As much as I love vintage MOTU and wanted them completed as soon as possible, I am glad we got Turtles Of Greyskull instead. They are some of the best figures at retail right now. If only I could find Mer-man I would be happy.
@jasonking3182 Thanks for watching! I also feel the way about this Origins line. I want the rest of those vintage figures completed as well. But they aren't coming out too fast at this point. I'm also glad we got this Turtles of Grayskull line. They make up for the lack of those other figures for now. That new Mer-Man is also an exclusive to Walmart, I believe.

@somarriba333 This LeatherHead came out really cool for this TOG series. I like the head sculpt and colors the best! Yeah, that first alligator warrior I showed was from Papo. Oh my goodness ..When you placed his head on Sla'ker - the size of the Sla'ker body works so much better for this Leatherhead figure!! The proportions were spot on! Too bad the colors do not match up and we would have to customize an attachment for the tail. Leatherhead is also a deluxe figure in a windows box, so why would they not also use the Sla'ker mold? Feels like a missed opportunity.

They went with the 80s cartoon design for this figure but mixed with MOTU elements some what! So the size is ok. But a larger version would have been better!
This is an awesome-looking figure! I agree that I think the larger body would have worked a lot better on Leatherhead. His head seems almost absurdly big in a cartoonish sort of way. But I can sort of let it pass because he’s supposed to be a mutant. The helmet and armor designs remind me of something in MotU lore, but I can’t quite place it. I almost want to say they remind me of Blast-Attak? As for the head, I’m not sure which look I prefer, the helmet or the hat. That’s a tough one. I love that not only is his jaw articulated, but his “bear trap” accessory also has an “action feature.” They really went the extra mile for this one, and I appreciate that. I can totally see my kid loving this figure and using both the jaw and that trap to “chomp” on all of our MotU and TMNT figures! ~Damon
@FandomEntanglement Thanks for watching as always, Damon! I totally agree with all your thoughts on this figure. The overall design looks awesome in hand. The head certainly looks a little large on this body, but yet it still looks cool, and I can see that cartoonish style kind of like you mentioned. I think the larger vest and tail also help balance everything out on the smaller body. I kind of wish they went with a larger body similar to Sla'ker, but I think this design is going back to the 80s. Turtles cartoon where he was about this size. I personally like the Eternian helmet. I'm not sure if the design took some inspiration from Blast Attack. The Power Trap is always a really cool looking accessorie! I think it should have had the chain that was shown on the box art. I actually just added one now. I will show it in my next review. Aside from that, this TOG LeatherHead figure is a must-have! I'm sure your kid will love it. He definitely has that fun play value look.
You guys in the states are lucky to get these TOG figures. I can barely find anyone that stock these let alone the pre orders here in the UK. Otherwise the choice is Ebay scalpers.
@thepcgamer2169 Yeah, unfortunately, many of these figures are USA exclusives to Targets or Walmarts here. I get many of my figures from sellers on eBay for the cheapest cost I can find. The stores and driving here are aggravation. It's worth the extra money to me to just buy it and have it shipped to my house. Plus, I do it as an investment to this channel to have newer figures for review. Thanks for also checking out this review.👍
@@Themanchlid Good enough. i ordered my Mutant He Man from an Ebay seller ,thankfully the ebay seller sold me that for for £19.99 UK with free Shipping otherwise other ebay sellers wanted £30.00. Then i came across a another UK site where i paid £23.99 free shipping For the pre order Ninja stealth He Man which was a good price again. Amazon Uk Didnt really have much of a selection from the TOG range .Again nice review bud. 😀 .
@thepcgamer2169 That's good to hear! Believe me, if it was for eBay, I wouldn't have half the things that I do. You just have to be patient and look for the best price for free shipping and a seller with good feedback. Plus, eBay has the money garuentee on most purchases if your item doesn't arrive on the shipping dates. You open up a case in resolution disputes. I have purchased thousands of items from eBay over the past 25 years that I have been using that site. I probably had 50 plus items that were lost or showed broken. I always got my money back when I worked with the seller or opened a case.
This guy looks awesome. As much as I loved TMNT, I’m not too familiar with this character because I guess I stopped playing with toys when he first came out. But this is awesome nonetheless.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review, brother! Yeah, LeatherHead was very popular in some of those cartoon episodes. But he only showed up once in a while. There are different versions or designs for LeatherHead within the TMNT cartoons or comics over the years. He was smaller in the early cartoon, just like this Origins version. But then designed him really big later on. I think I would have liked that version instead. But this is still a great figure for this line!
@@Themanchlid this sub line is really surprising me. They’ve been releasing some bangers with these characters. I understand everyone, including myself, can’t wait for them to finish the vintage origins, but this is giving the line some longevity and we’re getting some good stuff out of it. This gets me really excited for the ThunderCats crossover. I love how they’re also dipping into the lore a bit more with geldor and demo man coming, and for sure a lot more in the horizon. I know it’s not everybody’s cup of tea, but we’re all very lucky to be alive during this time where masters of the universe is being represented like this. Can’t wait for Mondo‘s 1/12 scale 200X stuff as well. We’re so lucky.

I'm also looking forward to the Thundercats crossover next year. The Mondo figures look really cool. But im mot sure if I'm gonna collect those yet. I have enough going between the Origins, Classics, and Masterverse figures.
@@Themanchlid depending on how they look like, I only plan on getting the Heman and hordak if they ever get to it. To me 200X hordak is the best looking Hordak out there.

He looks really cool and can fit in with the regular Origins well. I think he also should have come with a big knife.

I only have ooze he man but not because I’m a truest &. Only buying orgins. But I collect joes, Star Wars and tmnt. Then some imports,.. I can’t keep up . But I got him, disappointed with his weapon selection. Come on Mattel he’s a hunter: net, rope shot gun, fishing rod cuffs. He could have got a Casey jones treatment in accessory department. Mattel did him right, im definitely getting Casey

I don't think he gets free toys as much as he used to when it comes to certain MOTU figures because he seems to review many of these newer figures a couple of months later now. Many collectors and reviews like myself who have the newer stuff early usually go on eBay to find these figures early for high prices! I only do it to have things for newer content. Pixal Dan still has a lot going and doesn't need the newest stuff early to generate more viewers. He has his own style and way to review, I guess. I don't know him personally. But we're all trying to be interesting and have fun making videos about MOTU or just cool toys. I just try to have fun and be myself with reviews. I'm far from professional, but I'm also trying to make every video a bit better and not lose myself trying to be the best out there! These reviews are a lot of work, and the toys are expensive! I appreciate all the support and hearing your feedback on my reviews!👍
