I was having trouble with my turret as it was also going into E stop every time it indexed. I got helpful advice from Tormach and it solved the problem only for it have another: it was not locking fully at each index. What this video does not reveal is that BEFORE you adjust the lock switch, the turret has to be in the FULLY LOCKED position (regardless of what index position you are in). The way to fully lock it is to grab the timing belt from the top and give it several hard tugs to the right. Provided the turret is loose, you should be able to feel it locking at each tug to the point where you can't go any further. After that, THEN you can adjust the lock switch by sliding it to the right until you hear the faint click of the switch that turns off the indexing cycle. Then tighten the 2 screws on the switch. That should do it.
I can't see inside the turret but what I believe this does is that the lock switch goes off by a cam inside the turret. If the cam is not at a certain height, it will not lock the turret fully. So, first, it's important to have the cam at the right height (this occurs when you tug the belt as I mentioned to the fully locked position). THEN the lock switch can be set accordingly to shut off AT that locked position. It worked for me. Perhaps Tormach can amend this video on this issue.

On mine the switch position was fine but the motor had not enough starting torque. Tormach send me a larger capacitor and all is good for the past 5 years now.

Is there something similar to this in the black casting turret. Our turret has stopped spinning all together and estops itself. I can hear the electronics clicking on and off but the turret doesnt spin? Thanks

With either the Gen 1 or Gen 2 turrets, the turret not spinning is indicative of either a lubrication issue (if you can hear the motor trying to turn) or a control board/wiring issue (if the motor is not trying to turn). If you do have good resistance through the two fuses on the turret control board, check the wiring harness from the turret to the electrical cabinet for damage, if there is no damage there may be an internal issue with the turret control board.
If you open up a support ticket we'd be happy to help walk you through more troubleshooting steps.
