Tq for this.
If the scale of the original map is 1:200,000 and you need to reduce five times of original map, what will be the scale of the new map?how you do it?
If the new map needs to show MORE of the region in reality than the original, then the scale will be 1:1,000,000. If otherwise, it will be 1:40,000.
too comprehensive for my liking. Thank you .God bless you
Great video!
so I'm not sure if i'm confused but, for my equation I have 1 in. : 150 mi and the question was "9 in." so I multiplied 9x150 and it got me 1350. So I took away the 0 and put "1.35 in." as my answer. PLease someone tell me if i'm confused ;-;
3 years later i think you got it right good luck

Given 1:200000 convert to word scale ,how do you work out this?
Wouldn't it be 1cm equals 0.2 km on the map Or 1cm equals 20 000 cm on the map
at 3:51 where did u get 5280 and 12 from?
It's because 1 mile is 5280 feet, and then 1 foot is 12 inches. So, to convert miles to inches, we multiply by both 5280 and by 12.
@@MathMammoth thx :)
Nice mem
How did you get three fourth
What is the difference between the two different scales given here 1:50,000 and 1:100,000
1:50,000_big scale1:100,000_small scale

Its a bit difficult though 😢can u do it a bit more easy and explain
i love youuuuuuuu
where did 5280 come from
There are 5280 feet in one mile.
The first question I don't understand
How long is the distance in reality, juxtaposed to the scale.
Too complicated..n she is just doing, not explaining any figures from where it comes from???
Thank you so much this really help me
