Oh My Lord. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner. Oh My Lord. It makes my hair so amazingly soft, and after using it for a few days it brought out gorgeous auburn undertones to my natural dark chocalate brown hair.
I use the John Frieda frizz-ease shampoo and conditioner, and it is amazing! I've got curls like you, and it doesn't dry put my hair at all, it makes it more curly and soft + glowy! Love you! xx
I have long dark brown wavy/straight hair and I use Main n' Tail shampoo and conditioner and I LOVE THEM!!! makes my hair so soft and shiny, and smells amazing! you can get it at the grocery store or drugstore-I highly recommend them :)
I. LOVED. THE. DEEPER BROWN COLLECTION! my hair has been so much shinier, and deeper then it used to be, to the point that i'm refusing to use any other shampoo and conditioner. for awhile now i'm been in a country on vacation where they don't sell it, and even now my hair is still holding up better ever since i started using this collection. as for the drying, i have naturally very dry hair. I use a hair moisturizing spray each time i was my hair to get the moisture back in.
I don't know, for me it works it's amazing, it makes my hair shine and feels really smooth also there's another John Frieda shampoo that it's a little more gentle and it's the one that gets the amber to maple, I love it!
I have brilliant brunette enhancing shampoo and conditioner, and that defiently works for me. When I was younger I used it and had perfect tones, and I've tried it again and have the same results. It also gives me soooo much shiny x
I've been using Renpure Organic shampoo and conditioner for about 4 months now and for thick curly brown hair, let me tell ya! IT IS INCREDIBLE! No sulphates or chemicals, not tested on animals, at CVS and only $6 or so! I have oily hair after the second day but this brand made my hair feel clean but not dry and brittle. Give it a shot if you see it :) Glad you're back and feeling better xo
Cassandra, you have such a great energy! I love to watch your videos... Especially when I'm feeling sad, because I always feel so much better after. Thank you. :) XO from Brazil.
I've had it before... It was OK, I didn't think it stripped my hair that much and made it a little silkier. By the way, my hair is wavy and sometimes curly and long so it can get a little dry and frizzy. I agree that it didn't bring out any tones into my hair. I loved the liquid shine perfecting gloss from the same range- it smells so nice! Thanks for the video Cassie! I love watching them all :) xx
I have dark brown straight hair and I have loved these products... maybe you didn't notice to much of a difference because your hair is lighter brown? You could try the Blonde version in the John Frieda line and maybe you would get better results because your hair has more golden tones than cool tones.
I'm a curly girl as well, and I thought the shampoo was very drying too. The conditioner did give me a little more shine, but I prefer Guhl Colorshine for brown hair..
Try chamomille tea for golden reflections. I had strawberry blond hair (recently dyed it with henna) and I used chamomille tea all the time to bring out more of that golden shine :)
I personally really liked it and I have light wavy hair and a dry scalp. It really worked with the toning part in mine but I used the entire product + their luminous glaze which I really love and that comes out of the bottle shiny brown.
Hi, I have also curly hair and brown color. I put an olive oil mix with garlic on my hair, and your hair becomes like "new" and I use now the new dove products for hair which I can recommend for curly!
I've used this shampoo/conditioner for years. Has always worked great for me. I have medium brown, wavy hair. It works much better after long term use. Also increases shine more than dimensional color change. But I did notice a difference over time. I think John Frida is one of the best drug store brands
I have those and i have straight oily hair. It worked great for me because it does take the extra oiliness out and it added some nice color dimensions to my hair.
Glad to hear that you feel better :) Thank you so much for this review, I was thinking so much about this product but I was not sure should I try this one. This review was very helpful ;)
Ah Cass, your skin is actually looking so great! You are so incredibly beautiful, thank you for sharing this awesome review with us! I looooooveeee watching your videos they're just so addicting!
This is great! I'm glad you're feeling better! Have you ever used LUSH hair care? Their shampoo bars haven't been too harsh on my hair in terms of stripping oil! :)
Omg.. I naturally had a medium ash brown hair colored and used that go blinder stuff in the summer thinking it would be temporary but it actually dyed my natural hair and now the only thing I have left to do is grow my roots out:(
I felt huge difference on my hair after first usage of that conditioner. It made my hair smooth and softer. By the way it smells like perfect, really good. After using for a long time it starts to lose its positive effect, idk maybe my hair get used to it. But it makes my hair so silky and smelled with coconut and almond aroma.
wow thats so weird. It has worked so well for me. I love this stuff. I have been using it since about may. I don't think I will ever change it. It works so well for my hair. I dyed my hair dark brown and I didn't like how flat it looked in color so I tried this and it looks so good. I do wish it was more moisturizing but I just used a leave in conditioner after though to make up for it.
I think I'm going to try it,my hair is straight,(Sometimes it gets a little bit of wave to it)and while I prefer using hair growth/health shampoos & conditioners because I'm growing it out,I really wanted to try this product and your review has got me to try it. I was unsure until you said that it would be pretty good for straight hair. :) Thanks for the review!!
Cass, I really would like to know how your regular days look like. You say that you go to medical school as well? You seem to be getting a lot of things done during the day and I personally struggle with time management and would therefore be thankful for some insight into you daily routines and maybe some advice on how you manage your time! Greetings from Brussels!
i heard pantene doesn't actually make your hair soft. it just basically covers your hair in this coating that makes it LOOK soft and healthy but it's actually causing damage to your hair.
My hair is in-between blonde and brown so I've tired both. They didn't really bring out different shades in my hair. It did make my hair shinny and I love the smell. I do like they they strip the oil from my hair, I have straight oily hair. If you are looking for a shampoo that will clean but leave your natural oils try organix Moroccan argan oil it's the blue one. I didn't like it because even though my hair was clean it still felt oily which I guess is bad for me and good for you.
