Love the ranking comparison across multiple categories. This really helped me decide which one to buy. I wish more knife reviewers did this. Thank you for your video.

Great video! I prefer the 21 by a slight marging over the 31 as well, mostly due to footprint and a little weight.

👍👍👍👍👍 Great comparison review. The 31 speaks to me. I like that Wharncliffe/ Sheepsfoot style blade. From top to bottom I like the wider handle easier for me to hold. We all have our likes and dislikes in a knife.

I have the fh31 and fh41 in g10 and carbon fiber. The carbon fiber One feels so much more sturdy when you flip it open compared to the g10 that it makes it a much better feeling knife in my opinion.

Excellent comparison review! I have the FH11 and want the FH21, Not a fan of the 31's blade shape but that's just me.

I've been carrying the FH-21 for about a week. It's so sweet. I still really like the FH-11. It's got just a bit more heft.

Must be my hands, I like a flipper acting as a bladeguard but on my FH-21 it just feels like it’s cramping my index finger. Learning to adjust my grip. Definitely with you on action, I wish my FH-11 opened a little faster but otherwise I love it. The steel is awesome, I put a crazy edge on it really easily and it’s held it well. Haven’t picked up a 31 yet.

I only own a 21. Insane value. I also wouldn't mind it being ground thinner.

Good review. I only have the FH21 but I chose it over the other 2 and haven't regretted it. Very happy with all aspects of the knife.

Thanks for giving us your take, on these three.
All really good knives, I agree. The way I ended up getting to my final conclusion. Was to spend some time playing with each of them, with my eyes closed. Focusing on action, comfort, and lock access. Once I did that. The FH21, did become a clear winner.

I bought the FH11 for the same reason I buy Ka-Bar Becker knives.
    I like simple design.
I'm a carpenter and even the FH11 is a bit fancy in our business so I ordered the all metal version

Nice review, I love Ganzo knives and so far have four for my collection, thinking hard about getting the FH21 next, but mine from #1 to #4, F753M1, F714, FH11, and FH61 I think the FH series is the most current. I'm not sure what the M1 refers to in my #1 there's also a F7533 that's a little larger.

Great review. I prefer the FH21. The FH11 doesn't interest me. The FH31 would sure be great for certain tasks. You didn't mention the finger choil. Big plus.

Good job.. but I think the low end score for 11 does not reflect how close they are in reality. I own 11 and 31.. and they are neck and neck.. 11 is an amazing knife. I tend to prefer it over 31 half of the time :)

    • @ShortcutReviews
      @ShortcutReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, I should have made it even clearer, the differences are minuscule between the 3, and all are good knives for the money.

As a left handed user I swap the points between the FH21 and the FH31 (Carry & Intangible) so the winner for me is the FH31

I would like to try the fh31, well, for the shape of the blade.
I have reviewed the fh11 in my channel and blog and it is good but i think i prefer the new sanrenmus.
    Regards!.

I like the looks of the 21 more then the 11, but in hand I much prefere the 11 over the 21 due to the hot spot the pocket clip give me on the 21, the "candy bar" shape of the 11 makes the clip far less noticable in hand for me. The 31 falls last for me in every area.

I thought it was just me! Oddly, it’s not just budget designs like Ganzo and Manly, but Hinderer do it too! Forgot to say, nice video.... I was cheering for the FH11, it has an oriental simplicity to it, but I don’t own any of them (illegal here), so what would I know? Actually the FH21 does look smart. The FH31 is way too aggressive for me.

I wasn't a huge fan of the FH11, even kind of disappoined. Everyone seemed excited about the D2 but me. When they released the FH21, money jumped out of my wallet to buy it. The design seems much better to me

About the FH31, it's not the shape I usually buy but I can see why other people would like it.

Sorry, no, the blade geometry of the FH21 can't be "fixed". Its not broken. Nor does it need to be changed. While its popular to be all "geewiz" over "behind the edge" thickness, it really means nothing. You won't feel it or notice it. The only time it really comes into play is when counting how many aggressive sharpening cycles the blade can withstand before the geometry changes significantly. An interesting fact is, assuming a flat grind, a blade has to be TALLER to be thinner behind the edge, all other factors being equal. Its geometry, or, as they say, its sure as math.

Len Zielenski you most definitely can feel the difference in cutting cardboard, apples and cigars.
