Red cards should be awarded for malicious play. Upgrading from yellow to red for a non intentional croc roll is just out of hand.

Scotland's red card was absurd. Even the SA panel said it. Glad the 20 minute red card was in play because honestly wtf was that?

Need a law that captain could have the one time call for the TMO look for a Croc roll and show on the big screen !

So France asks for something and they allow it. Much like the 2023 RWC hosting rights.

For violent conduct I'd agree with you Steve, but not for an iffy technical one. Then the 20min red makes sense. I think it's probably more important for WR to stop making this game so soft and allowing space for teams to milk penalties off each other just by a player holding his face. Call it a rugby incident and let's play on

100% agree. The current cards are killing the game. Why is it that all the couch sitting know alls are screaming for SAFETY SAFETY. Why don't they go support NRL or touch rugby???

I don't like the 20 minute red card. What the teams could do with this rule - have a player intentionally take out a player, possibly injured for months, and in return he's sent off for 20 minutes and replaced by another player. Sound fair?

If if if. The current format are abused to get good players off the field too. We need 15 against 15.

yes!! 15 against 15 - that's fair. These SAFETY mongers should go try red carding boxers rather.

20min red card is rubbish. Croc rolls are illegal, no question - straight red - you know where your arms are going. What about not touching the player scoring a try - over the goal line, no touching. No true rugby nation wants the 20min red card

Nonsense. TRUE rugby nations want to see tough 15 man rugby.

The card system is killing rugby. Rugby is a contact sport and one-on-one defense is crucial. Not even in soccer (a non-contact game) is a player sent off with a yellow card. Solution? In case of a red card, the player should be sent off but replaced immediately. The guilty player should be suspended afterwards. In case of a yellow card, the player should stay on the field, but fined afterwards. Just think of the possibility of one team loosing five players in a game! Who wants to see a game like that? Who would feel proud of winning a game like that? PLEASE? DON'T KILL THE GANE?

Absolutely agree!!! Thank you!! Why do they so desperately want to change our beloved game?? So wish all these safety preachers go away. Soccer should suit them more.
