I’m also sharing Buster opening his Christmas gifts. He gets so excited. I decided to start deconstructing Christmas. What a chore! 😜

Buster is so adorable & was so cute opening his presents!! That James is a mess! I didn't do any decorating. I'm not able, and besides being alone I just didn't have it in me. I get such a laugh out of Buster! You can tell he's king of y'alls castle! Hugs from VA!

LOL!!! James is too much! Loved seeing Buster opening his gifts. I have been storing away my decorations for the past 2 days. I told my husband the same thing, that putting it up is faster than taking it out. Then I decided to purge some unused stuff from the past 32 years and also organizing and repacking. Hopefully I'll be done by tomorrow night. Normally, I like to have it packed away and the house cleaned by Jan 1. Glad to be feeling good enough to get it all done this year (except for the total house cleaning)! Is Buster afraid of fireworks? My 2 golden doodles are terrified of them! Oh well, happy New Year!
He’s such a mess but so much fun…😂. It feels good to purge and clean. Buster could care less about the fireworks. They don’t bother him at all. Thank God for that too because there is always someone shooting off fireworks..😄

My husband took down the decor and is now riding the lawn mower mulching leaves. Lol 😂

Good morning I too have been putting away my Christmas. I did the same thing and got several bins to Make things easier for next year by putting rooms into each bin And I wrote myself notes and pictures to help for the next year have decorating. I love to decorate for all the seasons but it makes me feel more relaxed to go back to work knowing my house is back in order. Looks like your Buster got as many gifts as our ginger. I also surprised my husband with a gift that he had been wanting a guitar I think I was more excited and filled with joy seeing his face when I gave it to him but he was so happy it was something he wouldn't have bought for himself. Happy New Year!

Awe, I know what you mean. I love giving gifts. James never buys the “fun things” for himself. Buster had so much fun.
It feels good getting back to a routine. I think our future selves will thank us for taking the extra time to organize our decor. ❤️
I was really happy to see your video today, and it was good to have you back. I loved watching Buster Christmas morning with his presents. It was obvious how excited he was. I’m glad you had such a calm and relaxing Christmas, especially after all the business going on prior to it. Ours was quiet and very low key as well because we were both sick, but fortunately life is back to normal now.

Girrrrl, I had my decor down a couple days after Christmas. Ain’t nobody’s place to say how long it needs to stay up. I use lots of winter decor, as you do, so that stays up. Love you, sister-friend

I'm one of those that takes the Christmas tree down after my birthday Jan 4th. I just enjoy sitting and looking at the twinkling lights. I always wish to see a little snow before I take the outside lights down. It's so pretty! Take your time, It's your home, you do you.

I’ve always taken my down after Christmas. I enjoy it while it’s up but once Christmas is over, I’m ready to take it down. I do leave a few winter pieces up. ❤️
OMG! My husband told me NO more bins if you need more than you have to much stuff but he didn’t say stuff if you know what I mean🤣😂🤣. I normally start to take stuff down after new year and that comes along with a big clean as well. It’s your home you take it down when ever you want. My neighbor took hers down the day after Christmas. So nice to see you again. Have a Happy New Year! Have a blessed day. Til the next video❤️🙏🏻
I know exactly what he said… 😄. They just don’t understand. It takes up extra space to pack everything properly so we might need extra bins for that reason 😉. I actually busted 2 of my bins so I really did need them 😂

I will leave my Christmas up until the end of January. January 6 marks the end of the 12 days of Christmas! It took me forever to get it decorated and going to enjoy it for a while!

I am one that does not get christmas decor put away til later. But today did pick up the extension cord to the lights on the fence & put away. The Santa that was in front of the front yard lightpost & green garland & red bow on post are put away. :)
I started taking some of mine down also. But, I’m leaving my pine garland, pine cones and white lights up. I’m doing a winter approach to my decor this year. The white lights are so pretty . It is snowing at my house now. With all the leaves off the trees, the white lights bring a little joy into my home. It takes me awhile to undecorate and redecorate. It doesn’t take many trips up and down the stairs until my back gives out so slow is fine with me. Donna, I’m in the fat zone and starting from square one. 🙄 I’m going to start trying to help myself starting Monday. I may have to have a prayer meeting over me. Determination is good, but God is better. I really wish we was neighbors. We could talk decor and healthy stuff and have a grand ole time.😜 I would stick my head out the door and holler Donna help!😂

