- It’s great to be back home on Cape Cod, but we have returned to Provincetown and dust is everywhere from the winter renovations! It will take days to get everything vacuumed, cleaned, and put back together. We'll reward our hard work with visits to two Provincetown institutions - Tea Dance at the Boatslip, and Spiritus Pizza! #provincetown #boatslip #innkeeper #gaycouplevlog #spiritus

Great post....Love Provincetown...you really captured the essence of a magical town.
Thank you! That's one of our goals with this - we want people to feel the love we have for Provincetown in our videos. Glad this episode gave you those Provincetown vibes!
I am so happy that I stumbled upon this! My first love (we were 15 and 16) came out to me a year after we stopped dating. He was so nervous and shaking and I was actually relieved that it wasn’t for another girl lol. This was the early 80s. He used to go to PTown every year. Now I finally got to SEE what Provincetown looks like and can see why he loved it there. Oh and seeing the Tea Dance brought so many great memories back as I used to with him to Tea Dances in Greenwich Village. You two are a stunning looking couple. Enjoy the rest of your summer 😎
Wow! We can FEEL the love for your friend in every word of this beautiful comment! Absolutely beautiful, and thank you for the compliments and watching! XOXO
This episode is a real love letter to Provincetown. I absolutely get it and love the place.
Absolutely. Funny - a family member recently said it was a love letter to Provincetown too! We're glad that comes through, because it is!
LOVE PROVINCETOWN used to spend every summer there. sooooo many great memories
I just found your videos and I love them. You guys are great, and Curt has the best hair!
Thank you so much - and yes he does! He has a love/hate relationship with it though!
Thank you for taking us on your adventure. In my humble opinion the world needs to go to a Tea Dance together🎉🎉🎉
We couldn't agree more!
Outstanding video. You are both endearing…and i wish you luck dealing with all the dust that reappears and drives you nuts. You folks might mention that the shopping is the very best. Many art galleries that show in New York, dynamite clothing of all styles, again from NY I think. I’m from Boston and P town is my favorite. Not a rip off either, except for sales tax.
We will be showing all kinds of things about Provincetown - including the shopping!
So glad i found y'all. So nice to see old haunts. Haven't been in decades but still cherish memories. I just got replacement t-shirts from there. I grew up with my great aunt's paintings she did there every summer in the 30s the first time i went it was amazing to see things i knew only from her paintings. Hope you have a great and happy season. I look forward to seeing your side of experiencing Ptown.😊
Oh my gosh - we are big into art (something we haven't even really gotten into yet in the vlog) and the idea that you have your great aunt's original paintings of Provincetown is very cool! Welcome to the InnDaddies family!
@@inndaddies Thanks her name is Nina Belle Ward. My cousin set a Wikipedia page for her. There is a link towards the bottom to his web page with all her paintings. She studied at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Again have a great season.
Haven't been up there in over twenty years. In my younger days I would make several trip to the Cape each year even if it was for just the weekend. It had a magical feeling to it. Maybe this year? 🤞
It still has that magical feeling!
Just found you two and I am so glad that I did! Your channel makes my heart so happy! Thank you both so much! 🏳🌈🏳🌈
That's so sweet of you!
@@inndaddies ❤
Lived on a fishing dragger out of P-town in 1968 I was 6 years old. Still live mid cape. Love the bead board ceiling
That's amazing! What a great connect to have to Provincetown! Thanks for the compliment on the ceiling - we started it in certain guest rooms to solve a problem, and liked it so much we ended up putting it in a lot of the guesthouse!
Have a great season!
I haven’t been there since 1970. Spent many summers on the Cape. Thanks for this it brings back so many memories.❤
We're so happy about triggering happy memories!
What a beautiful town, the vibe is energetic, lively and yet so peaceful. Those martinis 🍸 🍸looked delicious!! Have an amazing season Papi’s ❤
Thank you so much! We do enjoy our martini's, although we try to keep it to just two! Functioning for guests is a bit of a challenge if we have more!
Dusting the Duraflame logs!!!! 😂 So much dust!
