Q.11 regarding contempt of court -- The first statement clearly mentions about an Act i.e. Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 and guess who must have passed it? Parliament obviously and now just look at the fourth statement which says that Parliament is vested with powers to make laws on CoC!!! So it's pretty much obvious that statement 1 and 4 should go hand in hand, thus only one such Option B.

Power of Lokshabha can be answered simply. Emergency will affect state powers. So along with LS, RS should be having some powers otherwise emergency issuance concet will degrade federal nature.
at the end of the paper I got so anxious that I started overthinking and marked 9 questions wrong... Mostly S&T because I thought they wont be giving so simple answer there would be some catch.. earlier I had marked them right..
so in the first question if you are to assume that REER has increased and has caused an appreciation in the rs then it clearly means export become competitive meaning trade competitiveness increases. so consider rs becomes 68 from 70 as a result of increase in REER (Rs appreciation) this would mean that the foreign firms will have to spend more than what they had to. meaning the exports reduce- and imports become cheaper. the trade competiveness defintely increases as a result. and no exchange rate and trade competitiveness do not have an inverse relation.
Thanks for it,actually teacher cannot openly promote such things but trust me this is must to achieve 100 marks, whoever reading my comment please look on these tricks to clear this exam but precondition is strong knowledge brackgroup.
the conundrum with elimination technique is, the method generally works in the easy or familiar types of questions(like polity, Modern History and Economics), i.e. in the topics where an average candidate has a decent static content, the same elimination technique doesn't work where it is required the most e.g. in topics of environment, S and T, Ancient H and A & C etc. (Not generalising anything but giving my own observation since I also gave 2022 prelims and faced the same problem during real exam).
I can understand that, which is why I keep saying (even in the video) to keep an open mind and think of examples to either prove or disprove a statement.
@@UPSCprepIAS Right. Also sir do you think the test series in the market can understand the actual exam pattern? I mean most of their questions are bizarre and too factual with little window for logical elimination.

Sir if exchange rate is increasing it means more ₹ is required to buy 1 dollar so it would lead to depriciation of domestic currency so how can 1st statement be correct
Please explain in question 2 whether you are talking about rupee per dollar or dollar per rupee in exchange rate determination. One of them will give correct answer (1&3) while the other one will give wrong answer (2&3). Without knowing that (in India) exchange rate is in terms of rupee per dollar how come u r claiming that this question can be solved?
Sir , in SRI question ,although your opinion about marking all three options correct seems logical , but in think if there is less water in the fields and there is alternate wetting and drying of the field ... there'll be more seed requirement as growth in these fields may occur in a scattered manner. Shed some light.
In SRI method question 3 options is right.....bcoz in normal cultivation of rice methane will produce bcoz of high usage of nitrogen and aneorobic condition.....and seed requirement is also reduced bcoz of space between plants
Sir i m confused in 1st question ….i do lot googling …there they said ..when exchange rate increase it means depreciation of rupee (Ex- said 1$=100Rs ,now increase exchange rate said 1$=105Rs ,,so it means depreciation bcz we have to pay more) …pls solve this doubt🙏🏻
Exchange rate means, value of one currency goes up in comparison to the other. e.g. rupee appreciates and dollar depreciates, so in terms of trade, import will become cheaper and export dearer and vice versa. The question was in terms of rupee appreciating and dollar depreciating. Hope this helps :)
I don't know if it answers your questions but you need to be clear about this. If you don't understand, just ask. But try to understand before asking 😂 It is important to know what currency is increasing. Exchange rate always involved two currencies. Eg: EURUSD. In this case, if the exchange rate increase, it means EUR is increasing and USD is depreciating. If the pair of currency is not mentioned, then we can't say which currency is increasing. Incase of increasing exchange rate, it means that (for this case) it will take more USD to buy the same amount of EUR. So, for someone in European Union, export of 1EUR product will become costlier for importers in US as they need to pay more USD for the product (which cost 1EUR). Thus, the export competitiveness is decreasing. By saying export competitiveness, we mean exporters trying to compete each other to offer products for lower price. (As we can see, European Exporter are indirectly not lowering but increasing their price, their export competitiveness is decreasing) Hope it helps. This is from my understanding. If it's wrong or needs editing, pls mentioned it👍
Btw let me answer the above questions as well. Here you gave $1=₹100. So the currency pair becomes USDINR. If the exchange rate increase, it means USD is value is increasing. This means with ₹100, you can't buy $1 anymore as USD value already increased such that 1$=₹105. This means you can buy $1 only if you have ₹105. That means that your Ruppe is depreciating(lowering in value). Everything acha hai?😂
Thus, if you say that the Rupee is appreciating against the dollar(INRUSD), it means the value of Rupee is increasing and the value of USD is decreasing. This means even with small amount of money, you can buy more Dollar. Note: Always use in pair when you talk about exchange rate(Rupees is appreciating against the dollar). Also note that (Rupee is appreciating against the Dollar and Dollar is depreciating against Rupee means the same thing). I hope everything is bahut acha 😊
Sir I have an small doubt about the sociology as I have seen your previous video about notes, reference and supplementary notes in that i have taken decision to cover paper 1 from UIAS notes but while going to purchase from Amazon how to identify the real notes because many notes are also avilable in website with different color so please clear my these doubt sir

So this is not a question that you will do in the 1st round. This is that question that you can do when you've got some time left and want to do a few more questions. Pressure situation mein nahi hoga I agree. But If you keep an open mind, you will notice the discrepancy between statements 2 and 3.
