Ali Parker i was riding around with a friend of mine once and my phone was playing music and i have titanic's soundtrack on my phone. the song from the "I'm Flying" scene started playing and my friend just started crying lmao
That would be rather naïve. They both knew Jack was called 'Dawson' and they would have searched the list of survivors. How many Rose Dawsons would be aboard Titanic? The only reason she said 'Dawson, Rose Dawson', was because it was in the script. It is a romantic ending for a movie. That's all.
Her looking up at the Statue of Liberty without Jack gotta be one of the most powerful scenes in the movie. But I think it also symbolized that she was finally free
Sheena Medel I’m not buying it. Rose went slumming and fell head over heels. Supposing Jack made it, they would be dirt poor and living like steerage ten years after.
"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know that there was a man named Jack Dawson and that he saved me in every way that a person can be saved"
Rose seeing the Statue of Liberty is symbolic. Yes, she had lost Jack in this terrible tragedy, but at the same time, he was the one that freed her out of the life that was already written out for her. And now, she is going to live the life she wanted. Without him, but for him. He really did save her in every possible way.
jordy w traumatized and sad probably. Rose pretty much felt the same way all the women felt when there boyfriends/husbands passed away that fateful night 😔
Rose was heartbroken over losing Jack that night. She took his last name to not only honor him, but also to keep herself hidden from her mom and Cal. By doing so, she was able to live her own life the way she wanted to live. When she grows old, Rose will be warm in her bed and recollecting the life she was able to live because of him.
I know right! When i heard that line i just burst into hysterical tears... never cried like that before cuz this was something i really felt from my heart!!
when i was younger, i didn’t understand why she changed her name. but now, when i grew up, i get it. ok, lots of people say that she changed her name because of cal and her mother. but in my opinion it wasn’t just because of it. it was because she told him that when they’ll come to new york, she’ll go with him. it doesn’t matter if he died or not. he was with her this whole time. he was by her side not just through her last name. she never forget him, she always carried him inside her heart and although she get married and fell in love again, he was her true love. and at the end, after 84 years, he still look at her the same way as he did when they were young, she still feel the same love as she did on the titanic, and both of these two wait for each other this long time. now i get it. not even death separated them apart.
So true, that she would try to “live” life be happy. She learnt to love her husband because life goes on but true love when you are lucky enough to find it is infinite.
And that's why her husband is the unluckiest SoB. He had to live his entire life without knowing that his wife only "made lots of babies" because she promised a guy who stole her heart in just four days.
“Winning that ticket was the best thing that ever happened to me” What it’s so heartbreaking about this movie is his love for her was so pure and selfless that he didn’t care if he wasn’t going to make it, his priority was to save her. And to me it’s the most beautiful kind of love, when all you want from someone is a sweet nothing in return. He never seemed worried about not surviving to live a life by her side, and above everything, he wanted Rose to be free, to live the life she needed and to do whatever she always wished for, he really wanted to change the perspective of that depressed girl who was about to jump off the ship, he truly showed her that there was a way out. “You jump, I jump “ And when Rose jumped off the boat back into the ship, she realized he was the most real thing , if not the only, she ever had till that day. And right at that moment, she chooses to die by his side, being together during their last breath was way more valuable than to live without him.
Alyssa J. But, it caught on. The nicest thing that Jack did to Rose (that was pretty unique) is giving her the notion that she has the right to choose her own path and independence. The right to dream, existentialistic speaking. It’s almost similar to this tender discussion scene: th-cam.com/video/LLXQcMEtoEw/w-d-xo.html
Alyssa J. Just like Romeo and Juliet the 2 movies i know that Leo is in he married or wanted to marry just after 2 days the girl he wanted to marry in Romeo and Juliet he married Juliet on the second day and in this they new each other for 48 hours im sure Jack and Rose wanted to marry each other
back then, poor people couldn't afford a photo or something like that. im assuming leo's character was very poor. in those times, um poor people had no place in history.
I love the conception, that she continued living with normal life. Had husband and children. Lived till became very very old. However, every night, before falling asleep, in her mind saw Jack. She lived with those few days spent on Titanic. There are days in our life, which overshadow the rest of the days. It is difficult to define, which is more important - daily routine, or those shiny moments. To sum up, I love the conception behind Rose ... P. S. RIP Gloria Stuart. She was a real artist, who could really understand the character of Rose