It was worse than it looks!
Just ran across your channel. I think I'm going to like it. You got a 60th thumbs up from me and yes, I hit the other one. Another man of a certain age, bi-coastal but have stayed put on the east coast the last two decades. I lived in CT shortly back in the 80's but never made it up there. Seen lots about it. Know of a certain other couple who live there (well, Providence) and on YT. I'm looking forward to seeing your summer months there and learning more.
It's amazing how many people in New England have never been to Provincetown (like you living in CT and never coming), and yet we have guests from all over the world who come repeatedly! So glad you discovered us! Welcome to the InnDaddies family!
Great vlog guys, Charm guesthouse looks excellent…..a little dusty but nice😮lol. Love Provincetown so much also, been staying there for the summers with my husband since the early 1990’s. I’m a painter, so love the art community. I currently have some of my work available at Botanica Provincetown. Good luck with the opening of Charm this season ❤️ hope to met you both one day. ❤️ Hugs guys.
I'm a painter also! We haven't gotten into that in the vlog (yet). We will stop in at Botanica and see your work! Are you currently in Provincetown for the summer?
So glad I found you guys and your place is great! I've vacuumed a few duraflames in my day, no shame in it:) I worked at the Boatslip and am always glad to see it hasn't been turned to salt. Looking forward to your next vid. Cheers to you both.
Hi! We're glad you found us, too! The Boatslip still stands! Did you think it has changed much?
Love those streets! Thank you.
Right? If you look at century old photographs it all looks mostly the same - you know exactly what you’re looking at. The great thing about Provincetown is that most of it is a historic district. Home always looks the same. ❤️
This is so cool! I always wanted to go there. Greg, Springfield, Louisiana on a rainy incredible hot Louisiana afternoon.
It's in the low 80's, sunny and breezy in Provincetown. Just a little humid. Happy you are watching!
I've never been there. Thanks for giving me a flavor of the place.
We are happy to be helping people "explore" Provincetown through our vlog! Thank you so much for watching!
Beautiful home. Surprised your contractors didn't clean up after doing flooring. What a great community. I'll have to get to P town on of these days.
We were quite surprised too! But overall they did a fantastic job with everything, so we happily put up with the inconvenience!
Love P Town ❤
Good to see town. Lives in Yarmouthport past 23 yrs visited ptown regularly and worked there quite often retired and moved to NC. Love it here but will always love ptown Return trips are in the making couple times a year.
May we ask where you are in NC? We are always interested to know where people go after Cape Cod.
@ good morning. We are near calabash , Holden beach area it’s very close to the intercoastal and about 10 minutes to miles of beach and close to SC state line. We wanted to stay near the ocean so we chose this area. Everything is cheaper ( taxes , homes , etc) No snow warm weather and very friendly people. 15 hour drive to get back home but when your retired it’s ok. Wilmington is about 45 minutes north of the entire coast here is lovely.
Good luck cleaning up all the dust. I love seeing you walk around town during the day and evening. Such a quaint and beautiful town. Awesome vlog. Happy Fourth of July guys. 🎇😄👍
Happy 4th to you also, Steve! Yes, we are still experimenting and figuring out what works in the vlogs and what doesn't. The "B" roll of us out and about is going to be a bigger component that I originally thought I think! I originally thought this vlog was going to be about us being innkeepers in Provincetown, but I think the greater appear is us LIVING in Provincetown. Maybe. LOL!
I haven't been to P Town in like forever. Maybe I need to return 🙏
Definitely!
Woman 'of a certain age' here; spent happy summer days there as a kid, raised a family and brought them there so many summers, and as an adult visited for fun and frolicking while we lived on Cape (Mates weekend and Halloween among our favorites). No other place with a vibe that compares 🦄 Look forward to returning
We will probably be including Mates and, of course, Halloween 2024 in the vlog!
