I always got the impression that it was in fact pre planned, largely due to production's disappointment in people like David (MvGX) going home at final 3. The stupid part, however, was them keeping it a secret "twist" for that season, instead of telling the players early. If the other players know about the firemaking challenge on HHH, literally nothing changes. By the time anyone takes the shot at Ben, he's able to Ben Bomb his way to final 4 anyway. Just a terrible production decision that made them look far sketchier than they probably were. Same goes for Ben's idol finds. As seen on both the season of winners at war, and the post show press, Ben is just REALLY good at susing out where productions might be hiding idols
@@morbidpanda25 I had the exact same thought. People blame Ben for final four fire making, but it was clearly David that inspired a second chance for the most deserving winner to actually get a chance to win.
I’m surprised Danielle and Circe from Survivor Exile Island wasn’t on here. The fire making challenge didn’t even finish during the episode it started on and eliminated Cirie from the game, so close to the end, where she almost certainly would’ve won up against Aras.
The Palau fire making created two things for survivor. The first was exile island with Stephanie for that one night and the other was not giving the contestants matches. Those are the only good things to come from Ulong.
This video might have been made before it aired, but in a recent Survivor season Heidi made it to the end and won the last immunity challenge, but decided to give up her immunity to build fire and improve her resume (since she was considered a goat to some). And she ended up setting the fastest fire making record on Survivor. She still lost the vote though lol.

Ahh yep, I knew #1 would be #1
Just because they kept doing it after Bens season doesn’t mean it wasn’t done originally to keep him on the show🤷🏾♀️
Seems unlikely they'd make up a twist mid season as blatant favouritism then despite the controversy keep it permenantly.
@@mnm1273 the controversy would be EXACTLY why they kept it. Makes them look better if it's a permanent change.
The Palau fire making created two things for survivor. The first was exile island with Stephanie for that one night and the other was not giving the contestants matches. Those are the only good things to come from Ulong.
where on earth is deshawn and heather? it was actually two seconds apart. granted erika still had the win on lock- it was still crazy to watch
we now have heidi from 44 to do it too
This video might have been made before it aired, but in a recent Survivor season Heidi made it to the end and won the last immunity challenge, but decided to give up her immunity to build fire and improve her resume (since she was considered a goat to some). And she ended up setting the fastest fire making record on Survivor. She still lost the vote though lol.
I thought Becky vs Sundra at 1 was a joke but nope it’s there (I’d probably have Tony vs Sarah at 1)
Fire making was made to favour alpha males because that’s Jeff Probst’s fav archetype…
In WaW, I’m just mad because neither Sarah or Ben made FTC
I wanted the jury to ream into them so baaaaad
4:25 what about the one with Boston Rob and Elizabeth on IOTI?
😂😂😂
I think when you're against a pair like Tony and Sarah, your best move may be going to FTC with both of them. At least than the votes might split.
i'm still upset over Devens losing that one in 38.
Do a winner ranking soon(all 42 winning games)
Sam vs. Teeny
Man Nathalie and Michelle had no shot against Tony or sarah
3. I will risk my game to take out the best player this season. If it works, I win.
2. I have to play fire with my best friend. Whoever wins this wins the game.
1. How to make fire?
Yoooo awesome 😮
Tony won, but at what cost?
wait why does he never say chris’ name?
who's Chris?
I don't know, it's a stupid joke, and what's funny is, the joke doesn't even make sense, you'd make it about someone invisible, but in actuality, he wasn't, even after his elimination, we either got a lot of confessionals from him or about him on the edge, also, he most likely gets back in the merge if it weren't for those 30 knots
Come on, 41 deserves that #1 spot
Incorrect! The best move by a third place boot is J’Tia dumping the fire and surviving the vote.
J'Tia is a fourth boot, actually! (Brice was third that season.) Otherwise I'd agree 😂
Jeff should've just kept it a final 2 and eliminated both Becky and Sundra.