I can't even imagine the pain she was in, seeing New York by herself without Jack. Thinking of how free she was now but without Jack. Ready to just be grateful to be alive without Jack. Damn.
I think she must be traumatised and everything must feel very unreal. Just a day ago she was engaged to a man she didn't love and had met a man she actually did love and planned to run away with and then the whole ship sunk under them and her lover died right in front of her and so many others died too... And here she is, in new york, where all the others should have been too, but most are not. Life is so fragile and things that felt unsinkable have sunken. The Titanic is gone, the golden cage is gone and she has survived against all odds. She is on her own now. But she doesn't seem frightened or shaken. She seems determined. She is determined to live the life she wanted to live all along and which Jack told her she really could live! Should! It's her duty now in a way.
Remember when Rose said she'll run away with Jack when the ship docks,. And it never happened, she arrived alone. Leaving him at the bottom of the ocean, only keeping Jack's promise that she'll live no matter what.
This is the moment that truly cements the power of the love that Jack and Rose shared. Even after losing him, Rose holds onto his name as her own, essentially becoming his wife/widow and gifting him with a legacy. Such a powerful moment.
@@lukebaker9116 why? Did you also heard about the theory that jack is just a hallucination of rose and he's really not there with her only in her mind the whole time....
She boarded the Titanic a prisoner and got off the Carpathia as a free woman. She got away from her horrible mother and horrible fiance and became free. She took the name Rose Dawson so Jack would forever be with her and in her heart. That is a sign of true love. I still cry every time i see the movie and i never cry when i watch movies
She was not a prisoner how many times do I need to keep telling people this? the titanic was not in any way a prison ship. also while her mother was horrible Cal wasn't. he tried to be nice to her but she kept pushing his buttons as well as being ungrateful towards him. All rose did on the titanic is whine and complaine over nothing and act all rebellious. so stop trying to make things overdramatic.
travis boutilier One who is trapped in a restraint, being the ship, can be metaphorically described as a prison. Also, he domestically abuses her, which is not right no matter what. So yes, he is a bad person. Moron.
first of all Metaphors are just nonsense, secondly The only abuse Cal did to rose was yell at her and slap her one time which are justified because she was rebelling and finally don't call me a moron.
@@547Panke In the alernate ending (which they didn't use thank god, bc it's awful) she talked about the diamond and why she didn't sell it, it's an awesome line, "the hardest part of being so poor was being so rich, but every time I thought of selling the diamond I thought about Cal, and that somehow I made it without his help" she felt like that diamond was suppose to had sinked along the ship and her old life, that's why she exhalates when she threw it above it, sooo good
I recommend watching this every 10 years. Enough time goes by for you to forget powerful parts and it’s brings back the emotion at different stages of your life and feels just as impactful as the first time seeing it.
this movie is so bittersweet. the way rose looks at the statue of liberty, you can just FEEL the longing and sadness.. it makes my heart ache. kate winslet nailed this movie. i dont care what anyone says. i love this movie and it made me cry.
jasonxpiper510 anyone who would have the audacity to insult Kate's portrayal and performance in this movie should be shot, stripped and hung by their toes. She was absolutely magnificent in this role. She will always be in my memory
" I don't even have a picture" 🥺🥺🥺🥺 that hit deep ..because back in day there was no social media, no cell phones....only memory 😔😔😔 she cnt look at a picture of him and reminisce...just the memories of the short time they spent together that lasted a life time
in 1996 (or 1998, when i saw it the first time), when the film was made, that hurt even more. Back in the days, many people where still alive with long gone relatives and acquaintances that had never ever been photographed before. Now imagine that with the first (and maybe only) real love of your life. And imagine even further, until a few days before that dialogue, she even thought that sketch of hers had gone as well.
Gloria Stuart acted so well in this, it’s no surprise she got an Oscar nomination for it. When she says the line: “He exists now... only in my memories”, watch her eyes: She goes from trying to be jovial and smile to the people in front of her, to succumbing to her true emotions and looking down sadly. It’s heartbreaking.
I didn’t notice that at first, but it’s incredible, these seconds show all her pain about Jack, thanks for noticing! This actually makes a lot of sense!!🙏🏼👍🏼😭😭😭😭💙
