Why are they adapting this series in the first place?!! What is the point of your live action adaptation if you’re going to change the most fundamental elements of what you’re taking from you immediately alienate the fans and you’re not bringing in any new fans from doing it, you just stand to fail, this is a lose lose situation all around like we saw with the halo series (cancelled after it’s second season), the live action cowboy bebop series(cancelled a week after it aired) and dragon ball evolution (a movie so bad it offended the creator out of retirement) and knights of the zodiac(literally bombed in the box office) this is once again falling in the same exact fucking mistakes of why the fuck are you adapting something that you don’t even seem to like or get or understand in the first place? Further evidence of saying that they’re going to make their own story and that they never played the games or did any research which is already dead on arrival for starters and the shows I brought up halo and live action cowboy bebop did this and made their own story and never watched cowboy bebop or played the halo games and both series failed and were cancelled

Rarely video game adaptations are good. Kiryu voice is unique. He's also has good body. Big and muscular. There's a lot more reasons.
I don't know about acting skills, but these people don't look like characters from games. It's not 1:1 in terms of story too. It could have been some good random yakuza movie, but no. Nothing can be left untouched. It's either political agenda or greed. I hope that they at least can make decent show.

@@HopelesslyCritical yeah and that’s how adaptions fail, because you hire people who don’t like or don’t get or understand the series and makes their own version but their own show isn’t good so they slap a name of a popular game or franchise to make it more marketable
