The double Marika's Hammer invasion last video definitely inspired this one.

Marika's hammer is a great tool for invasions, allowing you to cover a great area with holy damage, similar to the St Trina's torch covering a large area dealing both fire and sleep damage
The flame does no damage tho. lol

I never faced you but I feel like I would get hit with that war hammer aoe every time. Also you would probably say “bonk” a lot.

I hate the charges r2 and Ash of War on the Magma scale sword
The magma spells are so rarely used that i too would like to see Chase make it work somehow. Magma Blades magma shower incinerates into a true combo now too.
@@bradleyfitzik2447 I see the glitch cast of catch flame into magma spell pretty often. It looks cool too since you just wave your hand to send out the lava instead of summoning a whole dragon.
But overall it's still a decent spell and the magma curved swords/ erruption aow are great
I like that FromSoft shook things up a bit by making a hammer a final boss weapon. Gwyn, Soul of Cinder, and Gehrman (halfway, at least) all gave you swords. If you want to include DLC, then Fume Knight/Sir Alonne (depending on who you want to count as the "final boss" of Iron King), Burnt Ivory King, and Gael also all gave swords. Hammers, specifically, have always been underappreciated by both the players & FS.
And, yeah, Elden Beast obviously still gives you a sword as an option. I personally would've preferred if it just kept using the hammer, but that's just me. I can't deny that it being made out of Radagon's body is a neat idea, though.

For the DLC I’ve got a quality-faith build I’ll probably take in first.
That way I’ll have access to a variety of any new weapons that I encounter.
What level bracket do you expect Fromsoft to scale the DLC to?
I’m expecting 150-200 just based on the Haligtree, and the fact that it seems to be most popular for pvp.

im guessing the same. by the end of the game, most people who dont limit their leveling end up around 130-160 naturally, so i think they will take that into account. i wouldnt be surprised if its a recommended level of 150.
Yeah i was also debating what level i would try to keep my builds for optimal dlc invasions. I probably wont know until we see how big the dlc is but 150 is probably a safe bet to start with though as it can still invade the players who enjoy 139 and can hit the higher level players who just played regularly through the game
For the DLC, I plan on going in with a fist build and then the first new weapon I find and really like, I am going to rebirth for. Basically like going into a new land unarmed and then just using the weapons I find.

Working on my rl150 ng+7 build with all the weapons unlocked and upgraded to 9/24 (2 copies of each)! Dex for now, but probably gonna go with sleep for dlc, lore reasons =)

when the DLC hits i'm going with a str build with 18 dex and faith 15 or 18. mostly for claymore and banished knights great sword but with a bit of roar and charged attack options and some regen/buffs from faith. my first playthrough was a moonveil (first from soft game ever) all the way, second was daggers and claws with buckler. So i have yet to try the fabled claymore.

Does the Stormhawk axe' "thunderstorm" ash of war scale with FTH or DEX? Lightning scaled with dex, right? But the axes normal attacks scale primarily with strength? The axe doesn't scale at all with faith?

It's pretty fun. I would recommend using Urumi, instead of whip, though. That charged R2 never lets down. I felt like a genius when I discovered Godslayer is still stupid fast for a colossal, but in the off-hand.

I play this build actually...
I am a simple DS3 R1/R2 man. For the DLC, I am going to run a basic STR build. I like to have high health and stamina, and I like to two hand weapons. Going STR will let me focus on just VIT, END, and STR for a clear leveling path.
Will probably go for a light roll weight load for the maneuverability and the baemore for the move set. I just want to do the DLC with a simple, basic build that I start from scratch for that playthrough and run through R1/R2-ing the new bosses while they are still fresh and new, just as our lord Gwyn intended.
Once I do that and learn about the new weapons then I will plan the fancier builds for other playthroughs.

It's a tear for the flask of wondrous physick, called the crimson bubbletear. It heals you when you get low but only once.

Would love someone to explain why his health pops back up when he gets blendered. Only happens when his hp gets dangerously low.

I'll be running an INT build for the DLC cause that might be what the actual weapons scale off of, seeing as sleep may play a part in the DLC.
