Malik Abad Kewa Qazigund Habitation gas got tapped water for the first time under Har Ghar Jal of JJM, who earlier used to fetch water from a pond to use, which would make them ill being uncovered and not chlorinated
Talking to DD News Srinagar, the inhabitants of Malik Abad Kewa Qazigund thanked the government and the Jal Shakti Department for providing them safe drinking water for the first time
Assistant Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Division Qazigund Mohd Rafiq Bhat said to DD News Srinagar that after assessing the problem of the said Habitation, the department tapped the water from the same pond, after covering and doing all needful including construction of sump and pump operator quarter following the guidelines of Jal Jiwan Mission to ensure safe drinking water supply to the people .
