There are a good number of guitarists in history that are left handed all around, but play right handed. One great guy that comes to mind is Steve Morse. Most likely out of necessity, as there weren't many left handed models until the improvements in manufacturing finally caught up with demand.
yes, there is a difference... my grandmother is ambidextrous, she can write with either hand (usually she writes on paper w/ her left and on a chalkboard w/ her right) and my stepfather is co-dominant, but with a dominant right hand... either way i do get impressed easily with this kind of stuff xD
This guitar is one of Ibanez's more expensive Artist Signature models (Steve Vai being the most expensive I've seen on the website) but being an Ibanez user myself this guitar is absolutely awesome. If I was gonna fork the money out for this modified S model, i'd do it. I'm more partial to the RG series though.
Some obvious influence from Steve Vai's JEM here. The last four frets are scalloped, there's a handle built into it, and its pickup configuration is HSH. He's a great guitarist. I guess everyone has to get their influence from somewhere.
His left hand is his dominant hand, but plays guitar right handed; it's pretty common. Mark Knopfler and Danny Gatton do the same, along with some other famous players that I can't remember!
herman sounds like randall the midget from the time bandits movie lol kinda looks like him too..love ya herman and frank gambale loves your guitar ..soo much so it used to be his signature model ;P
Herman li sounds like a combination of several different accents... Like im getting some northern england, bit of Londoner, bit of cockney, and a bit of a Chinese/Japanese accent.
@reshad1 take it to a shop dude have them check it out it might not be set up right also if u fix the issue let me know was interested in buying the 8 :)
Awesome guitar and awesome guitarist!!! I hate people who see comments from other videos that are top rated, then copy that and paste it on a different video in an attempt to get a lot of thumbs up. Be original...
@yanava not really, its a normal S guitar with 24 frets, 4 of which are scalloped. the hand mark is made with his hand, but its more of a cosmetic feature. the features on this would make it a pretty good alternative to a Jem or prestige. I can honestly see les people buying a satch sig guitar if they were looking at specs.
And the Jem is just an RG Series with a hole cut in it, and Yngie's Start is just a Strat. Such a Great EYE you have. Unfortunately for those who actually play guitar and have played the top of the line vs bottom of the barrel and in the middle, I guarantee the changes he made makes it stand out from a standard S series. The scallop in the body to reach the high frets being a significant change to the s series, the scalloped 4 frets, the specific pickups made for the guitar, the specific new bridge. You won't get an S-series with all of that hardware and sound without getting that specific model.
I think it's called co-dominance. I do the same thing, I write with my left hand but do everything else right handed... It's weird. Ambidextrous would mean he could do anything with either hand and be entirely comfortable, but that's VERY rare, most people who say they're ambidextrous are probably co-dominant.
I have the Ibanez E-GEN 8 PLB but when I played a scream down with the tremolo, especially the g- string ended (as soon as I released) about a half tone under the normal g, and if I pulled the tremolo up, it went back to the normal tone. Does this come from to much tremolo-playing?
+Guitar Heave n try to have it set up correctly... as in make sure the bridge is parallel to the body, make sure it comes back to that position, adjust the spring tension, etc. search "set up floyd rose" or "set up ibanez edge"
The Edge Zero bridge is absolutely garbage until you get it set up correctly. Take it to a pro. My XPT700 has an EZ3 bridge and I should most likely get it changed because fuck. The knife edges on the EZ series are known for breaking reatively quickly
@PublicEnemyNo66 scalloped is when the fret isnt flat, instead it is shaped like a U because the wood was shaved. look up yngwie malmsteens guitar he has scalloped frets and i think ritchie blackmore did it to one of his guitars
@EmilShafy95 egen dude. all the way. great tone, good looks, ibanez quality, nice thin neck. and thin neck isnt even in schecters vocab. not to mention the features on this thing blow away anything schecters got
"I'm the only guy in the band that's not gay", nice shirt Herman!!
Vali Dumitrache who's*
Vali Dumitrache IKR

Custom shop guitars are so much fun just not the prices

Ben Affleck and Herman Li should do Something together. No homo tho.
i'm so happy getting one of those in a few days.... i'm so exited!!!
Damn he's left handed, and he play right handed guitar like a monster
Um lol I'm pretty sure he was saying he's a lefty when it comes to writing (or in this case, painting).
There are a good number of guitarists in history that are left handed all around, but play right handed. One great guy that comes to mind is Steve Morse. Most likely out of necessity, as there weren't many left handed models until the improvements in manufacturing finally caught up with demand.
Michael Joshua Gary Moore was left handed
Writing and playing guitar are two very different things, being left handed means very little
it's not a scoop..... i pee with the right and i scratch my balls with my left
Herman Li's accent is really confusing..... I can't tell if its a british or an asian accent.
It's both. He was born in Hong Kong, later moved to the U.K.
It's hybrid
Yes
Its called asian guy tryinh british accent like me
Herman Li is the freaking man.

01:10 that guitar is fantastic! No strings, no knobs (ha ha) no pickups yes I would do through the fire and the flames with that! Ha
the prototype s24 in the beginning is soo sweet!!!
SICK
yes, there is a difference... my grandmother is ambidextrous, she can write with either hand (usually she writes on paper w/ her left and on a chalkboard w/ her right) and my stepfather is co-dominant, but with a dominant right hand... either way i do get impressed easily with this kind of stuff xD

That shirt is awesome!
I don't really like DragonForce or Herman Li, but I went here for the "making of" thing and it's nice. And damn that shirt is badass ^^
His left hand is his dominant hand, but plays guitar right handed; it's pretty common. Mark Knopfler and Danny Gatton do the same, along with some other famous players that I can't remember!
That Guitar is a work of Art wielded by The Master Herman Li
i cant stop watching this video
To think that one of those samples would eventually be available for purchase to the public. I’d kill for that monster
herman sounds like randall the midget from the time bandits movie lol kinda looks like him too..love ya herman and frank gambale loves your guitar ..soo much so it used to be his signature model ;P

I hate people who see comments from other videos that are top rated, then copy that and paste it on a different video in an attempt to get a lot of thumbs up. Be original...
I don't believe his shirt :D
@yanava not really, its a normal S guitar with 24 frets, 4 of which are scalloped. the hand mark is made with his hand, but its more of a cosmetic feature. the features on this would make it a pretty good alternative to a Jem or prestige. "designed by me"
... right, that grip thing totally makes it not just an s series...
Also the specific parts list that goes into the guitar
Right. All he did was change some of the aesthetics
And the Jem is just an RG Series with a hole cut in it, and Yngie's Start is just a Strat. Such a Great EYE you have. @PublicEnemyNo66 scalloped is when the fret isnt flat, instead it is shaped like a U because the wood was shaved. look up yngwie malmsteens guitar he has scalloped frets and i think ritchie blackmore did it to one of his guitars
