Knowing what I know now and having gone through the program myself I wouldn’t hesitate to join one of these gyms were it not for the fact I have my own equipment and I’ve learned the lifts pretty well on my own. Well worth whatever they are charging. The mileage I got from reading the blue book and watching the starting strength content on TH-cam was pretty astonishing on its own. Having access to a coach and being a novice would be a game changer.
Had the pleasure of going to a squat / DL camp last weekend at Starting Strength Atlanta. What a great experience from the equipment to the coaches. Highly recommend going.

Can anyone tell me how much an SSC gets paid each year? It’s my understanding the gym owner pays him a salary and it’s not commission based on the amount of clients.
@@xmoogoox I appreciate you answering my question. Can you tell me how many members most gyms have? From what I’ve looked up it seems most gyms charge around $315 per month. Is that still the case?
@@nickt3169 no problem. Gyms charge between $315-455/month depending on the city. Most gyms cap out at around 100 in-person members (depends on the number of racks) plus a couple dozen online members.
@@jd0879 Not quite that much on the top end because most coaches are working low 30-ish hours per week. There are coaches getting close to six figures with ~30 hours in the gym plus online coaching. I've been doing SS in Boston for 6 weeks now. My first time ever doing this type of exercise, and I plan to continue. I appreciate this detailed description of the SS gym facilities and technology. I wish I'd seen it sooner, lol. I have only one complaint about this video. Please don't advertise your political beliefs (i.e., the T-shirt) if you want to attract new clients. I love seeing custom built equipment that actually makes sense; nothing cobbled together and everything done for a good reason.
Came for the insight, stayed for the ATF shirt 💪🏻🇺🇲

Tyler (owner) is a hell of a guy. It's going to be a great gym.
So well put together, what a clean setup👍
Much appreciated 👍
Where are the Starting Strength custom spec kettlebells to hold the doors open?
supply chain issues, they are coming next summer
I think those are only in WFAC

For those not familiar with Starting Strength gyms, not all locations have an assault bike. Some locations have a Prowler sled instead.
Which SS Gym has a sled?

Would like to open one up in Ga in the near future.
