I am not sure everyone realizes what a huge sacrifice and commitment taking on George and Yami was. In the beginning organizations where giving Kevin alot of lip service about supporting him when he took them only to abandon him when the medical bills started coming in. Thank you Kevin for giving not only these two lions a good life and meeting all there needs but all the creatures in your care. May God bless you richly in this life and the next. Thank you from a small town in eastern USA.

I remember when these two arrived, and wow. They've grown into two incredibly beautiful kings! Thank you for rescuing them and for telling their story. I love them, especially George. What a fighter and inspiration he is.

I saw a set of beautiful female lion's and a few males, somewhere in South Africa and the man who owns them wears a turquoise T shirt I was horrified to see this man who has a Dutch sounding name smacking punching and shouting at his lion's like someone in a circus. He pulls the lion's around with their tails. Then he tool off his shoe and was whacking the lion's who were sick of the treatment
Some thing needs to be done about that man, he is like a psychopath toward those poor animals. I noticed quite a few comments about that man. Something needs to be done about it. It's on TH-cam.
Kevin Richardson on the other hand, is such a total contrast and it's a great privilege and pleasure to see these videos of Kevin and the Big Cats, plus hyenas, and the care he gives to all his animals.
I still remember seeing these two as two little and playful furballs. It's good to see they've grown up to be healthy and strong lions.

t's a calling. It comes from the heart. And animals are very sensitive to the attitude towards themselves. But there's something else we don't know. ! all respect to this fearless guy!!!!! What a good fellow he is! How much do you need to feel the animal, to become akin to it, so that the wild animal accepts you into its pack. Bravo!!! Here, good relations are not always established with a domestic cat, but here prides, packs of hyenas, no, it's just wonderful! There is also a brave man Alexey Tikhonov, who also lives in South Africa and has his own pride of lions.
This made me cry. We know the likelihood of those boys not being around anymore if not for you and your team. Much love and gratitude for brining them into our lives. ❤️🦁🦁

I don’t know how you have the bravery to work with Lions, wishing love and safety to you and the lions.
Pay attention. Respect their space. And know if they eat you. At least they are fed
Years and years of interacting and observing the same Lion behavior and having a HUGE respect for them is what lets Kevin do this. He wouldn't just start rolling around with new lions

Big boys Georgie-Porgie and Yam-Yam started life as a nightmare but that turned into a beautiful dream come true as soon as Mr. Kevin showed up. Your work is priceless, Kev. A true hero, you are.
You can see the genuine gratitude, warmth, & fondness in their eyes. They know Kevin has a kind soul. I'm so glad they are happy & being properly taken care of.

Truly for me the video highlighted Kevin’s passion for the lion and their welfare and how he loves the animals in his care like a father, accepting and understanding of their personalities and needs and proud of what they have become. Hurrah for you, Kevin and team!

You (as Kevin) see their suffering, you feel their stress and you know what they need. Your sensitive being, your intution is a real gift dear Kevin, especially to those you have rescued. I love watching your videos so much, I almost never feel stress when I watch them (only maybe when they kill an animal as I'm sensitive myself), it's such a lovely "place" to visit from time to time. Thank you. 🩷🦁🩷 PS: 1:49 Oh, and what is interesting (I just noticed) George and Yame didn't have pink nose tips when they were cubs. You said that lions and tigers have pink snouts when they are young, but maybe that was also due to malnutrition of the poor babies.

I come back and watch videos over and over again and Georgie and Yum Yum still make me cry every time I look into Georgie's eyes he pierces your sole with those eyes. Knowing what they both endured in that awful petting zoo in Spain. And to see how Kevin took them in and Kevin and staff and volunteers and Dr. Caldwell and his team took these little guys and gave them especially Georgie THE BEST quality of life. And when Yum Yum started getting mean to George Kevin again stepped in to see what could be done and the medication worked. Yum Yum has taken massive strides. Thank You Kevin, staff and Dr Caldwell and staff for taking such excellent care of these two 🙏

They are living proof as to THE WHY you done do this to any animal. You take away their quality of life. Kevin's whole journey 20+ years now is because of these 2 EXACT reason's Kevin has pledged to see the animals in his care have THE BEST quality of life after he rescued all his animals from his former employer. This is like the scene in the Lion King where he changes from a cub to an adult. I’m glad you were there for Yame and George, and I’m glad they are happy and well!
I would say definitely one of my favorite two lions. However, I start to think about Amy, Meg, Thor or Gabby and I realize how much I love them all. Each Lion and Lioness has their unique quirk and personality which is why they are “The One and Only”...
Everyone loves George and Yame!!! Both remarkable in their own rights but that Georgie is a true fighter and a great representation of perseverance, never giving up and the "Yes I can, just watch" attitude. We as humans can learn alot from these beautiful creatures. ❤

I'm from Spain and every time I listen to this story I feel sad and kind of embarrassed. I remember that one of the first videos I watched in this channel was the story about George and Yame. It's like I saw them grow up and I remember being all worried about Georgie when he was in a weak health condition. Therefore, even though I love all the lions from the Sanctuary, I feel a special connection with these two brothers. After five years they have turned out into two beautiful and healthy lions all thanks to you. Hopefully I can volunteer in your Sanctuary in a couple of years and I get to see both of them and all the other amazing animals.
