❤ please can you let me know what stitch length , width and tension for stitching quilting squares together (not the quilting part) ?? The fabric is cotton but a cheap thin cotton. Do I also use a thin needle ?
What about the width setting for a 00 straight stitch? I can’t find an answer anywhere. Why did you skip the width setting for the straight stitch? Please help:)
Hey Kirstie, I’m not sure what you mean by a ‘00 stitch length’ as that would mean there is no stitch length. However, on a normal standard straight stitch (which would be 2.5mm), we have no need to adjust the stitch width because that moves the needle from side to side (left to right) and determines the width of, say, a zig zag. If we’re only stitching in a straight line, we don’t need to move the stitch width distance at all. Does that help? If it doesn’t, please ask for anything you need clarified ☺️ x
Thank you so much for explaining this, as a beginner, it gives me a good understanding on how to use the width and length knobs on stitching,
You are so welcome; glad I could help 😊
As always you explain it so clearly
Thank you so much Deborah 😌 Kim x
Your videos are amazing and so informative! Do you have one on tension?
Aww thank you so much 🙏🥰 I haven’t got one on tension yet (mainly ‘cos I’m not long back off holiday) but it’s definitely on the upcoming list 😎 Kim x
Thank you for explaining this. It would seem my machine will not enable me to reduce my stitch width. Looking like I need a new machine. Yippee.
😂😂 I love that 😁❤️ Anything I can do to help with a reason to get a new machine 😁😎 Kim x
You are hilarious 😊Love when you get tickled with your lack of drawing skills.
😂😂😂 I genuinely have zero drawing skills…although I can knock out a good stick man 🤣
