Still work out to this song these guys got my through my middle school, junior high high school and my adult life I saw them at the Aztec theater in SA Texas in 2018 and it was absolutely amazing to see Kyle and Dave. We've planted a seed, an ever growing wonder to a beautiful tree. Grow. Each branch outstretched and different from the last. Where the old have broken, some easier than the last. The right ones have grown in to fill in the gaps. And all are equal in love and trust. And all are a part of something so much bigger than this. Through the trials our tongues are tied, to trying times, so many unsaid lines. Our lives were over at so many moments, so many. And now they're all just beginning. I have never been so consumed and I have never loved it more. To be devoted to letting all see what it is to live in the love of others. To live in the love of my brothers. And spilling back all that anyone has ever spilled for me. To show that to those who have never seen. Four years ago we planted a seed. Found that foundation that we need. Strived for the perfect balance, to show love and show compassion. And our vision for this world will not die when we are dead. My future started with the first note I ever played. The first note that was ever sang. When we started living with purpose and writing with meaning This is what we were made for. Every day I live this future.
I remember first listening to this song when I was like 13 by the side of my house right before walking to the bus stop in the morning. I remember it so vividly and knew at that very moment that this was more than just a good song, that this band wanna gonna help me get through what I was going through, and it did. RIP Kyle. I’m so thankful I was able to meet you.
This era is probably gonna be with me for the rest of my life. I remember being a sophomore and thinking how I'm gonna listen to this genre for the rest of my life :)
I was merely a teen when this came out. Damn who would've thought it would have such an impact. After 11 or more years I still come back to listen the songs that helped me grow and have fun back then. Really lucky to have been able to see this genre rule the scene back in the days. 🖤
Funny, I'm a sophomore right now and can't see this gene going anywhere for me. Thus was the first song I've heard from them, I think cold like ear is NY favorite album so far
I'm bawling my eyes out I miss you Kyle. His lyrics are perfect. He was a special person that was gone too soon. I'm just happy I got one chance to see him perform in person. He truly is missed.🖤♥️
This song saved my life no lie I was in a bad spot with drugs an a friend of mine turned me to WCAR and It stopped me in my tracks this song especially.. RIP Kyle Pavone 💚
This band pioneered the way I dress and even act today, first metal band that got me into this kind of music, and the end still has that goosebump effect
The kinda lowkey cool thing about this song, is that this was literally the first song on their first album & with him saying ‘my future started with the first note that I ever played/sang’ since then. They grew into a band many people knew/know. & it’s something they already predicted 0.0
Everybody needs to chill with this whole "WCAR was Good back then" and "I remember when they were this good". Old WCAR and new WCAR are both amazing!!♥
Being a Christian myself I just thought it was cool that there was a hardcore band that had Christian members along with non-Christian members. I think it really conveys a message of brotherhood and unconditional love, and that really shows in their lyrics. Lots of people have this image of Christians being intolerant of anyone who doesn't share their beliefs, but this band time and again proves them wrong. And that's a big part of their message, love everyone no matter the differences.
“The first note that was ever sang” First song I fell in love with by this band and have been listening to ever since. Bought Cold Like War the same day, right before I read that Kyle Pavone passed. RIP Kyle. You were a fantastic musician and I’m sure a great person. Wish I would’ve had a chance to meet one of my favorite vocalists.
I honestly haven’t even listened to them in a while. I remember when this album came out I was so excited I had found my favorite band. I feel so fortunate to have been able to see them all together so many times live. They influenced many with their lyrics, one of them being me. I am so heart broken by the passing of Kyle. Rest easy Kyle 💔
This song and so many others of them were and are the cure when the weight of the world seems to pull me down again and again. Everytime those feelings of being alone and not belonging to to this sick world start to make me suffer, I put in my earphones and start walking, just watching nature, roads, dogs, whatever comes my way. Bands like WCAR save my life and so many others and will always do. Thank you guys so fucking much. The harmony between the voices of Kyle and Dave was so unique and stunning. Stay strong, keep your heads high, never lose hope. When there seem to be no reasons left to keep on living, the feeling of connection between people listening to Bands like WCAR and struggeling with problems of all kind, like Depression, Bullying, violence and so on always keeps me going. Even if we dont know each other, we are able to give each other hope. Thats what I believe. Rest in Peace Kyle. And peace to all of you guys out there.