Hi Donna! It’s nice to see your videos! Honestly, I took down my Christmas on the 26th. This holiday was really tough with it being the first Christmas without my husband, and the decor just made me sad this year. Also, my youngest daughter and husband were going to host Christmas dinner, but she contracted Covid the Saturday before so that got cancelled too. I am soooo looking forward to a new year. Your home looks cozy! As far as the mirror goes, whatever as it is an antique and those flaws work with the look!❤

I leave my main tree up til New Year’s Day. But other trees are down or coming down and my Santa’s and other items. I did my mantel for winter with white feather boas, white lights and my ice skating tree. I sat my husbands skates up there too that he had from high school.
I keep some snowmen out too until end of Feb.

Hey Donna, I have been taking down my Christmas a little bit each day since the 26th…whew it is much more fun putting it up then taking it down. Doing it a little bet each day has helped me be more mindful in packing it away. I love your mantle, I know it will be hard to put it away. Little Buster with his presents was just precious . Your home is just Beautiful you do an amazing job decorating . I to need to take things down and get back to normal . That means I need to go thrifting . I like to change my fireplace mantle so thrifting is how I get the things I need . We have a goodwill outlet here in West Virginia and I find a lot there. You pay by the weight and it is real cheap love it. I hope you and James and Buster have a Happy New Year God Bless love ya’ll

I started taking down Christmas but trees stay up til New Year’s Day. You can get mirrors resilvered as have had done to antique dresser mirror.

Wish I had your energy! I’m still in Christmas mode, because we’re having our family Christmas gathering on Saturday. I’m missing that quiet time between Christmas and New Year’s this time. It’ll probably be mid January before I start taking down because this girl needs a rest.

How sweet love Christmas morning James was like a little boy getting his gun he gave that little boy grin lol little Buster so sweet , we’re talking it easy too been in pjs all day ❤ your a head of me lol I’m not talking my Christmas down til this coming wk I’ve enjoyed it so much this year & I swear it’s like we were moving the decor I took out to put Christmas up all my totes are packed full of regular decor to put bk out 😂 I’m gonna leave my pine trees out & some of my pine picks & I may leave my flocked garland above my curtains I use tabbacco sticks for curtain rods lol I don’t know yet just through winter I’ve gotten treasure’s since I put Christmas out that’ll be added in 😊 but i know once I start bring on the mess lol but I’d already made my mind up i’m packing bk up room by room & labeling the totes i always have to buy at least 2 every year it’ll be 3 this year 😂anyway sweet friend have a Blessed New Year’s ❤

Don’t feel too bad about your mirror you’ll figure something out. In the meantime, put it back in the corner where you had it keep a race hung on it and maybe change the ribbon for the events for the holidays that you were celebrating until you can get it fixed.

It does feel bare after having ip Christmas. We normally don’t do gifts but if we know something the other person wants, we will get it. He did get me an Apple Watch and I’ve ordered several accessories for it. ☺️

We would never hurt any animal even if they do bug me sometimes…😄. I’m upset over the mirror but I am gonna try to “fix” it. I have to have things here that fill me up when I break the fast. It’s easier than I thought it would be for me but I get it’s not for everyone. I love WW. Such an awesome program. It’s so doable regardless of your lifestyle. ❤️

Good morning! Took my decorations down on Christmas Day (it’s my bd too so the end of the day is my celebration😊). So sorry for your mirror…maybe find an overlay type decoration to put over it? I hang baskets over a couple of my mirrors and put seasonal picks in them. Thanks for sharing your time with us - enjoy the rest of 2023. Happy 2024!!!

Love your decorations. I don't take my decorations down until the 12 days of Christmas is over. So on January 6th my deep cleaning begins!
I also leave my decorations up until 1/6. Though, over the years, it has evolved to a more wintery, rustic overall look.

Hello Donna, I also took my Christmas decor down. 1 month is long enough for me. I put it up Saturday after Thanksgiving, and I take it down the 26, the 27th of December 😊

Good Morning! I was so glad to see you had a video this morning. Looks like you and James had a nice Christmas. I haven't started yet to deconstruct. I usually take down everything but the tree. Girl, I am in it with you on the getting back to eating healthy. Ugh, it's always a hard start for me. I don't have a lot of support because I am the only one that struggles. I am borderline diabetics, BP & cholesterol. So, diet and exercise is a key factor for me. We can do this together. Hope you have a Happy New Year ! Buster xoxoxo.
