Hey girl congratulations on your internship and I hope everything goes well for you🙏❤ I have a question for you - would you say you are efficient and good at typing? And can typing affects your coding skills?
Thank you so much!❤️ yes I’m quite fast at typing, but it doesn’t necessarily mean if you don’t type fast you won’t code well. Many coding platforms even have auto-complete now… you can also Google free websites that help with improving your typing speed 🌸

I know a lot of Basic Java concepts, Im currently in G12(17 yeas old) hoping to get int UCT, would u say I’m progressing in the right way? What would u recommend I do at this stage and age that I’m in right now🥹?
hey. yes. if you do comsci at uct, youll do java in 2nd semester. id advice that you learn python 1st thou.
Definitely! Well done on starting so early… I’d say start doing personal project and create a portfolio that showcases your skills. That way you can have something to show when you apply for student internships. There are also free Google courses you can do. Do them and add them to your LinkedIn profile. At UCT they start with Python though, so I’d recommend that you learn Python as well 🌸

Hey I think it took about a month or two, and no I didn’t have personal projects.
during which window of the year does the internship take place? or are there multiple internship periods?
im interested to know what IDE you guys use and which language.