I'm pretty sure Rose took Jack's surname for two reasons. One : She loved Jack and certainly would have married him had he survived. Two (a practical reason) : To cut ties with her mother, Cal, and her former life so she wouldn't be found or tracked down by them. she wanted both of them to believe that she had died during the sinking, because it is implied that she never sees her mother or Cal ever again following the sinking.
1987AnimeBoy they didnt no his last name did they??? What made me think was they implied she never talked about jack nor her parents ,past life etc. So it makes me think she told her husband her parents had died, or she was adopted etc
Steph Starrett They did know Jack's last name. Rose's mother would call him Mr Dawson. I always thought they would have found her easily, as she kept her first name and took Jack's last. It was a very romantic choice but not very smart. Then again, it is a movie.
Man, RIP to James Horner. He was a master of emotions with music. I love the bit in this with the trembling flute to show her first steps towards freedom. And then the tune becomes clear and solid with a brass crescendo when she chooses her path to be "Rose Dawson."
27yo boy here and I cried. Falling in love, going through such a horrific event, and not having a picture of the person you loved, like none of this really happened in your life, is absolute tragedy. I don't know if I could cope
@Yash Nayak Somebody who changes your life so drastically like Jack did for Rose isn't someone you ever forget, and if not for him she'd likely never have married her husband anyways, whether it be because she'd end up in marriage with Cal or have ended up killing herself that night on the Titanic or sometime later. While it sounds like stupid only happens in movies shit, I'm sure that sometimes it doesn't matter how long you've known someone. Sometimes it's just meant to be.
The most unrealistic aspect of this movie: Rose starting as a woman of privilege with servants and deciding to give it all up for a life of poverty. And this was in the days before women could vote or get an education, so god knows how Rose made it on her own. I know, it's just a movie.
That steward who approached Rose was so gentle and sincere to her. He knew she had been through a difficult ordeal, and didn't treat her like all the other people in Rose's previous life on Titanic did.
Don't hate. I get it though. It's a great movie. One of the best in history. They don't understand...it's to late for me. Lol. I'll take Titanic over any Star Wars movie!
My partner died last September and we wanted to marry and never got the chance. I went to pick up his ashes and a friend drove me. She asked as we sat in silence waiting for them to bring the ashes to me.. “did you ever think of pulling a Rose Dawson?” I had already been considering changing my last name and love this film and it’s partially how the idea came to me. I responded yes. And about two months later my name was his. And will be till I die. This movie kills me even worse than it used to.
Yeah in an unexpected twist on march 3 I got diagnosed right off the bat with metastatic stage 4 breast cancer. Hormonally driven. They’ve got me on blockers and putting me into menopause early to hopefully shrink the tumours but it’s luck of the draw whether I have a year or 10. I guess there’s a chance we likely wont be apart for very long anyhow. How’s that for another kick in the pants?
Jack was one of those rare, special people. He saw something in Rose, grabbed in, and held on as tight as he could. Even though all odds were against him: him not having any money, him basically being homeless, and a third class passenger, he still went after what he wanted: a potential love with Rose that transcended all the social class and wealth of the era. The scene of Rose staring off into space right before she is running on the deck to jump off the ship shows how truly empty and mentally and emotionally draining being apart of the rich class was for her. She was existing but she wasn't living. She was breathing but she wasn't fully alive. All those wealthy people were so afraid to ever leave their comfort zone and bubble, that none of them ever experienced wild and crazy times like Rose eventually did with Jack. They would never truly know what it meant to live life to the fullest and what could be in store for you if you take a leap of faith. That was why when Jack reached under and pulled Rose up from where she was, he showed her a whole new world that she didn't knew existed. A world where you can have spitting competitions, dance with complete strangers and have the time of your life, drink wildly and freely, and simply be unrestricted and live how you like instead of having others tell you how to live constantly. Whereas, Cal was so materialistic with his money. It got to his head to the point where he thought money could buy him anything, including a wife. But money only goes so far with love. The diamond necklace he gives Rose parallels Tom's necklace he gave to Daisy in the Great Gatsby. It is a powerful image: a man putting a beautiful, expensive necklace around a woman's neck. To me, it symbolizes not only a leash but a noose because they are essentially committing emotional and mental suicide being chained to these men who don't allow