      @@krillin1081 He's a phenomenal on ball defender and a pretty good team defender. He also gravitates tons of attention and he did a good job this game finding open teammates (especially Gobert) when they were open. He's no Jokic but he actually enables the team to do much more on both ends. That's not "doesn't do much except for scoring on offense".

    The crazy part isn't that Ant gets better from season to season every year, it's that he has also gotten better every season between game 1 and game 82. I've never seen a player improve as much as he has over the course of a season. It is all always up and up and up, which creates this feeling like we have no idea how good he can actually be. This kid is doing all this right now at 22 and he isn't gonna reach his peak for 4-5 more years. It's downright scary what he can become.

  • @ben_jammin9470
    @ben_jammin9470 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

    As a huge Wolves fan, the thing about Ant is that he's 22 and it shows over the course of an 82-game season. Too much reliance on hero ball in late game situations, and a penchant for heat-checking that can really disrupt the flow of the offense. Especially when he isn't hitting his shot, it can be painful to watch the offense stagnate.
    That said, this team team is first in the West because of Ant. When he's on (as he usually is in the playoffs), he's unmatched on both ends of the court. Personally, I can't wait to see him at 26. We've seen him develop his attention to detail on defense, his shot diet is vastly improved from his rookie year, and his overall preparation took a leap last year. Now, his next step is figuring out how to limit TO's and to play within the flow of the offense.

      @@bustatron yeah, look, I understand that you watched the off-the-backboard alley-oop and decided to watch a highlight reel, but if you actually watch Ant then you’d know what I’m talking about. Last night was a prime example with a 5 TO game and a total offensive meltdown by the team as a whole in the fourth quarter.
      Second, more importantly, I’m not whining, and I love Ant as much as anyone. I think these are definite areas of improvement for an already great player. Maybe stop being such a sensitive casual.

      @@ben_jammin9470 I've watched every game ant has played as a professional.
      I've also watched Timberwolves for 30 years. Ant is doing what he is supposed to, creating shots. We have freeking Jordan 2.0 and the casuals like you want to turn him into a deferent passer instead of the eog killer he is... which is clearly incredibly foolish.