I also bought this shampoo and conditioner. Like you I have brown curly hair and this product did not work for me. It made my hair frizzy and it didn't do anything for me.... great video hope you feel better!! :)
You should try the Pantene Version of the "brilliant brunette" type of shampoo / conditioner... I thought it worked nicer and didn't strip my hair as bad as this one!
@gabie retaba, I have naturally wavy, THICK blonde hair and I use the Blonde version of this. It's not drying at all and actually leaves my hair more silky than most. My hair is pretty coarse though to begin with, but I do love this stuff in blonde!
I have deep chestnut colored hair and in winter the reddish tones fade a bit and I don't like that and I've used that shampoo and conditioner and it brought my red tones back out again. But I also use a buttload of shampoo because I have a buttload of wavy hair.
SUGGESTION: grisi chamomile hair lightener spray! Is rich in herbal extracts, which allows to gradually lighten your natural hair color! I love it and it works!
I saw this girl with the longest and fullest hair I have ever seen in my life and she said she used these brands, so I bought them. They worked for me. She said she washes her hair once a week. Anyway maybe you should try Herbal Essence Honey I'm strong or something like that. I use it on my daughters hair and her hair is awesome and her hair is growing fast with that shampoo.
I've used the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette for about seven years now, and I love it. But yeah, it's not really for bringing out the tones. I just like how it makes my hair feel. Mine is long and wavy, but my biggest issue is that I get a bad scalp from shampoos like Pantene. This is the only one I've tried that calmed it down :)
Hi cass :) try out the Italian shampoo Davines...I'm personally using the nounou range for years now and I love it!! I'm also brunette with curly hair...
Hey Cass, I've browsed through your channel, and couldnt find the answer, because I completely cant remember, whether you've already talked about that or not - have you ever tried any topical retinoids (like tazarotene?) If so, did it give you any results? Would you recommend them? Looking forward to your reply. Lots of kisses from Poland! xxx
Try the giovani (think thats how its spelt) shampoo for brunette hair, paraben/sulphate/bad things free, and the packaging lovely lol, it uses coffee bean to enhance the brunette colour in the hair, my hairs a natural deep choco brown/brunette hair and its amazing on mine ! Makes my hair look super chocolaty
I once tried the Brilliant brunette Multi tone shampoo and conditioner. I have never bought it again since it made my hair rather dry, but mostly I didn't like it because it irritated my scalp so much :/ I didn't notice any dramatic positive changes when I used that shampoo but I have semi-curly brown hair.
i actually liked these products, they made my hair really soft and tame but i agree it doesn't really bring out highlights and you wouldn't notice much difference at all in that department. Also i have straight hair if that makes a difference
Seconding the Pantene version recommendation. When I used it the first few times, it was amazing; it really made the dark brown deeper and brought out the copper strands once again! However, I was told by my hairdresser (and personally experienced) that Pantene adds some kind of wax that WILL build up in your hair, so don't use it constantly.
Cass... Have you ever tried Wen hair care system by Chaz Dean? U mentioned wanting somethoing to clean ur hair and not strip it as much. Let me know asap :)
I tried this when my hair was long and dyed brown (it's originally blonde) and I agree that it was VERY drying. But I thought it was just cause I had dyed it.
ok i know that this video isnt about this but i have to say: i love you you are so pretty you make so many good videos you are my inspiration i mean you where just a girl whit acne and now you are so a inspiration for sooo many girls maybe also boys i dont know i wanna me so successful as you are keep up making so many good videos i really love it and THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH i really love you and you are so PRETTY lots of love from switzerland
QUESTION QUESTION. What hair products do you recommend to make thin hair appear more thicker or better yet actually make it thicker? Its not for me, trust me I don't need more hair... (Blonde Curly Fro) It's for my boyfriend. He has long black curly hair down to his shoulders and its not as thick as it used to be and that upsets him. Any advice would be grande! Keep up the videos darling!
You should try Clear Shine at home hair glaze from John Frieda!!! It's literally amazinggg! It brought out the natural highlights to my hair so it does look a tiny bit lighter but it makes my hair super smooth and shiny and I love it!! (btw i have le the exact hair color as u)
I'm Greek so I have that really dark Mediterranean brown hair. I used up the whole bottle of that stuff and it did nothing. I also have really curly hair and it just made it feel super dry
It's like a speck.. maybe like a speck of dust? And she does look like she has on eye & lip makeup & maybe the serum.she mentioned in her last video or a tinted moisturizer? I like her better without makeup anyway. It's more relatable, especially to young people struggling with acne!
you're so sweet! i've known about these products for a while, but I'm trying to get rid of all the un-natural colours in my hair, will it make my hair more brown again do you think? thank you for the review ^_^ xx
lol i think i just saw your green dragon/mirror shoes on the 3rd shelf in your high heel shoe cupbored thingy so jealous they look awesome wish they had shoes like that in new zealand =[ and hope you get better soon =D
I love that shampoo and conditioner. I am a huge fan of John Frieda products, to bad My scalp needs extra care so I can only use a little bit. It doesn't aggravate it, its just the way my scalp is, but i love the shininess, silkiness, and added dimension to my hair. :)
i have straight, thin hair and it is definitely moisturizing but it kind of weighs my hair down, so i just use the conditioner on the ends, but i dont really see a difference in the color. :)
I've been using that shampoo on and off for a couple of months now, and I feel like the shampoo doesn't really lather up enough for me. Other than that, I think it's a great product.
Oh My Lord. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner. Oh My Lord. It makes my hair so amazingly soft, and after using it for a few days it brought out gorgeous auburn undertones to my natural dark chocalate brown hair.
You're my favourite person to watch on YT - not just beauty-related but overall. Thanks for yet another great video, Cassandra! X
I use the John Frieda frizz-ease shampoo and conditioner, and it is amazing! I've got curls like you, and it doesn't dry put my hair at all, it makes it more curly and soft + glowy! Love you! xx
Welcome my love! I hope it helped!!! :)