them to be themselves freely. Instead, Jack gave Rose a portrait of herself. From a literal standpoint, he was showing her how breathtakingly beautiful she was as a person on the outside. From a metaphorical standpoint, he was showing her how young, inexperienced, and valuable she is as a person. He didn't try to put his hands on her while he drew her. Many men would probably be tempted to do something if they were in his position or have dirty thoughts while drawing her. He didn't. You can see on his facial expression the intricate depth of focus he has because he is only drawing what he sees- he is not attaching any possible sexual desires in that moment with Rose. He really is seeing her for how she is. In that scene, she is hesitate, especially when she lays on the couch and Jack says, "Try to relax your face." He is inadvertently asking Rose: how can you get married this young to someone you barely know? You don't even know who you are yourself. There is so much out there for you to see. To do. So much you have not experienced. You are not even fully comfortable with yourself. How can you give yourself to someone in such a committed bond like marriage? You can see Jack capitalizing on this when he pulls Rose into the gym while she is getting a tour of the boat. The fear is palpable in her eyes when she is talking about how she will go marry Cal and that Jack needs to stay away. He knows that she isn't okay even though she says she is. He can see through her. He can really, truly see her. This is a stark contrast to the scene where Rose's mother takes her cigarette, puts it out, and Cal asks her, "Isn't that right sweet pea?" Rose gives him a sarcastic look but he can't read it.
@@pheetshiaalameen5364the last thing I would want to read on the internet is a comparison between a masterpiece like Titanic and a piece of shit that DDLJ is.
Iam Madridista - Not every aspect. The Statue of Liberty was still mostly copper-coloured in 1912, not primarily green or even completely green like it is now.
"He saved me ,in every way that a person can be saved". This scene makes us realise that it's our heart that decides who we love and not anything outworldly
She says she never spoke of Jack even to her husband, so I'm wondering just how much she must have kept from her husband. She went by Rose Dawson until she got married, so it seems like that is how she would have introduced herself to her husband and never told him she was actually born Rose DeWitt Bukater. Did she never tell her husband about the first 17 years of her life, being born rich, being engaged to Cal, her controlling mother, any of it? If she never told him about Jack, that means she never told him the story of how she became Rose Dawson, possibly meaning she let her husband believe that she grew up poor and her name had always been Rose Dawson. It is already really extreme that she would keep such a pivotal and meaningful experience from the man she spent her life with, but it actually seems like she kept her entire history a secret from him. She would have had to - even her granddaughter at first didn't believe that she had actually been on the Titanic.
Crazygurl1211 I don't think James Cameron thought it through that clearly while writing the script. Rose would have had to conceal a great deal from Mr. Calvert if she never mentioned Jack. Her lack of family and resources are only the beginning. Prior to FDR's presidency in the 30s, VERY few social programs for the poor existed; Rose needed to remain in hiding, and she had zero practical skills. People need to eat every day. How could she have survived in the interim? Easier said than done today, much less in pre-WWI America.
+galveston not really,, i doubt it would have occurred to her mother that she lived.. and even if she had, and went looking for her.., rose would have stayed near the people that reminded her of jack and that would have been lower/poor people.. her mother would have never gone there..
+Crazygurl1211 She changed her name to Dawson so that she could start a brand new life. If she would have kept her name, somehow Cal or her mother would have found her or she just would have just been dragged back into a life she didn't want. Being Rose Dawson was so much more than just a name, it was a new start. She would have figured out how to explain it to her husband, or maybe she just chose to omit her past.
Personally i think the first half minute of this scene is probably the best in the whole movie. The way rose just stands there in the rain looking up at the Statue of Liberty... the love of her life has been taken from her and when she’s saying “Dawson, Rose Dawson” she shows once again Jack will always be in her heart and she will never forget him.
I think the saddest thing about this scene is the fact they say “we pulled all the records and there was no jack Dawson” is is true because he won the tickets at the start of the film so he wouldn’t have been on the ships register, what makes that even more tragic is that she is probably the only person who knew what happened to him and because of her age , the last person to know of him, his legacy and life literally died with her
