Girl, I can see how it wouldn't be worth it for your texture of hair. I, on the other hand, would buy that with a quickness it were not so expensive. I'm African American with THICK and KINKY natural hair. The typical hair dryer is actually more cumbersome and damaging for my hair than the Rev Air would be.
I watched a video of someone using a vacuum and had the same results. I recommend doing that until the RevAir lowers in price lol that’s what I’m gonna do
Thank you so much, Louisa! Your hair looks so soft and shiny after rev'ing your hair. We love your comparison to a vacuum too! We always say "don't do it, the results won't be the same!" And you proved our point with that big knotty mess. 😉 Just FYI the seven tension settings are based on hair type, the higher you go, the more suction your hair will receive. If your hair knots up, the tension setting needs to come down. It takes a few tries to determine your perfect setting and once you know it, rev'ing your hair takes no time at all!
I would like higher heat and tension settings for extremely coily/dense hair. The added heat and tension settings would alleviate the need to use a flat iron on extremely coily hair just as it does on straight hair. I think this is a wonderful innovative tool! Thank you so much!
Pretty cumbersome device, but it does the job. I have a REXair that I can use as a hair dryer, more specifically a Rainbow that I can suck my hair dry. It's either that or my shop vac that I use with a concentrator nozzle or the crevice tool but my hair isn't 45 cm (roughly 18 inches/ 1 1/2 feet) long but it does a decent job either way. I wouldn't recommend suck drying hair with a conventional vacuum where it uses dry filters as the moisture can accelerate clogging the filters or rusting a motor, thus I use a Rainbow or a wet and dry vac. The motor housings are often made of plastic or a glass-reinforced resin to mitigate corrosion.
For someone with straight hair, I don't think it's worth the money. I on the other hand have very curly hair that typically takes 45 to 50 minutes to blow dry. The RevAir has changed my life! It's amazing!! Dries and straightens in half the time & leaves my hair very soft. Totally worth it for curly haired folks!!
2 years later, would you still say it's worth it? Every year I keep trying to talk myself into getting one but that PRICE 😭. I'll just have to look at it as an investment if it's still worth it. Would be nice to wear stretched hairstyles sometimes without the hassle of combing through it and manipulating it other than detailing
Very awesome and intuitive 😂.. I am a stylist and you did the darn thing with this thing... I loved the presentation.. Natural humor was the greatest.. Thanks for anwering all our questions .. because, I would of pulled out my shop vac in comparison..❤
The vacuum! 😂 I can only imagine what this would do to someone with short hair! I would look like a well groomed Beetlejuice! Love your videos! Love you, Lou!
Girl you are total entertainment, I get so excited when you post because I know I'm going to be left cracking up laughing,,, two dryers at once was hysterical. Great video Lou
Besides being cumbersome & ridiculously noisy I would imagine that the hose would become quite dirty after lots of use regardless of the fact that the user should have clean hair. The reason being that even after shampooing our scalps still shed skin, loose hair & secrete natural oils so the thought of using it in a hair salon is rather unappealing.
It’s big, it’s loud, it’s expensive and it sucks! No really, if they streamline that more and chop the price a bit, I would want one. I love straight hair but don’t like ironing it.
LOL! Your review is wonderfu!l I love the way you did everything that a person at home would.... you tested the heat on your face, you pulled out your home vacuum and tried it! LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking! I wish the price was less but I'm going to get one as soon as possible! Thanks again for your wonderful review!
I got my Dyson on a payment plan. I'm not done paying it off yet(1 more) but I still love it:) The diffuser on it is amazing for my daughter's curly hair. She NEVER would use a blow dryer until the Dyson. Now, she's got beautiful curls instead of flat ironing her hair every day.
How much time total did it take to dry your hair with this vs. a normal hair dryer? I think it's a good idea, but between the price, size, and noise, I can't see myself buying it any time soon.
I don’t actually think I could hold that up above my head. I think being restricted with the tube would irritate me too. I think it would be easier to do on another’s head than on your own. But I suppose it could be a learning curve, like when I got my GHDS and thought they didn’t work because my hair didn’t straighten. It was a case of technique and practice.
I can totally appreciate the concept especially since I too have some wave to my hair, but goodness does it ever look cumbersome. Then again, oh what fun it is to try and hold a dryer in one hand and a round brush or any brush in the other to get a smooth style.
I had the most intense range of emotions all in less than a minute. From the moment you brought out the vacuum. I first thought “eww she’s not gonna put that on her hair 🤢” to “wow she’s clever if this work🤔” to “hahaha!” 😂”to “I’m a jerk for laughing at her pain 🤭” to “at least it brushed out easy 👌🏼” 😁
Geez Louise! Is that gas powered with a pull start, lol!?! It's big, loud, and heavy! Thats some very serious hair drying equipment, ya got there!!! Cute demo! Love your videos!
