Currently residing in Bloem.... previous lived in PTA as well as CPT. Bloem is relatively affordable and friendly to live in not to mention theres less crime than the latter mentioned cities

@@mooshtaffa, maybe build an economy and make it attractive to investors? That's what the government needs to do. The economy is shifting to Cape Town, and the cost of living is too high. That's why we have people building informal settlements everywhere because they can't afford to pay rent and send money home. Housing and transportation is a problem. I am from Bloemfontein, and it pains me so much that I have to leave my family and look for opportunities elsewhere.
@@mooshtaffa I say that would be a good thing for SA making bloem the capital is good because bloem is in the middle of SA making it easily accessible from all provinces and a single capital would lead to more efficient decision ,making and if any surrounding state were invade it would hard for them to come in the capital .
@@priscillamt2476There's more people in Khayelitsha alone than in Bloemfontein, so you would have to find a way to move those people to Bloem, and people from Pretoria plus other neighbourhoods in Cape Town.

Judge President would have taken a flight paid by the state from Bloem to Cape Town to preside over the opening the formation of government. When the President goes to answer questions in Parliament he would fly from Pretoria to Cape Town, at whose expense? State funded of course Ministers have to account in parliament meaning they will travel between the two cities. How much money can be saved if it was all in one capital?

For that reason IFP being aligned to the Zulu Monarchy pushed for Ulundi to become the capital and in fact when IFP had strong influence in KZN, the provincial legislature was in Ulundi. But over the time ANC was pushing for the provincial capital and legislature to be at Umgungundlovu (Pietermaritzburg) citing travelling costs as Ulundi is not very central being in Nothern KZN. Eventually ANC won and the legislature is now In PMB. But before apartheid regime when Zulus were fighting wars with British, there was KwaZulu which was under traditional leaders control, and Natal which had British control and its capital was PMBURG