When I heard Rose saying “Rose Dawson”. I cannot stop crying, because it means that Rose thinks that she has already married to Jack, she is his wife forever even though Jack passed away. It really goes inside my heart 💓. He is the only man she loves even though she has never had any picture of Jack.
"Women's heart is a deep ocean of secrets" "I don't even have a picture of him,he exists now only in my memory" "He saved me,in every way that a person can be saved" +background music😢💔💕 -Dawson(Rose Dawson)
Its just so crazy how she spent just a few days of her life with him and then he was gone, just like that. And in those few days he made her feel things she'd never experienced in her entire life. It was really like he never existed and just was a figment of her imagination. I think that's what had me crying the most. It reminds me of when you go on vacation abroad for like a week and then a day or two before youre meant to leave you meet like the best people ever and become the best of friends only to leave and never see or hear from them again, like they never existed. I love this movie with all my heart, I love you Jack dawson ❤
Jack was an angel. And his mission was to save Rose in all ways a person could be saved. That's why he is absolutely unselfish and ready to die for her.
This is probably one of my favorite scenes from the movie: Rose standing still in the storm, gazing at the Statue of Liberty, not even caring to take cover. She's just lost everything in one of America's biggest tragedies... the end of a chapter and the start of a new life as Rose Dawson.
V Hammonds The Titanic was one of our ships (i.e. British) that sank almost 1000 miles south of eastern Canada. There was nothing "American" about it at all.
Kwesi Idun it’s a worldly tragedy. There were people of all walks of life on that ship, including Americans. Where the Titanic actually sank has no relativity. It is a big part of American history.
It's such a beautiful, sad movie. I can't watch Titanic without crying my eyes out. Gets me every time. I love when you see all of her pictures, riding a horse on the beach with 1 leg on each side and the roller coasters in the background. She did everything her and Jack said they were going to do. She kept her promise right up until the very end. That's true love right there
If she had changed her last name to Dawson because of her family then she could have just used any other last name. She changed it to Dawson because she was a changed person after Jack.
The music when Rose's looking at the Statue of Liberty gives me such a sensational chilling feeling. After all those confinement and restriction, she finally made it to the land of freedom and passions.
Yeah but not for the reason we all would like to think, she did that so Cal and her mother wouldn't find her or know she was on the ship, but they would know if they see her, so...... 🤔
“Why can’t I be like you, Jack?” She didn’t just want to be with him, she wanted to be LIKE him. And she was, she just needed a little help setting it free. Hence, Rose Dawson.
I think that, even though Jack Dawson was a fictional character made up by James Cameron, he was supposed to symbolize all those people whose names were forgotten after the wreck and became just part of the number of lost souls. Most of the people we know of we know because they had surviving family members somewhere who knew they were aboard the Titanic, or who survived the wreck themselves and passed on the tale. However, those who were on the ship with their entire families, or who were all alone, who had no family and left no survivors... they don't even live in anyone's memory, at this point. I find this though incredibly sobering and sad.
i would like to appreciate this and all the people who liked this comment. there were people, there were love stories like this which we dont know about. jack and rose were just representations. they were meant to connect people to the tragedy and the pain.
GOAT REVIEWS the first thing u would have to do is learn how to drive a boat because the captain didn't even try to move the boat from hitting the iceberg and plus u might change the future if u change the past
Jermani Bennett Actually, Edward John Smith(Captain), and his officers, tried EVERYTHING to turn the ship. Unlike in the movie, records indicate the real EJ Smith was working tirelessly everyday. It couldn’t corner in time, it’s rudders were too small.
As Old Rose is finishing up telling her story to the Keldysh crew and her granddaughter, one of the researchers mentions that this is the first time they even heard of a Jack Dawson being a victim of the sinking. While it's easy to assume that it's because most of the historical records only focused on the famous and/or rich people who died in the disaster (such as Isidor and Ida Strauss), it makes total sense when you remember that Jack and Fabrizio won their tickets on the Titanic last minute in a poker game. Those tickets were bought by somebody else and registered to somebody else so there wouldn't have been any record of Jack buying a ticket or being a third-class passenger on the ship.
Rose and Jack were names made just for the movie there's no one that was on the Titanic named Jack Dawson or Sven or Fabrizio there's was only about 5 or more people that actually were named after the real Titanic including some things that actually happened like that the band played till they sunk

