I play rell top almost a whole year now . I think i'm gonna try this build . Quick tip : Rell's E does max HP% damage gaining 1% every 30AP and it chunks Turrets HP . This build with Hollow radiance might be a monster for split pushing Rell xD.
Always fun seeing rell gameplay as shes one of my favourite champions. Havent played since her recent rework though, but assuming most of her kit is the same outside of the passive on-hit changes, what you need to do is lane is stay in shield mode as much as possible. You get a free, massive HP shield so you should be abusing that to mitigate as much of the yones damage as possible. As you mentioned, you need to EQ more often. And remember E is a big speed buff which would allow you to run down lux and make it harder for her to snare you. Overall i think you played very well considering youve basically never played the champion before. But i think for champions youre not familiar with, maybe spending 5-10 mins in training tool familiarising yourself with the abilities and also constantly checking the tool tip in game would be helpful to remind you of some of the champs tools. In rells case, she basically wants to jump on your head, stun you, keep you locked down with her R, all while repeatidly autoing you (which steals resistances and does bonus on-hit). There is a hit and run playstyle but that requires Warmogs imo.
Glad you enjoyed this one! It's hard to know all the small things on all the champs but spending a little time in practice tool can be helpful for sure (or at least reading stuff in game). Rell is a champ with crazy CC so someone with better Rell mechanics could make this build work really well!
In case you ever play rell again, you can actually e in midair whenever you dismount to get off more damage on an emgage, and if you can get your slide to crash into a wall it'll animation cancel and let you q faster
@@brandonacosta5144 my point is that this rell build is not even an off meta or smth, its just terrible. Seju was always playable on top just because of her high base dmg and defensive stats and how she works in comparison to rell. She (rell) was good when she had jgl amplifiers, but now there shouldnt be even a talk of moving her out of botlane. On top of everything, this was a normal game anyways so I didn’t expect people to crush this literal troll pick
@@boki_zerg that's the point of some of these videos though, to try new things even if they may not always work. As long as the players have fun that's the important thing
After buffs rell is pretty busted that's why she is Working on top. The reason i put torch over leandrys is rell's mana problems, normally u would go tear but in this build we don't have space for that so just torch is better imo.
personally i think rushing bami to help with farming and then going into liandrys is a stronger itemisation. If you find that mana is an issue, you can always just buy tear at the start and sell it later, or even go into the sorcerer rune tree for the mana flow instead of inspiration, but rell really isnt a mana hungry champion. Mana really doesnt do anything for rell so its a wasted stat where as HP not only makes her tankier as a tank, but also her shield gets stronger based on HP too. Put it this way. getting blackfire and malignance is basically you sacrificing 2 hp items which is losing about 1000+ HP (bonus hp + shield). In return you get a 'little' bit of burn, and part of it is locked to your R. But you could get even more burn AND get more hp if you just bought liandrys instead. You could then buy Zekes (after your completed bami item) which gives you both armour and MR + some haste (rell doesnt need a lot of haste) and you still get an addition burn with zekes slowing effect on the R.
I think this build was awesome overall and more trading in lane could mean that more mana would be spent and the need for torch early may be required. However, Liandry's would be cool to try first to see the damage difference and if mana would actually be an issue but I agree that we could buy a tear and sell it later if needed. This recommendation was super cool and greatly appreciated! Looking forward to trying similar set ups on champs!
People doing the same is fine as long as it's in normal games which are build for fun and to try new stuff. I think I also mentioned that I had some nice team support this game and I agree it would be harder to pull off without it ^^

You can do this exact same build with Amumu! His passive makes your burns do true damage.
Yeah we could actually! It would be similar to a normal Amumu build if we built Liandry's first however so maybe we can mix it up!
This microwave build could probably work with Sej too. Lyandries instead of black fire with Sunfire/Hollow Radiance and Unending Despair or Rift Maker

Its not really good to show. people will do the same but all your team was babysiting u wuthout them you couldnt do like that.
