips with statement next: "Zeit" and "Angst". Both realized by the same film director and both fantastic.
@@steffenschulle1094 Which version? Which version? It's always good to know, because they are different in sound. These are just my favorites. But live there are a few more and certainly the shows in Paris and Madison Square Garden are the best visualized. But also Hurricane or "Sun" in a giant stadium with bad video sound can make sense. Musicians can classify that. Even "Bück dich ..." live in Montreal (a fan edit) is at least very funny because of the special stage performance - and is part of Rammstein's history.
@@steffenschulle1094 Yes, that's where it's best visualized. But I like the song less than those mentioned. Is harmonically too simple for me without having great harmonies. A matter of taste.
The hottest band in the world in the truest sense of the word. Live an absolute experience. Every fan gets very warm at the concerts. If you want to keep laughing, then take a look at Rammstein - Mein Teil (live with English subtitles). th-cam.com/video/JVzQ406ikpQ/w-d-xo.html
Therfore Rammstein is the best live band by far you can watch these days. Kiss are poor preschoolars compared to Rammstein. Rammstein concerts are a lifetime experience. Rammstein members are between 50 and 60 years old, living legends in the same line up for nearly 30 years. Rammstein Videos are Art, Rammstein Lyrics are art but famous is Rammstein because of there live shows with the heavy usage of fire and pyro and this quite differently than all the other bands. You should watch and react to both videos and liveshows and you will never regret. Rammstein is a mixture of Metall and Techno (=electronic music) with the origin in Punk. Rammstein deliberately keeps their music simple in order to create melodies that stick in your head forever. That's why almost all Rammstein songs are sung by the fans at their concerts, either in whole or in part
Rammstein can do both.😁 The concerts are amazing (and literally hot!) and so are the videos. Tips for both: "Ich tu dir weh" live, "Engel" live "Sonne" and "Mutter" are great videos.
They always have deep and intrueging lyrics, in a kind of a sordid sad way, to sing. Always makes me a bit sad. I mean "Du hast mich" ( You Hate Me,( I guess ) isn't just "my dingaling", exactly... Anyway, keep up your fine channel. I like you two a lot! Greetings from Jonas, Gothenburg Sweden.
Wunderbar! I speak no German, but what I have been told is that “Du Hast Me” means “you hate me”. However, “Du haste me”, is pronounced the same and means “you have me.” So this song is kind of a play on words that gets lost in translation. Gunter can probably explain better. Till Lindemann, lead singer is 59. Band formed in 1994. They have 8 studio albums and 3 live albums. They released a new song recently, Dicke Titten, a rather humorous tune, you should check out. th-cam.com/video/MxGyKXikQiE/w-d-xo.html

He is a former DDR youth 1500m olympic swimmer i red somewhere. They have been performing since the early nineties. I guess that's a bit late concerning their age. I guess it has something to do with the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989?
Rammstein was formed in 1994 but all band members have played in various mainly punk bands since the early 80's. Till Lindemann was mainly behind the drums before he became a front man in Rammstein.
Although the German phrase does not translate to English, "Du hast" can mean "you have," but it can also mean "you hate." Therefore the song has two meanings. One being sort of "You hate me but still want to marry me" (the song is about marriage) and the other being "You want to marry me but I don't want to." The whole song is a play on German wedding vows (Wollen Sie einander lieben und achten und die Treue halten bis dass der Tod euch scheidet? - Do you want to love and respect each other and to remain faithful, until death separates you?). Instead of answering with "Ja," Till says "Nein," finally answering the question he said nothing to in the beginning. >>
The Nightwish drummer Kai Hahto are also playing in another band called Wintersun. If you looking for something supertechnical I suggest you check out Wintersun, for exemple their song "Time" in their Live studiorehearsal.
The Keyboardist admits he gets bored on stage, and loses his tempo, so he uses the treamill to work out during the concert, and he can use treadmill to keep his tempo.

