There is no linear time in the afterlife. Therefore, when on the other side, they have to chose at what point of time to come back to visit us at. I have a theory that you can meet all your soulmates from all your lives, not just from this life. So it doesn't matter if you end up alone in this life because you have thousands of soul families who love you. And as you get used to your other selves, you can change your settings at any time. (ex. if you loved the city in this life but the country in another life, you can switch back and forth.) You would reunite with those from your current life first, and then your soul would expand to meet everyone else.

He connects most with his most recent life but remembers the other ones, One might reincarnate with the same soul family again so the people are all somewhat familiar. He created a house to live in at first with his thoughts but does not feel the need for that anymore.