Hair salones stylist says that they are very prominent to go deaf by a lot of noisy machinery they use daily and using that vacuum hair dryer it doesn't help to tha because is like 5 hair blow dryers at the same time. I think if they wouod had the machine motor in other area and only have the a long cord would be great like those vacuum cleaners that the motor its on the wall and the tubes comes out of the wall in an compartment special made so it doesn't contaminate the air and reduce noise
Also, I miss having a whole house vacuum- those things are awesome! My family had one put into our house back in the late 80s and I thought it was the coolest thing ever as a kid!
Hi Lou, could you try this on someone you know who has long (waist length'ish), curly hair? I'm wondering if it will straighten it the same while tangling it more, which is usually the case.
Why not buy a cheap vacuum specifically for hair purposes? It'd be cheaper than $400 and you won't get floor dirt in your hair. I'd consider it if not for the fact that I literally always air dry my hair.
OMG Lou LOL that sure looked like a work out ... maybe I SHOULD get one of these just to work out my arms LOL "tell me you didn't want to see me do that" LOL Love you GF! xoxo Mary
OMG! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!! The entire time! Every time you put that giant thing to your head-so many things ran through mine, like what search engine were you on when you found it-was it on the dark web?! And it could be used in some sort of slap-stick comedy where body parts and all kinds of things are being sucked into it-omg! Thanks for making my day-you're the best! :) :) :)
You don't have greasy hair, if i don't wash daily i look like i used crisco as a styling product, no exaggeration, my hair also soaks up hairspray and i can literally shellac it to my head helmet style and 6 hours later run my fingers through it with few snags, it sucks out loud
It's Soo cumbersome!😂 Your hair looks so shiny and soft though. I straighten mine as well ( similar hair style) so probably would use it. BTW, My dachshund is obsessed with bubble wrap as well. He goes crazy for it!😄 Thanks for another entertaining video.
Does the hair become frizzy again after a while? I saw a review on Amazon that said after sometime her hair was back to being frizzy and was sort of straight.
I like the results, but for now, the price tag and how cumbersome the dryer appears to be will keep me from buying it. I hope they can come with a way to make it easier to handle. Thanks for the demonstration! I'd never even heard of a reverse dryer before.
I agree with everyone else. Thank you for making us laugh. You dont know how much we need it. Your hair looked amazing and just watching you holding it made my arm hurt lol
Lol!! Again your humor is fantastic. Sounds like this is a great concept. I am sure they could find a way to make it more compact and user friendly. Maybe slighter bigger than a normal hair dryer
Aw, I love Abby! I wish I had had something like this machine when I was in middle/high school. Straight styles were in, and I was cursed with wavy curly hair.
Most little shop vacs have an adjuster to determine the amount of sucking you want. Keep a little one only for hair and it stays clean. I'm not the only person I know who has used that method in the summertime when we don't want the heat of a traditional hair dryer. Practice a little and you'll do a great job in no time. The little shop vacs are light weight, too. In an emergency you could use the shop vac for something other than hair, but don't forget to clean the hose out really well before using it on your hair again! LOL
THAT FIRST THING YOU TOOK OUT LOOKS LIKE THIS THING I KEEP IN MY CAR TO PUT AIR IN MY TIRES IF THEY LOOK LOW OR GO FLAT! 😂😂 You plug 🔌 it into where the cigarette lighter thing goes and it reaches round to each tire and you put the end of the thing on the thing and you get air in your tires! Lol 😂🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Hi Lou 😍 so loved this video!! You are soooo funny!! Awesome review!! FYI if you ever want to sell it, hey I will buy it from you 👍🏻 ...I’m not even joking!! Keep these videos coming...I’m loving it! 😍
I'm writing a commercial for that hairdryer: "Hey, do you like dry hair, but your current dryer isn't, heavy, noisy, or expensive enough? Do you want a dryer that you need to dedicate an entire room to?... Well, for just $400 you can get this cumbersome nightmare of an appliance."
You always crack me up & make me smile! ♥️ It's nice to finally get a chance to get sucked instead of always having to blow 😏😜😂 But I was wondering if you bought this yourself or if the company sent it to you to review?
Because you have a curl to your hair, let me tell you a trick that worked for me. Don’t do bobs/a hair cut where you look down when they trim. Get a square end. The bob has a little longer hair from the top of your hair so it will curl under. But I feel like that kills waves and curl. Just recommending this because of the video where you said you are having issues styling your lob. Even if you wear it straight you have natural curl so you can make the ends curl under. Don’t t need the cut for that.
This is the answer to the question i didnt even know I wanted answered.
Lanre Famojuro i bought it with a quickness and am throwing out or donating my old blow dryer
Right, if it was like 150/200$ I'd buy it fr
SAME- expeditiously!
I watched a video of someone using a vacuum and had the same results. I recommend doing that until the RevAir lowers in price lol that’s what I’m gonna do