I have brilliant brunette enhancing shampoo and conditioner, and that defiently works for me. When I was younger I used it and had perfect tones, and I've tried it again and have the same results. It also gives me soooo much shiny x

I've been using that shampoo and conditioner for 6 months!!! Absolutely amazing, my mom uses it too :) We love the color it gives our hair
great for shine and a slightly noticable difference in the dimension, but you're right, for curly/coarse hair it isn't much of a help
I have dark brown straight hair and I have loved these products... maybe you didn't notice to much of a difference because your hair is lighter brown? You should try the Pantene Version of the "brilliant brunette" type of shampoo / conditioner... I thought it worked nicer and didn't strip my hair as bad as this one!
I have pin straight her and it worked perfectly, I think it may also be because I have oily hair, but it did wonders for my hair :D
@gabie retaba, I have naturally wavy, THICK blonde hair and I use the Blonde version of this. It's not drying at all and actually leaves my hair more silky than most. My hair is pretty coarse though to begin with, but I do love this stuff in blonde!
my skin is exactly like yours! Now I like mine more, because you have it too and you're still incredibly GORGEOUS ! Love you cass *___*
I have tints of gold and auburn in my hair too. You can really see it when it's really sunny out.
I have my mom mail this stuff out to me in Korea. I love this stuff!
I have deep chestnut colored hair and in winter the reddish tones fade a bit and I don't like that and I've used that shampoo and conditioner and it brought my red tones back out again. But I also use a buttload of shampoo because I have a buttload of wavy hair.

