I remember back in the day when I was 5 or 6 years old, I'd go to village and everyday after lunch I'd lay down on the bed. And when it used to rain I'd ask grandma to tell me stories. That soothing sounds of the rain drops on the tin roof and grandma's stories was everything. I miss all those simple little details and people in life that made us happy 😢

This is exactly how I remember my childhood days (nights). I used to sleep with this beautiful and comforting sound. It gave me a safety feeling of being inside my family’s home, with my parents and siblings, while I fell asleep with the sound of a torrential rain falling on the zinc roof. I love rain and thunder.

This was my childhood. I grew up in Nigeria where its so hot, so when it rained, I would sleep near the window and open it slightly so I could feel the soft splashes of rain drops.

Way back when I was young I remember this kinds of rains specially I grow up in the Philippines this kinds of rains,loud sound of thunderstorm for the whole nights I miss my country ! When I was a child, whenever it rained my mum would wake my brother, sister and me up (my dad worked night),turn off all the lights and turn the sofa to face the windows.
We would all sit there with hot chocolate and listen to the storm while waiting to see the lightning, we lived on a hill and could see for miles.
We all grew up to absolutely love thunderstorms and do similar things with our children.
I found out recently that my mum hated them and was terrified but by waking us up and pretending she loved them she found she could cope.

This is so great! I always used to get anxiety in the dark. I've grown very sensitive to light because of my autism, so I couldn't sleep with any lights on either. These videos have really helped me relax in the dark. Now I hardly ever feel anxiety in the dark anymore. I actually feel peaceful. It means such a great deal to me :)
