To me Celinr Dion's timbre is like a box of 8 Crayola crayons and Fabian's the 120 Deluxe set.

This song stayed at tje first position in the radios here Brazil for like 8 weeks, its sold more than 2 millions unities. It was also the most played song in Brazil (2000). Lara came and we fell in love with her, she sang this one and other very famous song of hers by that time (I will Love again) in many TV shows. She is Always so kind with everyone.

Lara would definitly sing with Céline, they recespect and apreciate each other. All the label competion between the two as nothing to do with Celine or Lara, it was between their team (in the office floor) and Lara said that she would love to sing with Céline cause she apreciate her very much, and Céline apreciate Lara as well. Still a management thing i guess.

My deepest sympathy to Celine Dion's present health problems. Ms. Dion undoubtably deserves her place of honor on the Mr. Rushmore of great female vocalists. My most fervent wish is for her to completely recover so we may all enjoy her performances for many years to come. Ironically it is that much sadder that she and/or her entourage felt it necessary to punch down and attempt to stifle the career of a fellow artist Lara Fabian. Celine's magnificent vocal skills stand on their own merits and no perceived prospective "competition" could diminish her success. In her own deepest thoughts now I hope she keeps one word in mind...KARMA. Humility and generosity of spirit can only enhance one's god-given gifts.
I decided to listen to the original of this song by Wynonna Judd. And that moment in the first verse that I think everyone says sounds like Celine is actually Lara's tribute to Wynonna. But people who listen to Celine and Lara aren't usually the same people who listen to Wynonna so they wouldn't make that connection. We can only compare a thing to something we know.
Now, I think Lara's version of this song is better by far, but Wynonna has a lovely voice suited to the music she sings, and as I said before, I think Lara is acknowledging that.

Salut à toi et à tout les autres aussi, tu peux réagir sur toutes les chansons de ce concert "From Lara with Love" il n'y a pas une micro seconde de déchet même ses respirations sont de la musique, et dire qu'elle chante divinement en plusieurs langues comme si de rien était et ça semble normal,alors que non, c'est vraiment difficile d'interpréter en 1 langue alors que dire en 4 ou 5 langues avec toujours comme devise (faire ressentir le texte à l'audience à travers la musique, une artiste complète, salut du sud de la France,André

En France, on lui a donné le statut d'une chanteuse à voix,, fociférant, quel gâchis, elle était un diamant à l'état pur.
Son concert, "en toute intimité" démontre sa grande qualité de chanteuse, ou un seul piano suffit à l'accompagner!
Du grand art, ou sa voix devient un instrument à part entière !
J'aime cette femme, pour ce qu'elle est, humainement, et pour ce qu'elle dégage comme interprète!

In 1988 Lara participated for Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest and Celine for Switzerland. Celine then won the festival. I do have a slight preference for Lara, although both are good singers.
