    Thank you for working so hard, putting this together so we can all have a bit of fun on our instruments. I have a really nice pro sax from college days, really trying to get good on that before diving into an expensive purchase like this.

    Thanks to this and your other videos, I'm now confident the GO is what I want. Unfortunately, such instruments are hard to come by in my part of the world. Placed an order with the Roland distributor, now I have to wait 2-3 months! Hope to be playing by Xmas :D

    Thank you for the video. That was very helpful. I have the Thor app with the Patchman sounds as well as the Moog app. Because of the information in this video, I can use my Moog app for additional sounds. I am now going to look at my other apps to see if they will work with my GO as well.

    Hi Alistair! Love your videos!
    Would you look at doing a video on setting up the app, AUM, to work with wind synths? It’s a fabulous sound design tool that has tremendous capabilities, but I am a little flummoxed as to how to get all the synths on a global setting to respond to breath.

    I really enjoy your video on Aerophone Go. About the Cutoff Frequency, is there a way to modify the cutoff frequency on MacOS Garageband? Would it be possible that you add a video on how to best use MacOS GarageBand with Aerophone Go? Thanks.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't used Garagband really. If you can't find a way in Garageband you could try setting the Aerophone breath sensor to send CC74. Thats the default setting for many synths to receive cut off frequency control.

    Hi, thank you for all your videos, you are convincing me little by little to buy one Aerophone...I am deeply studying your channel in order to make a good choice! I have one question: do you know if this instrument can properly work also in Sample Tank and eventually in iSymphonic Orchestra on the Ipad? I am using those apps for my little compositions and it would be great to play their winds instruments with the Aerophone...
    And do you know also if the native app of the Aerophone can be used inside GarageBand app, as the two apps I mentioned before? Again thank you very much for your job!

      Hi. Thanks for watching. Sample tank I'm pretty sure can work fine. If you search that on TH-cam you'll probably find someone that already done that. iSymphonic I'm not so sure.

    Hi Alistair
    Do you know of any Android synth apps which could be operated by the AE-10?

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I must admit I really don’t know the Android stuff very well at all. I think most apps are on both platforms and the AE-10 will connect by usb. However I have heard of some Android devices having issues with latency. This is a problem with the sound on some Android devices I believe.
      Perhaps someone else here has more experience to share?

    Hello.
    Is it me, or the last versions of the Aerophone GO Plus App ripped off the USB connection feature to an only Bluetooth only way to go?
    I can’t connect it via USB nor in an Android Phone USB-OTG capable, nor in my new iPad Air with a micro USB to lightning connector.
    Any tips will be welcome.

    Enjoy yours videos! Because I have missing fingers I can only play Roland's basic aerophone. I really like the violin effect but cannot find anything close on Garageband. Do you know if it is possible to connect the aerophone to such a program but record the machine's own effects?

      Roland just released a software update for the AE-10 so there are still improvements being made.

    • @mikeellisonhimself
      @mikeellisonhimself 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben, if you mean a hardware update for the AE-10 I don't think so. There seem to be plenty in stock in the shops where for a product this old I would expect it to be hard to find. While stores still have stock to clear they wouldn't be happy to see a new version. It also means Roland won't see it as a very successful product. For that reason I'm not holding off buying because it looks like the AE-10 meets my needs and the odds of a new version aren't great.

      Hi. Instructions are on the Patchman website. I think as I remember you have to load them from the iTunes app on the computer when the iPad is connected but I might be wrong. Matt will certainly help you here.

      @@isax.academy Yes I figured it out since posting this. The only thing is the bluetooth connection randomly doesnt work and is quite annoying. So I resorted to just using the apple camera usb hookup into the I pad and going that route for now. The thor app randomly doesnt recognize my AE-05 from bluetooth and then sometimes it does. I'm doing a little performance for my grandmas birthday with this and bringing and amp and everything so I need to be sure it connects properly.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isax.academy Thanks Alistair. But it's the Minimoog Model D App I'm trying to connect to. That worked fine via Bluetooth but I can't figure out how to connect to it by cable.

      I have no problem physically connecting the AE10 with the cable. But I don't know what app settings to use to connect. The Moog app settings you show at 3:00 in the video show how to connect via Bluetooth. Are there equivalent settings to connect by cable?

    • @davidglover167
      @davidglover167 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a little help, I was able to solve the problem. I needed to set the Aero on an empty Init Tone and turn the volume to zero. I can now get all the preset tones in the Moog and hear them come out of the iPhone. My next task is to get the iPhone to communicate well with a Bluetooth speaker - at the moment there's a long lag.

      Theres always going to be a slight latency but on my set up its very playable. Remember you will always get better results if you can use an audio interface, even on an iPad. I have Hera that some Android devices have problems with latency.

      @isax.academy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there can be a slight delay using Bluetooth. It’s actually pretty good with the Aerophone GO and a decent mobile device. I generally the IOS devices tend to be better than the Android devices for latency.
      For best results use a cable.

      What I'm finding is that the adjustments are sensitive and it takes time to set it correctly for my own Embouchure, in order for the bending to be consistent, I'm a tenor sax paler and the sax reed is more forgiving, also when I installed the update and did the factory reset the reverb and pitch bend range was changed way to high on all my user tones, I am very pleased with the new saprano k sound, hope they have more tone updates soon