How can I save money ? Any coupons?
@myrevhair Did Someone come up with this hair dryer idea from vacuuming their hair accidentally or intentionally? lol
@skip2mylou please do the vacuum ponytail

Is that the travel size?
🤣🤣
🤣😝

If you have straight hair but it is so long it goes past your butt…..it would be worth it just for saving time.
Oh my gosh, Lou! You make me laugh which is so needed. I look forward to your videos, a bright spot for sure! Thank you!
I love the idea of that contraption. I hate putting heat to my hair. It's cumbersome and expensive though!
Did you match your polish to the sucker on purpose?
Very awesome and intuitive 😂.. I am a stylist and you did the darn thing with this thing... I loved the presentation.. Natural humor was the greatest.. Thanks for anwering all our questions .. because, I would of pulled out my shop vac in comparison..❤

Great video thanks!. Can I kindly have the data sheet for the rev air if you don’t mind sharing
I'd be afraid it would suction the little bit of hair I have left. Lol! Looks like too much trouble and heavy. :)
Shelby Hall I ordered a dyson hair dryer last night. Can’t wait to get it.
Shelby Hall you can get this on payments I believe

ok , in fairness I haven't watched your video yet, but I ordered one of these and I friggen love it !
I can totally appreciate the concept especially since I too have some wave to my hair, but goodness does it ever look cumbersome. Then again, oh what fun it is to try and hold a dryer in one hand and a round brush or any brush in the other to get a smooth style.
😂😂 thank you for making me laugh! I haven't had a lot to laugh about lately. Thank you for being you!
I had the most intense range of emotions all in less than a minute. From the moment you brought out the vacuum. I love that you just get straight to the point ugh❤️
Did the revair make your hair smell smoky like a regular flatiron would?
Geez Louise! Is that gas powered with a pull start, lol!?! It's big, loud, and heavy! Thats some very serious hair drying equipment, ya got there!!! Cute demo! Love your videos!

Today I learned that sometimes sucking blows in a good way 😆 and to never vacuum my hair. Thanks Lou!
I would be so annoyed with anyone using this in the morning!
Also, I miss having a whole house vacuum- those things are awesome! My family had one put into our house back in the late 80s and I thought it was the coolest thing ever as a kid!
That's so funny you should mention that. I was trying to explain that concept to my kids today!!
Suzy Quzy926 it’s funny that Lou mentioned that hers was a whole house vacuum because I haven’t thought of one in years!
Central vacuuming. A house where I babysat had them & a condo I rented... but they didn't supply the hose so I was never able to use it.
Great way to wake up after a bad night! You always brighten my day. Thank you. xo
OMG, that thing is SO loud! Your neighbors are going to think the Klopecks moved in...
If your hair tangles in it the suction is to high
Hi Lou, could you try this on someone you know who has long (waist length'ish), curly hair? I'm wondering if it will straighten it the same while tangling it more, which is usually the case.
😂😂 I would NEVER use this!!! Hysterical!!! You sure have it a good Go!
Great video love you lou ❤️
I was the first one to comment ha haaa YEAH MANN and to like it 😌😁😌
Love you too!