My husband and I have been trying to move out to Ptown or just even the Cape but housing or apartments are nowhere to be found it seems. We visit there quite often , several trips last year out there and this year we have been out there four times so far. We both have good job where we are now. My husband is remote and may be able to work out there. I would have to find new employment. Something for me to consider and leaving a very good job. GREAT video ! I know all the spots you showed / visited. Best of luck to you both. We love Tin Pan Alley for dining and The Canteen too !
We will be doing future vlogs about the realities of living in Provincetown - it has its pluses and minuses, but we can't imagine living anywhere else. The housing situation is hard - that will be your biggest challenge. If your husband can work remotely that's perfect, and you will have no problem finding work in Provincetown - there are plenty of jobs. Just very little housing!
Its beautiful
The last time I visited Boston I made a day trip to PTown and enjoyed myself immensely. I always said ,one day I will return ❤.
You definitely should! We get told over and over by visitors all over the world - there is no place like Provincetown. We will just sit here and wait for you. LOL!
Massive sausage party for those a little light in the loafers
Yummmm - sausage. ❤️. LOL!
How long do ya’ll stay in town? From when to when?
It varies, but the majority of our lives are in Provincetown. It all depends on what the businesses need from us (and some years, they are VERY NEEDY!) We will talk about that in future episodes!
PRETTY
Nice to see content from other YT creators. Others I follow showed me Ptown and the vibe. In the future I want to visit it. Btw I am from Amsterdam and we have a great Canal Pride in August. You and your community members are very welcome to visit us. 🥰
We love Amsterdam! It's been many years but definitely want to return!
New subscriber. Cape guy here.
Welcome to the InnDaddies family!
I love Charmed she is a beautiful girl!
Thank you! We call Charm our "jewel box".
Im going in September. Haven't been there in many moons. Do you guys have parking?
We have guaranteed parking for deluxe rooms at both properties, but if you don't book a deluxe you can put your name on the list for parking (if it's not being used) for an extra charge. Happy you're visiting Provincetown - even if you don't stay with us we're just happy you'll be visiting the town!
I can't think that the boat slip is still the same as when i was there back in the 70s i can see my old room looking over the pool then the guys great looking and fun to be with now anything goes i think it is call hookup oh what they are missing
Your comment hit us in the heart! We are so aware that we are just the current inhabitants of this place. We are happy you still think of Provincetown and we hope you can visit it again! Tea-Dance awaits! XXOO
my old stomping grounds. love ptown
Provincetown holds onto you, doesn't it?
No place like Provincetown. ❤
That's exactly the sentiment you will hear from us all the time! We love it.
By any chance did you know Michael McIntyre, original owner of the Brass 🔑 ?
Yes, we know Michael!
Just discovered your postings ; love them. Does Michael still spend time in P- town. We were friends during our KW days. Have a great 2024 season guys.
@@richardmundy4288 Not sure if he is in town anymore or not. Good question!
It looks the same to me, 35 years later. Though I mean that in a good way. 😊
Taken in a good way! It's true - visually the town never changes. You can watch old film reels of Provincetown in the early 1900's and know exactly what you're looking at. It's one of the appeals of the place!
who did you hire? WOW ID BE PISSED
Ha! We were taken by surprise, but the overall work they did was great!
Next time you’re contractor needs to rent a trailer from u haul and put the furniture and stuff in it for a week,.
Right!?! Or something! The good news is that the work they did was fantastic, so we are happy DESPITE the mess! LOL!
too expensive now..
We will get into that in future vlog episodes. The costs involved with visiting Provincetown is a topic we would not really be able to avoid. LOL.
If I hit like can I get a discount at Salt House? LOL
Love the video content but the piano is a bit much!
Noted!
Way too expensive; overpriced;
Completely agree that prices are extreme. We will talk a lot about that in future videos, both from the perspective of business owners in town and also as travelers to other locations ourselves. There is a lot to unpack there!
"Inndaddys?" Creepy old queens you mean?
You were in this video? Which one was you?
I won't take my child there.
.
Great! Two less people on Commercial Street.
Why? P Town is my heaven on earth. Glad you won’t be bothering those of us who love it
Thank god
Lol snowflake.
