The most sense of roll catcher I think they could give him is a chase down like Afeeras that he can do start up, mid chain, or finisher, it either knocks them on the ground and guarantees a light or his regular bash mixup, no other kind of roll catcher would fit him or make sense IMO
Here's an idea for him: Rework his neutral bash into an Afeera one. Nothing else needs to change, and he gets something that closes the distance. Either that, or change the animation of his neutral bash into the sprint one (this [4:47]) so he leaps into the enemy for his attacks. This way, his bash _becomes_ the roll-catcher. (Add forward movement like a kick)
Maybe unique crushing-counter on his wind-up that can also deflect unblockables..? Alongside directable dodge-forward heavies (top is further reaching?) + enhanced follow-ups after a sprinting bash (like unblockables after a normal successful bash), of course to spice up anit-ganks. Great stuff as always, Faraam!
Tbh I miss conq's heavies being un-guardbreakable, also that zone attack that could block everywhere was amazing I miss it. First month conq was very epic
its like soheis forward dodge light as a "roll catcher," conqs lights have more forward trajectory, i have gotten some back dodgers with the second light in the combo but idk if itd catch jorms back dodge like at 0:48
They could make his rolll catcher kinda like JJs "Twofold Slash" sprint attack where he swings downward once with decent forward movement and then momentum brings the flail behind, up and over and gets more high roll catcher forward movement on the second stronger downward strike. Just a choreography idea to make it work.
Conq needed it a lot more than lawbringer did and seeing how they did low effort for the animations for lawbringers roll catchers they definitely could of given conq something this season

There are many hero’s that are in need. Many. After taking a year off I can’t believe this game is still so unbalanced. And they nerfed some low tier heros?! Insane. Valk? She is just about useless and she has been nerfed even more. Warlord? Jesus. Bash for damage and that’s about all you can do.
They at least have chase moves out of neutral, they both also have good forward movement on their moves and Nobushi has undodgables so rolling away from them isn't really an option anyway, Conq has none of that.
Conq should throw his shield on the ground and slide towards the enemy to chase them down.
Maybe do a trick or two