Why is “Cops R Us” unfortunately named?
Great list by the way
How is it unfortunate?
@@IceW0lf198 that’s what I’m asking. He said in the video “the unfortunately named Cops R Us”
I don’t see why that’s unfortunate
Chris won. Devens lost. It's been enough time. Say his name. Anyway, Devens got that Sia pity money.
They should of never had comebacks at the final 5…
Actually fire challenge sticking after Ben vs Devon proves all these theories even more because if you don’t want to be too obvious about it you act like it’s part of the plan lol
You wouldn't keep firemaking for that many seasons if it wasn't the plan.
Practice makes better not perfect nobody in nothing is perfect it's an impossible concept
I like it but the music gets too dang repetitive
I’m kinda disappointed you had to throw so much dirt at Chris Underwood. The guy deserved it and played well his second time
Chris played 39 days just like every other winner did.
He survived 39 days, he played 6. I respect his win for the finale, but let’s not get it twisted.
@@jkingisbeast It depends on how you define days played. In this instance, I believe played is the number of days until they leave EoE
Just like every other winner... yeah no. Even Ben PLAYED for 39 days, not 6 days like Chris.
@@jkingisbeast What you and I think is irrelevant. The producers decide what counts as officially playing and as per the official rules of Survivor, Chris played an official total of 39 days. Those are the official facts.
Fire making sucks. Ben and Tony shouldn’t even be winners (well Tony 2x winner) because they only won because of fire making. Without it they would have been voted out it’s literally not fair
But it exists so we could have winners like Ben and Tony. Think of how many people got eliminated at final 4 that were clearly the most deserving to win, like David or Spencer. They could have won if fire making at final four existed.
@@rokeYouuer but remember it’s a strategic and social game. You can’t just get your way to the final four and then be like oh I’m good I’ll just make fire. If you get to final four and you’re out of options then that’s how it is. You didn’t plan properly and it’s showing. That sucks get on the jury you did this to yourself
@@Uniquanators47 By that logic, having a F3 instead of a F2 "isn't fair." Hell, having Immunity Challenges "isn't fair."

@@rokeYouuer if you’re at final four, and you’re absolutely being voted out if there’s a vote, then you don’t deserve to be at the end, at all. That means you didn’t plan properly, you didn’t manage your threat level, and your lost your allies
@@grafzeppelin4069 final 3 is fair it’s been happening since season 13 and it was a great twist. While it doesn’t always give us this, it stops the physical threat from just taking the floater goat to the end and winning. Gives them a challenge
Do we have to listen to you Luke?
Youre allowed to talk about Chris without being annoyingly condescending yknow
How does the fire making staying around prove that production didn’t just want a Ben win? They like that the challenge beast threats can win all the way to the end. If anything, it enforces that theory
Right? If anything, making it stick around is them trying to make it look legit.
Still sus, especially after Ben "found" an idol in the spot he would always go and sit in to think about his wife.
He just perfectly fit the American narrative of "veteran overcomes his weaknesses to win"
First?
Okay you’ve used the Chip joke too many times now switch it up
Hated Season 35's. I understand why it's on this list, but it was so clearly rigged for Ben
It was intended to be on season 34 and a twist like that doesn't become a staple of every season afterward cuz it was rigged for 1 person (which it wasn't)
@@cocosolis8240 makes me wish it had been on Season 34. Jeff seemed WAY too happy when Ben won that firemaking challenge (which basically meant he won the game). I know there's no direct proof that the game was rigged for Ben, but the amount of crazy luck he had in getting to the end (when in any prior season he would've been gone no matter what) is beyond extraordinary.
@@moviemaniac14 I stand by the fact that bob and Chris U are both luckier winners than Ben, but the edit certainly didn't do the rest of the final 7 of HHH any favors
@@cocosolis8240 that is true. Natalie White and Erika were 100% screwed over by the edits they received for their seasons.
