    Hey Matt, need your help, I have the same hair texture as yours (thick coarse) and usually go for a messy separated / textured look. I'm currently using MM Chrome and looking to upgrade into something with a healthier natural looking finish and reasonable hold. Based on watching your previous videos you would suggest Fuertes Clay, Clutch Clay and Stickmore Clay, which one would you suggest?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of those three, Fuertes probably has the most natural looking finish and leaves my hair feeling really soft. Clutch and Stickmore have stronger hold and a bit more matte finish, and a slightly heavier presence in the hair.

    How does this compare to blue-lagoon and fuertes sea salt spray? I really would like to hear your thoughts on what would work best for someone with 4-5 inch fine-medium hair trying to go for a quiff.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Boost and Blue LaGoon have similar results, Boost maybe more hold though. The Fuertes spray is less in the world of hold and more just a classic texture product, but without drying the hair.

    I’m using PreGame now. Do you recommend me trying this cream? What’s the main difference? Or maybe Arcadian Matte Paste? Which one is your personal favorite?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Stickmore cream is immediately dry/matte where as Pre Game takes a while to transform. Both have a really strong hold but for me Pre Game works a bit better. I haven't tried Arcadian Matte Paste yet so I can't really speak to that one at this point.

    I really have to be careful when a product was claimed as dry finish because it’s just going to make my frizz hair become worst. I have tried using anti-frizz serum as pre-styler, but I found that the styling product would be less gripping. Any suggestion?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could finish the style with a touch of shine spray or good quality hair spray (I’m a huge fan of Kenra shine spray). Or, you might be better going with more of a “natural shine” styling product so it will be less dry.

    Grrrreat review, Matt! Quick question though: do you only start using your round brush once the hair is already dry or can it be used on wet/damp hair as well?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Vincent! You can start using it while the hair is still a bit damp, but it works best if your hair is about 75% dry before you start styling. If it’s still too wet, it won’t hold the shape well.

  • @jacstylez

    Can you use that tonic as like a regular health tonic? Like use it at night and sleep with it?

    I tried the Stickmore Clay Fiber and I felt the scent was kinda similar to Dior Sauvage too.
    How was the washability on the cream? The clay fiber was a nightmare to get out of my hair. 4 shampoos later it was still clumping up my hair.

      Use the conditioner method man, get yourself some Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist, put it in your hair 5-15 minutes before a shower, and that will strip out 90-100% of pretty much any product, anything left can be taken out with a normal shampoo after. I use a lot of heavy oil based pomades and this method strips them out no problem, the Clay Fiber is nothing when using this method.

    • @Ophius
      @Ophius 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@garrettmcgrath2144 That makes sense. It's getting increasingly hard as I try products and they turn out to be very bad at washing out. Could always use the conditioner too.

    What are the differences between the tonic and 25 spray

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to describe but they behave very differently in my hair. They do share some similarities in things like added volume, soft hair and a healthy shine. But Boost definitely has grip and feels very different in the hair than 25. 25 feels more like a lightweight leave-in conditioner, and has ingredients to do some other stuff like color protection and anti-frizz etc. Both are great!

    How does your hair not curl up at the end of the day? When i'm done w my hair (after straightening it with a hairdryer), it just starts to curl up after an hour. Do you live somewhere that is not humid?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It gets pretty humid here in the summer. Usually I do okay as long as I use a fair amount of product and stay out of the heat as much as possible lol. Finishing with an anti-humidity hair spray or shine spray can help too.

      @@TDMStyle wow, dude, I just got it yesterday! This is THE BEST hair styling product I've ever used man! I LOVE the matte finish! It's matte but does not really feel dry at all, and then once it's in, it becomes SO smooth and it holds the style SO WELL! SO light!
      Rinses out with just water!.. You were right!
      And the next day, I just slightly dampen my hair, and use the blow-dryer for a few seconds, and BAM, looks awesome again!
      It doesn't get greasy the next morning like most products do.
      For someone like me, with medium long hair with medium to fine texture hair, this adds a HUGE amount of volume by using a tiny pinch as a pre-styler! AND it thickens the hair too! Crazy awesome!
      Texture feels like a clay, but then there is no clay inside haha simply AMAZING!
      I've been a fan of morrocanoil texture clay, still am, but this is even better than that, at least with my hair type and length. I also liked Pre Game from the salon guy, but what I dislike about that one, is the fact that you've got to wait a while before the waxy shiny look dissappears and the matte look comes in.
      This stickmore styling cream is the BOMB man! Will work amazingly with all hair types imo.
      Thanks again for this awesome review my brother! I was gonna get the shear revival matte paste, which I'll still try, but I feel a creamy one like this stickmore may be much easier to apply in medium length hair that's medium thick.
      Anyway, really digging this styling cream man! Really happy I saw this review!
      You're awesome brother 👍🏻
