I've had some comments on this video highlighting that the complications I dealt with after birth might be triggering. I've changed the title to include 'complications after' and have added a trigger warning to the description. I do want to reiterate that I consider this a positive birth experience. The birth itself was positive, empowering and powerful. It's an experience I'll cherish forever. The haemorrhage is something that happened to me after birth. It was scary, I felt trauma at the time of filming this video, I've since processed it. I absolutely do not want this video to scare anyone. Birth is beautiful ❤️

Dang you had to go through so much right after the birth. Ughh. I’m glad you made it out ok and you were able to recover well. Congrats on your baby!!!

Congratulations 🎉. I watched all your birth videos and they are so encouraging ❤
Edit: Its also encouraging to know you can go from 4/5 centimetres to 10 very quickly ❤

Thank you for sharing this story and sorry that your third stage of labour (birthing the placenta) wasn’t so positive. Makes me sad to hear that baby was taken off your skin during this stage as skin to skin is so important for the birth of the placenta. Anyway, glad you’re both doing well now ❤ thank you for sharing!! X

What do you wear for bottoms after your water has broken? Is anything coming out between the waters and the birth? For the trip to the hospital should you wear an adult diaper or pad?

So sorry you had to go through all that you did. I would also recommend changing the title as I experienced the need for a positive story and this had set me on the wrong mindset. I didn’t read the description beforehand which I now know I should do

Thank you for your comment and kind words. I changed the description and title earlier today. The title should now include 'complications after' in the title. I still stand by what I say in the video, that the birth experience was positive, empowering and beautiful. I did run into some issues afterwards and I feel at peace with those now that I've processed them. This video is not at all meant to discourage people. Birth is beautiful, both of my births have been positive and empowering. I hope that came across in the video and I'm sorry if it's affected your mindset towards birth ❤️

That’s a lot. I’m so sorry you experienced this. Since you’ve had time to process, do you think if the placenta hadn’t been rushed with what I assume were synthetic injections, things could have been different? I realize it’s impossible to know the alternative, but do you have a sense? I know many think the placenta needs to come within a certain amount of time, and it’s therefore encouraged by various means, but there’s evidence otherwise as well. Maybe I misunderstood and your bleed started BEFORE the shots were given. Try to focus on the “wonderful”, strong mama!

Thank you for sharing! So I’m guessing this means you didn’t have to get a hysterectomy thank God and they were able to stop the bleeding during the surgery, my question is if they gave you more information about that procedure what they did and what the issue was etc, so glad you’re all home safely!!!

They never found the issue as such... The bleeding stopped but I think that's because of the drugs they gave me to help my uterus contract back down. The three procedures I had were quite invasive and at the time I did feel ill informed but I asked lots of questions and one of the midwives helped me to understand it. Thanks so much for watching 💕

I'm so happy you and baby are both so well now and am glad you feel positively about your birth but this isn't an objectively positive birth, and a lot of people need that when they're searching for it. The extra part added to the end of the title and the addition to the description aren't enough - please consider renaming this video.

Thank you for your comment! I have changed the title as the last thing I want is to upset or scare anyone ❤️

Definitely not what I was expecting, since the title says "positive birth story" kinda left with new fears unlocked instead of optimistic enthusiasm😅 informative video nonetheless. Glad you and your baby were okay in the end😊

Yes same, I wanted to get a positive story to calm myself and prepare but this turned to be so negative. I'm so sorry you went through all of that but you should have added a trigger warning or explained this in another video. So many fears came up. Glad you and your baby are ok ❤

Oh I'm so sorry you feel that way. I did have a really positive birth experience and that's why it's titled the way it is. I take your comments on board though and will add it in the description. Thank you for watching ❤️