Try dove with gold strip i have same-ish hair as you and it makes miracles
Try the giovani (think thats how its spelt) shampoo for brunette hair, paraben/sulphate/bad things free, and the packaging lovely lol, it uses coffee bean to enhance the brunette colour in the hair, my hairs a natural deep choco brown/brunette hair and its amazing on mine ! You should do a homemade honey hair mask to lighten up your hair. It really works and doesn't damage your hair! There are tons of tutorials on TH-cam
I once tried the Brilliant brunette Multi tone shampoo and conditioner. I have never bought it again since it made my hair rather dry, but mostly I didn't like it because it irritated my scalp so much :/

Have you ever tried Wen hair care system by Chaz Dean?
U mentioned wanting somethoing to clean ur hair and not strip it as much.
Let me know asap :)
I love this shampoo. I have natural curly auburn hair. I especially love this shampoo when I'm going to straighten my hair.
You look beautiful Cassandra!
I tried this when my hair was long and dyed brown (it's originally blonde) and I agree that it was VERY drying. But I thought it was just cause I had dyed it.

i use this shampoo and conditioner in the redhead version and it works awesome for my straight red hair :)
QUESTION QUESTION.

Keep up the videos darling!
I really love your sweater, where did you get it at?
i love john frieda for brunettes
I used the daily brilliant brunet. I liked it.
i have the fiery red...i like the smell and texture of it
I use it and I have curly hair and it works for me; but I only use the conditioner with a different hydrating shampoo
You should try Clear Shine at home hair glaze from John Frieda!!! It's literally amazinggg! It brought out the natural highlights to my hair so it does look a tiny bit lighter but it makes my hair super smooth and shiny and I love it!! (btw i have le the exact hair color as u)
only with mah fancy pantz onnn :)
I'm Greek so I have that really dark Mediterranean brown hair. I used up the whole bottle of that stuff and it did nothing. I also have really curly hair and it just made it feel super dry

I love that shampoo and conditioner. I am a huge fan of John Frieda products, to bad My scalp needs extra care so I can only use a little bit. It doesn't aggravate it, its just the way my scalp is, but i love the shininess, silkiness, and added dimension to my hair. :)
and a good deep conditioner on top since it was drying for you.
i liked it for straight hair, it revealed lots of tones! :) i only use the conditioner though
i adore this shampoo and conditioner!
Philosophy doesn't have them, they are a bit expensive, but they are made without all those bad chemicals and they do come in a pretty big bottle :)
i have straight, thin hair and it is definitely moisturizing but it kind of weighs my hair down, so i just use the conditioner on the ends, but i dont really see a difference in the color. :)
thank u for the honest review...didnt use n will be returning!
its not Oil on her face that makes it shine, it is because of the SPF in her makeup or sunblock that reflects the light and make it look shinny.
I've been using that shampoo on and off for a couple of months now, and I feel like the shampoo doesn't really lather up enough for me. Other than that, I think it's a great product.