In general, it's a good thing to watch their videos with English caps (or official translations if available). Lyrics are quite important and give you whole another level of experience. Rammstein can be provocative, melancholic, gross, horrific, and funny. But always extremely creative :)

They started the band in 1995, as for their age, i think they are all born around the early 70's

Considering they are 50's, they are still rocking soo good 🔥🤟 Love Rammstein
Hey, love you guys, - these guys are our age :) , and please keep being you, lots of love from Scotland :)
I love both, I love this band regardless they just put so much effort into their work and I am very priative of it. I live in New Zealand and have seen them twice in concert and will never forget it.if you ever get a chance to see them in concert just do it . They have just started their north American concert tour and it looks amazing.nice reaction guys 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🇳🇿🥝
Did you see them in New Zealand?
Exactly, any concert footage on a DVD or sales as a live performance, there is editing no matter what. The editing goes with the performance, this wasn't on a one take concert, It's blended and edited but the results, wonderful!
Great video, great react.. but hey, love your puppy 🤗 so lovely 😁 tx as always
Biggest band on mother earth. They sell out 100k in minutes everywhere they go.
this is a concert! I'm sure that those present will never forget it.
I was last year in vienna on their concert. I am nearly 50 and I never saw anything like that and the expierence is awesome
Or official video for "Zeit" (with lyrics!)
Greetings from Serbia!

After Nightwish (my fav, all know🤗). Now Rammstein. Amazing greetings from nothern Germany.
Ja they represent well..
Awesome guys thank you 🙏
I recommend the song "Rammlied" live in Madison Square Garden
Yes!!! One of my favourite performances for sure
Whopper of a song, very gut..
Putting it on our ever expanding list!! Thanks Shane
Im just here for the "Is he on a tradmill ?"

I just saw some footage from Rammsteins outdoor gig in Tallin Estonia and their pyrotechnics were shooting flames about 50ft long towards the sky. And another footage from far away behind a forest where you could still see the tips of the flames and huge black smoke. :D
You can not imagine the power you feel if you are Imbiss crowd. By the way nice dog that you have
thank you ! and man do I wish we were there!
Till is getting 60 this January! And Schneider, the drummer, is youngest among them - he's... 55 😆
Wow!!
Wrong. Oli, the bassist is the youngest. Born in 1971. Second youngest is Richard, born in 1967, than Schneider and Flake, both 1966, than there is Paul, born 1964 and Till who was born on 4rth of January 1993. So, who is the youngest?
💓Really nice to do the paris live version🤘🤘. Allways nice to see you..
And good to hear from you Ridge!!!
@@jeffhoffman8370Till will be 60 next year, I've never heard the other birth years for them. Have to investigate. The band was founded in -94, the first album was "Herzeleid" -95. My first Rammstein album was "Mutter" (2001) which the title track would do nice for reaction, i think.(added: "Sonne" is something to consider too)
RAMMSTEIN best band in the world
I've never heard of them til I saw them in Philly during the first year of the Family Values Tour in 98.
I write a lot of instrumentals and have small opportunities to score Indy films
No illusions of playing live but maybe I can keep rocking a little longer 🤘
"Du hast mich" is an unfinished sentence and as such it has no rational meaning (= "You have me") but which he then - after repeating it several times - will finish into "Du hast mich gefragt" meaning "You have asked me"..BUT those 3 words "Du hast mich" sound phonetically exactly as like as saying "Du hasst mich" which means "You hate me"...so he is actually tricking the listener until he reveals the whole sentence.
The whole stanza is basically consisting out of 2 short and simple sentences:
"You have asked me"
"But I didn´t say anything" (= actual meaning in that context "I didn´t respond")
but the first sentence is disservered presented... like literally:
You
You have
You have me (= till to this stage it got repeated several times)
You have me asked (= German syntax for "You have asked me" and also got repeated )
But I didn´t say anything
And the chorus is then the old traditional German ecclesial marriage vow which at the marriage ceremony the priest is asking the couple right before he declares them to be married:
"Do you want to be loyal for all days till death will tear you both apart" (But instead of answering the expected "Yes" he says fully emphisized "No") - "NO"
"Do you want to love her for all days till death will tear you both apart" - "NO"
And that are the whole lyrics literally translated.
The chorus reveals why he is the listener making believe that he allegedly said "You hate me" although he actually didn´t say it because he responded to the 2 questions of the marriage vow fervently with "No" instead of saying devotedly "Yes" which means he is actually busting the marriage ceremony in front of the wedding altar...because according to the stanza it very likely seemed to be that he got dragged into the wedding by his girl friend and in front of the wedding altar he then pulled the ripcord by saying "No".
thx greets from germany
Wie Gehts?

