Live here and have done this trail many times, but the strangest time was a Sunday and we had come in from above the Eye and were sitting on top beside the Eye when from below appeared 2 older couples...50ish?...in their Sunday-go-to-meeting clothes and shoes...the women were wearing SAS shoes! We were flabbergasted they had made it up there in those shoes and clothes after having to inch their way around a very narrow ledge and then stoop over to go through a tunnel cave. Kudos to those peeps. Wish I knew who they were.
The trail exhausted me just by watching y'all hike the trail heh!! Lots of nice water falls and crossing!! Good advice on taking 2 pair of shoes and a walking stick or two!! *Have a good'nnn!!
Great video! I did this hike and it almost killed me. I told myself I would never return to the Eye of the Needle, but this video makes me want to go back.

My brand new wife and I almost died here November 12, 1995. A long and complex story. It was a very sobering experience; and it defiantly left a mark.
Simply amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!

geargriden19 yeah, we were pretty sore the next morning. Slept well that night though.
Love the video!
This hike has been at the top of my Arkansas list since I first learned of it. Just waiting now to schedule a trip to Arkansas.
James Smith, The Quiet Hiker it’s worth the trip but it’s a very intense hike. And yes it can be very dangerous