What the Man speak to she? I dont undestand englsh well.
when i was younger, i didn’t understand why she changed her name. but now, when i grew up, i get it. ok, lots of people say that she changed her name because of cal and her mother.
but in my opinion it wasn’t just because of it. it was because she told him that when they’ll come to new york, she’ll go with him. it doesn’t matter if he died or not. he was with her this whole time. he was by her side not just through her last name. she never forget him, she always carried him inside her heart and although she get married and fell in love again, he was her true love.
and at the end, after 84 years, he still look at her the same way as he did when they were young, she still feel the same love as she did on the titanic, and both of these two wait for each other this long time.
now i get it. not even death separated them apart.
I dont knw why, after reading ur comment i felt so so sad that rose and jack couldnt be together

GFBDBDGFBCHBVV
Aw damnit 😭
She didn't marry someone else because she loved him,she married him because she Promised Jack❤
@@ZhangtheGreat saved her life! Women are good in hiding their true love! And life will go on and on
Y’all know it’s a movie right? Lol
Maverick Rose who asked u
“Winning that ticket was the best thing that ever happened to me”
What it’s so heartbreaking about this movie is his love for her was so pure and selfless that he didn’t care if he wasn’t going to make it, his priority was to save her.
“You jump, I jump “
And when Rose jumped off the boat back into the ship, she realized he was the most real thing , if not the only, she ever had till that day. And right at that moment, she chooses to die by his side, being together during their last breath was way more valuable than to live without him.
Aww she knew him 48 hours and she already knew she wanted to marry him...how sweet.
at least she just didn't get married 10 days after his death like Henry VIII did to Jane Seymour
Alyssa J. she actually took his last name to prevent her mother or Cal finding her
margarey tyrell-peverell true but she did love him
Alyssa J. Just like Romeo and Juliet the 2 movies i know that Leo is in he married or wanted to marry just after 2 days the girl he wanted to marry in Romeo and Juliet he married Juliet on the second day and in this they new each other for 48 hours im sure Jack and Rose wanted to marry each other
The part when rose says that she doesn't even have a picture of jack is so fucking sad!😢
back then, poor people couldn't afford a photo or something like that. im assuming leo's character was very poor. in those times, um poor people had no place in history.
1945joshuaruiz Even rich people barely had cameras. It was 1912 and took ages to set a camera up
She would have said that he looked like Leonardo DiCaprio.
Melissa Morales yeah really it made me cry too..... n also that shaking voice of old rose ... my god
Damn.
So painful
Yeah, that's life...
Why did scenes from titanic be deleted, and can I find the original?
Очень больно на самом деле