Only a moron would waste 400$ on that contraption. MAYBE if it was compact, but it just isn’t worth it.
I don't understand people who wash their hair every day.
How much did u paid for it?
You don't have greasy hair, if i don't wash daily i look like i used crisco as a styling product, no exaggeration, my hair also soaks up hairspray and i can literally shellac it to my head helmet style and 6 hours later run my fingers through it with few snags, it sucks out loud
You are hilarious. It feels like you are on a job site with all the noise and turning on & off 🤣
That is too much work to dry the hair. It would go good at a beauty parlor but not at home. I didn't know they made such a device.
My dog loves bubble wrap but she just pounces on it over and over again.
I’m early! I feel like I haven’t watched one of your videos in a while! Should be going to sleep, but I’ll watch this first 💗

all I could think about the whole time was the Suck Cut on Waynes World.
but I did send the video to my niece, she's a licensed beautician and I think she would love this.
And so convenient for travel 😂
Hahaha!
Pam W 😂😂😂
It has it's own luggage, if you can afford the machine you can pay that extra bag fee too!
Omg, I thought my dog was the only one that went bananas with bubble wrap :) That blow dryer looks scary, lol!
Forget that suck dryer thing, what vacuum cleaner do you have? I need a new one!
Aye a panic at the disco shirt! ✨
I was laughing so threw this whole video 😂 she’s funny
This was the best review yet! I’m literally crying 😂especially when you used your own vacuum. 😮
Thank you because I was wondering this 😂 just ordered one for my daughter ❤
Can it work on short hair?
I agree with everyone else. Thank you for making us laugh. You dont know how much we need it. Your hair looked amazing and just watching you holding it made my arm hurt lol
Lol!! Again your humor is fantastic. Sounds like this is a great concept. I am sure they could find a way to make it more compact and user friendly. Maybe slighter bigger than a normal hair dryer
I nearly peed my pants I was laughing so hard... I'm not joking. Thank GOD for all those Kegels!!! You are hilarious!
I really liked the RevAir. Just wish it had a curling attachment or something! Luv u Lu!
I knew this was going to be entertaining as *BEEEEP*
lol
Loved it
I do like how your hair looks afterwards, but it seems cumbersome to use.
Lou you’ve left me nearly speechless🧐, and that’s no easy task for sure🤓!
That smile when she pulled that first part out of the box. Lololol
I lost focus on the product... yes on meds for that 🤣
You were hilarious. Thanks for review
its great for tight curly hair
OMG i loved your review SUBSCRIBED!!!
Wheres the vaccumm cleaner from the thumbnail
“Don’t tell me you didn’t want to see me do that” 😂😂
Does have heat?
Finally, a blog dog person 💁🏽♀️💃
Aw, I love Abby! I wish I had had something like this machine when I was in middle/high school. Straight styles were in, and I was cursed with wavy curly hair.

I'm loving your nail polish matching the trim on the Rev. Just sayin'...
Wow like vacuuming your head lol loud! But uh I want a diffuser

My dog loves the ‘big’ bubble wrap. Loves to bite it to make the bubbles pop. 🐶
I don't see volume but it definitely works
Oh my God tell me what I was thinking of doing the same thing I have my Dyson vacuum LOL
You always crack me up & make me smile! ♥️ It's nice to finally get a chance to get sucked instead of always having to blow 😏😜😂 But I was wondering if you bought this yourself or if the company sent it to you to review?
The company sent it to me.
Cumbersome ridiculous expensive flat hair no control of style direction
Can’t wait till I can get it..
Suck and blow mean the same thing??
“We’ve got something that sucks” 😂😂
When you put that thing on your face I was like 'NNNNNOOOOO its going to leave a hickey!!' Imagine explaining that to people LOL
Looks and sounds and operates like something that belongs in the garage, not in my bathroom. Hearing protection anyone? Loved the video...thanks.
LOVE YOUR P!ATD SHIRT!!
I want it but it’s so expensive 😓
"Sucks and blows... although those two mean the same thing." Lolololol
#Louism - "Don't tell me you didn't want to see me do that." Bwahahaha! We except nothing less Lou! Thanks for the humorous and informative review.