Welcome to the world of Rammstein, check out Mein Herz Brennt, Links 2 3 4, Mutter, Sonne. There's loads to choose from. Definitely check out Zeit which means Time beautiful song and video. Loved the reaction. Rammstein never let's you down the guys are crazy and funny at same time. Zick Zack and Dicke Titten are funny typical Rammstein.
Today I watched your video. And how sweet you are. I'm fine (you asked how are you)
Till the leadsinger is born January 1963 the others are the same age all born in the early 60tees..like to watch you both. Wish you stay healthy. The concerts from Ramstein are all sold out in Europe ❤Hugh's for the dog
Rammstein does both phenomenally - video clips and live productions.
I would recommend the video clips:
Zeit, Angst, Radio, Sonne, Ausländer, Keine Lust, Ich will, Mein Herz brennt (normal Version and Piano Version), America.
And I would recommend the live recordings of:
Engel und Benzin im Madison Square Garden.
By the way (you asked), I listen to completely different things otherwise:
Yes, Gentle Giant, Kansas, Rush, Echolyn, King Crimson, Steven Wilson, David Sylvian, Kate Bush ...
But I think no band is as sophisticated and artistic in visuals as Rammstein. Best Videos!
I would take the latest video clips with statement next:
"Zeit" and "Angst". Both realized by the same film director and both fantastic.
Willst du das Bett in Flammen sehn?
@@steffenschulle1094 Which version? Which version? It's always good to know, because they are different in sound. These are just my favorites. But live there are a few more and certainly the shows in Paris and Madison Square Garden are the best visualized. But also Hurricane or "Sun" in a giant stadium with bad video sound can make sense. Musicians can classify that. Even "Bück dich ..." live in Montreal (a fan edit) is at least very funny because of the special stage performance - and is part of Rammstein's history.

Done !
The guys from RAMMSTEIN are all between 50-60, just like me. ;-)
That’s amazing!! Thanks AP
Rammstein can do both.😁
The concerts are amazing (and literally hot!) and so are the videos.
Tips for both:
"Ich tu dir weh" live, "Engel" live
"Sonne" and "Mutter" are great videos.
You Welcome
danke sehr gut und selber 🥰😘
Vielen Dank, dass Sie die Ukraine vertreten

Rammstein always live. There are video's from them performing in the USA they are spectacular. Just search for Rammstein America! The singer Till Lindeman is a year younger then i am namely 59.
He was not an Olympic Swimmer!
@@TrailerTracker He was short listed for the 1980 Olympics
Although the German phrase does not translate to English, "Du hast" can mean "you have," but it can also mean "you hate." Therefore the song has two meanings. One being sort of "You hate me but still want to marry me" (the song is about marriage) and the other being "You want to marry me but I don't want to."
The whole song is a play on German wedding vows (Wollen Sie einander lieben und achten und die Treue halten bis dass der Tod euch scheidet? - Do you want to love and respect each other and to remain faithful, until death separates you?). Instead of answering with "Ja," Till says "Nein," finally answering the question he said nothing to in the beginning. >>
