Did you guys noticed the size of Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bacchan)? He is portrayed as a very huge person, because it's said that the people from Mahabharat were taller than today's human. Average height of people was 7-8 feet, and Ashwatthama was almost 10 feet tall according to some sources.
Just 5 seconds appearance is enough to steal the limelight of the whole trailer. Universal Hero for a reason. Kamal will be the highlight of the movie. He wouldn't simply agree to do an antagonist role just for money. His performance will be the highlight of the movie.

I think there will be more than 1 part of the movie as I think prabhas is not Kalki, as He is still in the womb of deepika so as per my idea the 1st part will be all about being born and protecting the unborn child and then there will be more part of it
Here's the crux of the story 1. Ashwathama(Amitabh): At the end of Dwapara Yug(one Yug/era out of 4) Krishna tells him that he will incarnate again as Kalki in Kalyuga(which is our current era) when evil is taken over the world and people are suffering which is depicted all over in the movie. Ashwathama keeps waiting for that day. The moment he sees Deepika, he immediately understands that the child in her belly is the Kalki. His role is to protect her and the child under any cost which is why he tells Deepika that he will protect her. 2.The world: As per Hindu history Kaashi is the first city that came into existence and will be the last before the new era(SatyaYug) begins, which is why everything is centred around that place. That inverted pyramid as per trailer looks like a place where all resources have been stored, and it also looks like its terraforming the earth, meaning those people could be from another planet taking over Earth(or maybe not). The people living outside it are struggling for everything like food and water and everyone is eyeing to get into it but are powerless. So to bring back justice to the world Kalki coming into this wold is important . 3.Prabhas: He's not Kalki(who will ultimately fight with Kaali) as it seems like in the trailer. He is a bounty hunter who's dreaming of getting into that pyramid by collecting 1M units(which is sort of entry fees) somehow. It also seems like Kaal(Kamal Hassan) knows that the child in Deepika's womb is Kalki and is trying to do something with her(like stopping birth or taking control over it or something else) which is why a huge bounty has been declared on her. For Bhairava, this is a golden chance, so he jumps on to capture her and submit her to the army. As Ashwathama is protecting her, both will see a huge fight which you see at the end. Something happens at the end of the fight btw two. There could be three scenarios for Prabhas here. a. He himself is the Kalki but isn't aware of his purpose in the world so he is serving as a mere bounty hunter until he meets Deepika and Ashwathama which may help him remember who he is at the end of the fight. Deepika's pregnancy could just be a distraction for the audience. b. He is a part of Lord Shiva. As per Hindu history, whenever Lord Vishnu has incarnated to serve justice, Lord Shiva(not an incarnation but a part of him) also came into Earth in some form to help him accomplish the task. For example, in Ramayana, it was Hanuman. So Bhairava(which in Sanskrit is also a name of Lord Shiva) is Lord Shiva who is there bcz he needs to help Kalki who will be born later through Deepika to defeat evil. He just doesn't know this. So after fighting with Ashwathama, he may realize that and join hands with Ashwathama to protect Deepika and her child. If this is true we will see more people(meaning more movies) of different entities like Parashuram, Vibhishana, Hanuman, Kripacharya, Vyasa etc(who are supposed to be present in Kalyug just like Ashwathama waiting like him for Kalki) until Kalki is born and grown into adult after which an epic battle will take place between Kaal and Kalki. Bhairav as Lord Shiva will fulfill his destiny by helping Kalki in this case. c. Again same as scenario a but in this case the possibility is he time travelled to the time when his mother was pregnant for whatsoever reason. But due to time dilation or whatever something must have happened and he might have forgotten who he is but he may recall it when something happens in next part of the movie which is another story about someone like Hanuman or Parashuram or King Mahabali or whoever supposed to help Kalki