She was not a prisoner how many times do I need to keep telling people this? the titanic was not in any way a prison ship. also while her mother was horrible Cal wasn't. he tried to be nice to her but she kept pushing his buttons as well as being ungrateful towards him. All rose did on the titanic is whine and complaine over nothing and act all rebellious. so stop trying to make things overdramatic.

..because back in day there was no social media, no cell phones....only memory 😔😔😔 she cnt look at a picture of him and reminisce...just the memories of the short time they spent together that lasted a life time
in 1996 (or 1998, when i saw it the first time), when the film was made, that hurt even more.

She sat down with Kate and the talked for hours so she could portray an older version

I wonder how Fay Wray would have played it. She was first choice but turned it down
My dream was that Greta Garbo could live a few more years to play the older Rose in Titanic. This would give a totally mytical quality to the movie.

I completely believe both of those points
This made me wonder how Cal and Ruth didn't make the connection if they saw the name "Rose Dawson" on the survivors list?
1987AnimeBoy they didnt no his last name did they??? What made me think was they implied she never talked about jack nor her parents ,past life etc. So it makes me think she told her husband her parents had died, or she was adopted etc
They did. Rose introduced him as Mr. Dawson at the dinner.

“But now you know there was a man named Jack Dawson. And he saved me. In every way a person can be saved” THE FEELS MAN!
It hits you hard knowing that there’s literally no proof of Jack ever existing
and he only exists in her memory
So trueee

"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets"
Beautiful, and very true.
She would have figured out how to explain it to her husband, or maybe she just chose to omit her past.
rose wasnt a real person, purely fictional just like jack was.
Just because youre married doesn't mean you tell thzt person everything about your past

-Dawson(Rose Dawson)

It breaks my heart and my eyes starts to get full of tears.

This movie saved me in every way a person could be saved..
After all these years, this still makes me cry every single time 😭😭
😢😢😢
More than 100years . Both died. Their love is always alive ❤
If she had changed her last name to Dawson because of her family then she could have just used any other last name. She changed it to Dawson because she was a changed person after Jack.
The music when Rose's looking at the Statue of Liberty gives me such a sensational chilling feeling. After all those confinement and restriction, she finally made it to the land of freedom and passions.
she was already an American tho lol. Probably would apply more so the immigrants who survived.
Lol
kill me😂😂😂😂
Land of retards and guns
Haha what hardships???
She took his last name😭😭
Well yeah if she used her real name her family would've found her.
zeldafreak701 goddamn. chill lmfao
@@zzz_phyr LOL
Yeah but not for the reason we all would like to think, she did that so Cal and her mother wouldn't find her or know she was on the ship, but they would know if they see her, so...... 🤔
"he exists now only in my memory"
makes me cry every single time
Rose: “Dawson”

Titanek
Celine almost the name of the singer who made the song for the Titanic
“Why can’t I be like you, Jack?” She didn’t just want to be with him, she wanted to be LIKE him. And she was, she just needed a little help setting it free. Hence, Rose Dawson.
There's a reason why this movie is so great and this scene shows why.
That Rose took the name Dawson to honor the man she loved. Also to hide from her mother and Cal so they think she's dead.

I don't know this movie has so much space in my heart..i can never get enough of it...its just so special, the music, the song everything.......n
It’s amazing how a video that’s not even 2 minutes long can reduce you to tears
This Film is a fu***ing masterpiece 😭😭❤️❤️
Officer: Can I take your name please, love?
Rose... Rose Skywalker.
Skywalker??
YES WE NEEDED THIS MY LIFE IS COMPLETE
This is so sad I am crying if I could go back in time I would stop the titanic from sinking
I know how you feel, but the Titanic underwent a lot of problems these days. Can you believe that Muni was established at the time that she sank?
GOAT REVIEWS the first thing u would have to do is learn how to drive a boat because the captain didn't even try to move the boat from hitting the iceberg and plus u might change the future if u change the past
Jermani Bennett Actually, Edward John Smith(Captain), and his officers, tried EVERYTHING to turn the ship. Unlike in the movie, records indicate the real EJ Smith was working tirelessly everyday. It couldn’t corner in time, it’s rudders were too small.
no, if the titanic wouldn‘t have sinked we wouldn‘t have this wonderful movie now 😍🤤
How?? can you actually do that huh??
Jack's ticket belonged to Sven -- they could have at least tried to look up Sven.
But nowhere in the movie does Rose get to know about Sven. Jack only mentions that he got the tickets at the poker game 😊
Rose and Jack were names made just for the movie there's no one that was on the Titanic named Jack Dawson or Sven or Fabrizio there's was only about 5 or more people that actually were named after the real Titanic including some things that actually happened like that the band played till they sunk
Yes atleast if fabrizio or tony survived rose could have got to them and got a picture of him ..but unlucky
“Not even your Grandfather” That is the cutest line in this movie she says. 😅😅😅
GOD DAMN THESE ONIONS!! such a great but tragic story, watched a whole bunch of videos on the real Titanic after this film
