Good review and video. Straight to the point with interesting footage and information and good quality camera and drone views and best of all, NO DRAMA. That's why you're the best in my opinion. Thank you
Well Andy I think you have a great future if you ever decide to retire in selling machinery and trucks. You know you're way around this stuff and you learn your way around this stuff very interesting watching you show off the features of that loader, and it does look like one of those deals is sometimes we just can't walk away from had a few of them over my career too. Sometimes I don't think that the general public in this country the 98% of the population of this country that we the 2% that are farming, feed. Realize the expense the time and the risks we take to feed them, I'm an old FFA member and a member of the Pennsylvania farm bureau in Butler county farm bureau and it's one of the things we wrestle with all the time is how we get that message out. You do a great job and I really enjoy watching your channel.
Thanks for taking the time to go into detail when you show us your tractors and implements. For you, it's an every day thing. For many of the rest of us, it's out of the ordinary and we appreciate your going in-depth. I drove Rescues, Engines and Ladder Trucks for 32 years. I don't watch fire service videos because I lived it every day. Now a days, I'd rather watch cows and corn - tractors and loaders...
Thanks for posting the video. I love to see them and just the plain honest straight forward evaluation of the loaders and the equipment - you talk about the good stuff and the stuff that doesn't work and its a good watch Thanks for posting.
I remember when the 544 was practically brand new, and when you guys were still defacing with the JD tele handler and loading sand with the 325. Nice to see the 544 beside the 624, it’s plain to see how much larger of a machine it is.
We’ve struggled over the years finding employees that treat our equipment like they pay to fix it and that’s typically what sends guys in search of a new job. In 2007 we bought a new 644J High lift and in the first week one of the cowboys we had working was plowing snow around the milk tanks(we load directly into semi tanks after cooling these days)and he caught the concrete approach in 3rd gear and snapped both loader arms off about 8” behind the lower pins. He went down the road and we spent almost $50k to put a new loader assembly on it. Loader also left after that because my dad figured it would happen again with the extra long arms. Since then we have also only used roll out buckets for feed handling along with handling sawdust for our dry cows, heifers and feeders.
I bought 524K -ll 2 years ago with 10hrs on it. I got almost 3000hrs on it now, not one problem yet. Love the loader , I use it at our concrete plant.Them gave me a great deal, couldn’t pass it up.lm sure they will give you a good for it.the ride control is great, love it when busy and got run fast.
Andy you have all the coolest toys!!!! Here I was feeling all excited that I just went out today and bought a 2018 Vermeer mc3300 MOCO, and come home to see you playing with really big iron... LOL Congrats!
Spot on video Andy. Enjoyed 😉 we used what we called a toe tip bucket on a Bobcat skid steer in the late 80s early 90s to load poultry muck onto Tractor trailer combinations and it worked really well (no shaking the bucket to empty) always got a good load on the Trailer. Keep em coming. Catch the next 👍
Not shure about the years but my work has three 624 loaders for winter plowing. One J, K, and K-ll. Good size machines. Those 624k-ll's are super quiet.
Andy I run a 844k 2 in a gravel pit that loader has been dam good I think I have almost 7000 hours it has a good machine compared to my other loaders which is a Volvo 220G and 220E wished I could run all Deere loaders.
Hi Andy . Great video . Should look at AMI attachments at the kick-box Ejector bucket . We run a Case 621GXR pay-loader and we haven’t had any problems so far . Have a good day
@@FarmingFixingFabricating We used a dymax push out bucket at the feedlot I worked at. It was really slick. We had two of those 624k loaders with right close to 20k hours too. They’re good machines.
I'm pretty no nonsense if it's not broken y replace it I would tell them no thanks I have 2 good ones maybe in few years now not good time haha another used one will come up they always do .your videos are the best andy
Andy just for giggles. Check out a Clark 675 wheel loader They run a 20 yard bucket to load and carry blasted rock to a crusher. I'm sure they could fit a bucket to fill your truck with one scoop!