Here's the crux of the story
1. Ashwathama(Amitabh): At the end of Dwapara Yug(one Yug/era out of 4) Krishna tells him that he will incarnate again as Kalki in Kalyuga(which is our current era) when evil is taken over the world and people are suffering which is depicted all over in the movie. Ashwathama keeps waiting for that day. The moment he sees Deepika, he immediately understands that the child in her belly is the Kalki. His role is to protect her and the child under any cost which is why he tells Deepika that he will protect her.
2.The world: As per Hindu history Kaashi is the first city that came into existence and will be the last before the new era(SatyaYug) begins, which is why everything is centred around that place. That inverted pyramid as per trailer looks like a place where all resources have been stored, and it also looks like its terraforming the earth, meaning those people could be from another planet taking over Earth(or maybe not). The people living outside it are struggling for everything like food and water and everyone is eyeing to get into it but are powerless. So to bring back justice to the world Kalki coming into this wold is important .
3.Prabhas: He's not Kalki(who will ultimately fight with Kaali) as it seems like in the trailer. He is a bounty hunter who's dreaming of getting into that pyramid by collecting 1M units(which is sort of entry fees) somehow. It also seems like Kaal(Kamal Hassan) knows that the child in Deepika's womb is Kalki and is trying to do something with her(like stopping birth or taking control over it or something else) which is why a huge bounty has been declared on her. For Bhairava, this is a golden chance, so he jumps on to capture her and submit her to the army. As Ashwathama is protecting her, both will see a huge fight which you see at the end. Something happens at the end of the fight btw two.
There could be three scenarios for Prabhas here.
a. He himself is the Kalki but isn't aware of his purpose in the world so he is serving as a mere bounty hunter until he meets Deepika and Ashwathama which may help him remember who he is at the end of the fight. Deepika's pregnancy could just be a distraction for the audience.
b. He is a part of Lord Shiva. As per Hindu history, whenever Lord Vishnu has incarnated to serve justice, Lord Shiva(not an incarnation but a part of him) also came into Earth in some form to help him accomplish the task. For example, in Ramayana, it was Hanuman. So Bhairava(which in Sanskrit is also a name of Lord Shiva) is Lord Shiva who is there bcz he needs to help Kalki who will be born later through Deepika to defeat evil. He just doesn't know this. So after fighting with Ashwathama, he may realize that and join hands with Ashwathama to protect Deepika and her child. If this is true we will see more people(meaning more movies) of different entities like Parashuram, Vibhishana, Hanuman, Kripacharya, Vyasa etc(who are supposed to be present in Kalyug just like Ashwathama waiting like him for Kalki) until Kalki is born and grown into adult after which an epic battle will take place between Kaal and Kalki. Bhairav as Lord Shiva will fulfill his destiny by helping Kalki in this case.
c. Again same as scenario a but in this case the possibility is he time travelled to the time when his mother was pregnant for whatsoever reason. But due to time dilation or whatever something must have happened and he might have forgotten who he is but he may recall it when something happens in next part of the movie which is another story about someone like Hanuman or Parashuram or King Mahabali or whoever supposed to help Kalki

Let me explain why Indian audience is damn eager for this: In Hinduism, there are 4 Yugas (Eras). Satya Yuga (Golden Age) Treta Yuga (Silver Age) Dwapar Yuga (Copper Age) and Kali Yuga (Iron Age). The level of wickedness, badness and misery in world increases in every consecutive Yuga. As years pass, one Yug ends and another begins. Ramayan happened in Treta Yug. Mahabharat happened in Dwapar Yug. Currently we are in the Kali Yug (2024 AD). Now the interesting part, The Yugas aren't linear, they are in a circle like a clock, the end of Kali Yug would begin the Satya Yug. But as Satya Yuga is the holiest of all and Kaliyug the unholiest, the transition of these two Yugas won't be the same as the other pairs. When this happens, the Universe will face an entire wipe out and only the good souls will survive that will carry on the Satya Yuga once again. It is like a circle of life. What begins will end, and the end will bring a new beginning! There are more details of each Yuga, how they were, what were the timelines, how were the humans then, etc.
Now, coming to the movie... You need to know that in these four Yugas, to maintain the balance and prove the victory of goodness vs evil (Dharma vs Adharma), Lord Vishnu, the Proprietor of the Universe incarnates in the mortal world for 10 times, called the 10 Avatars or Dashavatar. Avatar is an Indian word. [Dharma means righteousness and not religion here!]. I won't speak about all the Incarnations in detail here, but you guys must have heard about Shree Ram and Shree Krishn. They were the 7th and 8th Avatars of Lord Vishnu. Depending on necessities, He incarnated with different qualities and forms. In Treta Yug, Shree Ram established Dharma by defeating Ravan and establishing Ram Rajya, the rule of peace. In Dwapar Yug, Shree Krishn defeated Kans to protect his region, and his role in the Great Mahabharat to establish Dharm is known by you. Interestingly, till today, only 9 Avatars have been born and completed their goals. The 10th and last avatar of Lord Vishnu was prophecised to come at the end of Kali Yug to establish Dharm once again and this destruction will start the Satya Yuga once again. The name of this Avatar will be Kalki. Even the birthplace and names of parents are mentioned in the Holy books of Hinduism. This movie is based on the place, where Shambhapur will see the birth of Kalki (in the womb of Deepika). Amitabh Bachchan's character is of Ashwatthama, one of the 8 immortals of the world, who was cursed by Shree Krishn at the end of Mahabharat to be immortal and suffer. He and the other 7 Chiranjeevi (immortals) including Hanuman will pave the way for Kalki to reach his destination to defeat Kali, the demon.
This movie has the backdrop of a very core subject which is close to us Indians and that's why, people will definitely appreciate it.
I'll say a very interesting fact at the last:
1. It is believed that in Satya Yuga, good and evil were in different worlds, Devta (Demigods) in Devlok ans Asuras (demons) in Asurlok...
2. In Treta Yug, good and evil were in same world, Shree Ram and Ravan
3. In Dwapar Yug, good and evil were in the same family, Pandavas and Kauravas.
4. In Kali Yug, good and evil are in the same person, our own thoughts! THIS IS A VERY BIG LESSON I BELIEVE!
