it is not a bhajan group. darpana is a dance academy of Ahmedabad, India. first time in the history of bharatanatyam, choreography is done on sampradaya bhajans by its director Dr. Mallika Sarabhai

@Desi4evah your question is actually being answered. the performance is about Krishna(Gopala) and his dance with the Gopis. Thus, the one man here represents Gopala and the women- the Gopis :) That's the significance of the one man amongst the women.