I can't imagine they'd give you much for that 544 with 21,000 hours on it, I say keep it. 😄 We have a 928 , 2x 930s and a 938 all cat loaders we use mostly for pushing snow, 2 load dirt all summer. The 2 that only push snow look brand new, we wash them religiously. 21,258 hrs on the 544 vs 21,316 on the 644 that's pretty close.
We have 3 Cat loaders at the dairy I work at here in Indiana. Absolutely love our cats smooth running machines. Thing I like most is that the auxiliary hydraulic lever is built in with the main joystick so you don’t have 2 levers to work with. Definitely demo a cat if you can!
No kidding lol the last "new" cat I was around was the 980g with the weird half moon steering and then some time later my father told me all the new new stuff was all joystick control no steering wheel which is odd but I get it basically means your loader guys basically familiarized to the hoe controls
That’s a sweet machine. The chrome stack really pops. Need a pair like the W9. The way you take care of your equipment with servicing and addressing issues quickly, the 21K hours don’t bother me for reliability. However it would be great to have an extra machine for breakdowns. That way you aren’t scrambling like last winter. Thankfully it wasn’t during harvest. The man hours if you used a telehandler or skid steer would kill you I’m sure. Enough rambling. Thanks for sharing a great video Andy. I always enjoy the drone footage. Who’s Louisville dump bucket is in the bin. That is a pretty old truck. Sarah could really have fun in that. Lol.
Just watching your video and thinking of the amount of money you guys spend on tires per year!!! Wow I will keep buy dairy products. Have a great day keep up the great videos!!!
About 50 years ago the neighbor had this for loading silage. It was an old car minus body. At angle a conveyor run from rear to front of the car frame. To the rear of the car frame on a hydraulic controlled arm their. was a auger that cut the silage off the end of the pile. A local welder built this. He made several of them I think. Wished I had a picture to send you. .
That's a nice loader. It would be handy to keep both old ones but could get expensive if you lose an engine on the 544 and only use it occasionally. Think I'd trade it and keep the 624, you have the 2 telehandlers as back up.
Do what we do Andy tell ur sales guy that ya want a full warranty with it plus the first three oil changes is on them. The last two 333 skids we bought we told them that’s what we wanted and they jumped on it.
Excellent video it's about impossible to beat a payloader when handling heavy material and feed they are built for steady heavy work i would keep the old high houred loaders for back up if you have a breakdown
Seems a little risky to have a front line machine that is critical to the operation, with more than 20K hours. You have to think a serious issue can't be too far away, although you make repairs seem manageable no matter what happens. Great video!
One thing to keep in mind, with 300 hrs on it, most of the glitches with a new machine should have showed up. Like a loose plug in the wiring harness, ect.
I'm afraid that they might be a bit expensive due to taxes and crap. But especially the Ljunby have a very high power to weigh ratio. A L15 is about the same size as the 624 but is available with a 300hp engine. So it is pretty common to se them in cities pulling big trailers and delivering heavy items. Some farmers eaven fit a 3 point hitch and use them instead of tractors in the fields. But I don't think that they can handle the heavy tasks in the fields.
@@centralvalleycaliforniafarming I'd rate Liebherr and Case above Jcb for the type of work Andy does,Jcb make an excellent high power to weight ratio shovel that's excellent for silage clamp work
@@rescuecow90 I would beg to differ for the Liebherr side of things. We have one and it costs us the most money per hour to run just on repairs alone. Our guys hate that machine so much that they will use our smaller loader before they will use the Liebherr. The hydrostatic transmission absolutely sucks in it compared to the smaller Cat and Komatsu machines. The only benefit that the Deere has over the Liebherr is the powershift transmission. Case makes a great machine, but a lot of these loaders have one thing in common, which is the transmission. Hyundai, Hitachi, Case, LiuGong, JCB, and Doosan all use ZF Transmissions. A lot more manufacturers use their axles, but not on all models. Many of these companies use cummins motors as well. Anymore, it all comes down to dealer service for these machines because almost all of them use the same components.
