I just now installed one of these on a 2022 Bonneville T120. I purchased the CRG adapter for the one inch, stock handlebars. The adapter wouldn't fit inside the end of the bars because there's a non-removable plug to accomodate the end cap. However, I made it work. Trying it out tonight riding around town. It definitely gives me more rear view. I'm keeping the stock mirrors on also for the time being. I'll see how effective it is tomorrow in the daylight on SoCal freeways !!
Hi Marek, For stock handlebars that has the threaded insert inside of the handlebars, we have our Mirror Adapter that installs onto the thread insert, which acts as a receiver for a mirror to mount onto: britishcustoms.com/products/bar-end-mirror-adapter-flat Hope that helps!
Curious why these mirrors are called lanesplitters. They make the bike nearly 5 inches wider than it needs to be, effectively making it harder to lane split. lol Ive got these on my Street Twin and will be swapping them for upright bar end mirrors. Great video as usual though, very thorough.
I think they’re called lane splitters because they have that feature that allows you to fold them in. You’d do that when lane splitting, and then fold it out again when merging back into the lane. Does feel sketchy though to have no mirrors while lane splitting.
@@denniskoeter4673 Yeah thats a pain. These are already a pain because theyre so easy to bump. Im moving them back into place quite a bit. Theyre also lower and more difficult to see. Cant wait till my vertical mirrors arrive.
It's good for those looking for a bar end mirror solution that's more minimal and has that added function of articulation. We've used the function many times through the streets of Los Angeles and it worked out well for us, or even when storing bikes in tight spaces in our sprinter van or a workshop. On the other end, we've had bikes with beautiful bar end mirrors like the Motogadget Spy Mirrors positioned perfectly outwards to where we like them. With a similar virtual width as bars with the Lanesplitters, we found that we had to ride a little differently, swerving a little more splitting through LA traffic, hence rode a little differently as they are fixed.
@@denniskoeter4673 they fold in because they're designed to yield if you make contact, you wouldn't want to be folding and folding every time you start lanesplitting
Part of the kit that we sell, depending on which bar end style you've selected (Low Profile Bar Ends or Weighted Bar Ends). The bar ends shown in this video is the Weighted bar ends.
IDK who cam up with the front brake reservoir being de-evolved to the Mickey Mouse rubber hose thing, but I'd like give him a free rider on my size 11 right boot.
@@britishcustoms Thanks for the reply. I've seen yours, it''s better but still a compromise, and pricey for what it is. I'm going to look for a good setup used. There's no need for the res to be round or sticking up like like that. Looks like a giraffe in a convertible.
@@x-man5056 Would love to hear what you find. There are some similar but a lot made overseas which we've had people coming to us to see if they can salvage using some of our direct mount reservoir components.
@@britishcustoms Well, I haven't looked yet, but someone in Nevada has a box in their garage that has one in it waiting on me I'd bet. But I'm picky, it may take a while. Obviously it has to work AND look right. I'll come back and tell you about it when it happens. I have the BC De-Cat header pipes on my Triumph Street Scrambler. They are awesome, fit, look, and sound great.

Does the end cap come with the mirror or is it the original one that comes with the bike?

AKA the "pee cup". One of the first things we usually switch out to our Direct Mount reservoir.
